I saw em in a playoff game. I know it’s an awfully small school but they are well coached played hard and showed a lot of class. I suppose the injuries are due to 8 or 9 kids playing Iron Man Football. I wish them well and their program and kids.

I’m certainly not. Moore Co has bunch of Seniors and a couple of “real” athletes. 
But their overall team speed and athleticism is questionable to say the least. Big yes. Strong yes. Quick and Fast not so much. A smaller less physical team with speed everywhere will give them issues. ie McKenzie etc and Definitely S Pitt IF they’re able to get that Far. Could end up being Regional Champs and sitting at Home when the dust settles. Really Hope not. I cannot wait to see MC play S Pitt in Chattanooga.

Looks awfully favorable for Moore Co. But can they really get by McKenzie and possibly Dresden or MASE at Home. They looked fairly pedestrian in the first half at home against City. So I’m not sold on them getting outta the West for Silver Ball against S Pitt.

Greeneville does. And benefits greatly from it. Ask Swipes. They got the “success formula” from Alcoa. Everyone in Greene Co is Welcome to come on in. The Doors are always Open. The Greene Co Allstars are awfully good as a result. With a lot of “feeder” programs to “recruit” they are consistently good. 
Amazing for a HS with 1100 Kids to reload every year. Unfortunately they can’t match Alcoa in the “transfer portal” with less than 750 Kids. They’re kinda like Bama. They have the most talented team but they either don’t develop or just plain choke when it counts. But they have set the “Gold Standard” for “building” a Program. Which Witten at Elizabethton started using by getting a weight room and year round practices. Such a Novel Idea. I would have thought Shawn would have figured all that out on His own. But it’s all because the Devils were lifting weights and now the secret is out. Betsy needs to thank the Devils for “making them better”. Apparently it’s working awfully good considering how Greeneville has done in the Playoffs the last 5yrs or so.

Must be awfully convenient to take Credit for Witten’s Success when you’re sitting at Home. I suppose it’s a coping mechanism or some other psychological disorder. Does Witten get any credit for His Accomplishments. 
Greene Co is Bigger than Carter by A lot. Nearly double the population. Last time i checked Greene Co is mainly flat. Tobacco Country. So to act like any Kid in Greene Co is geographically isolated is laughable. Ever heard of Roan Mtn. I was being generous when i said 45mins one way. More like an Hour. And 40mins to Hampton. Obviously Betsy isn’t getting ANY Kids from Hampton because i witnessed them both play for a State Championship in back to back Games. IF we could have combined the 2 teams we’d have won the 5A Championship easily and probably given the 6A a run for their money. 
I’m glad you went to school with the same classmates from Kindergarten. 
You don’t think a great 8th Grade Football Player at SG or CD isn’t showing up as a Freshman at Greeneville. Please. Not even including the other Co Schools as well. You’re full of Crap IF you expect Me to believe that a D1 kid in Greene Co isn’t enrolled at City as a Freshman. It is what it is brother. I agree on most points about the Education. Heck it outta be a better opportunity or the City is wasting an awful lot money paying their teachers a significantly higher salary than the County. 
So no argument there. Greenville is in an awfully convenient situation with a County Population of over 70,000 people and get the “pick of the litter” athletes from the smaller County Schools. How many transfer for academic purposes vs being a stud football player. I’m guessing 50%. 
Name the D1 football players who weren’t economically challenged that “decided” to stay at Chuckey Doak. But ended up playing for City. 
Sorrells was as good a Coach historically than anyone else Greenville has had and did it playing in 3A before expanded classification. And i don’t believe the “transfer portal” was a big key to his success. 
Rider helped Shawn coach his first 5 or 6yrs. And played at Virginia Tech made a Pro Practice Squad for a couple of seasons. So i believe he’s forgotten more about football than I’ll ever know. He was simply complimenting the Devils for winning a couple of Championships. NOT that he somehow got ahold of Greenvilles recipe for success. IF he could rent a big Helicopter and fly 6 or 7 kids in from Cloudland and 6 or 7 from Hampton. The former being a 45 min drive one way he’d never lose a Game. That’s the Real Recipe for the Devils success. 
It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Heck ask Greenback about the Talent Drain going to Alcoa. And the Tornado Fans aren’t in Denial like you Swipes. You’re in a semi unique situation with open enrollment in a fairly large county. 
I’ll just call Jason and ask Him IF Shawn attributes His Success to the “Greenville Formula”. 
I’m awfully proud of Witten for getting a Weight Room from the Greenville Playbook. Smart Move I’d say. Betsy’s enrollment is going down so i think he’d do himself a Favor by getting a contract with the local Natl Guard and fly a big chopper to Roan Mtn and stop on the way back in Hampton. It’s a Greene Co “all star” Team. Has nothing to do with the “system”  I was really looking forward to the Greene Co vs Blount Co Game this Season. I’d have still gone with Alcoa tho because their “transfer portal” is a little better than yours. Can you check on KEVO for me. I’m beginning to get a little worried about Him. He’s probably just sleeping. I’d imagine staying up all night playing Video Games and eating Hot Wings wears him out. He may be on the pot suffering from constipation. He probably got his check yesterday and could be hungover. I’m praying for Him regardless.

Carter Co is awfully blessed with some really talented and caring teachers for a very modestly funded School System. And the kids at Cloudland have absolutely no problem being prepared for College.

They had no clue I would start 3 years in football and 4 in baseball or my brother would be the starting PG on a Greeneville team that went to state in basketball at 5 years old and paid Tuition for 13 years for both of us.  Which bring me to my next point the taxpayers aren't burden by a county kid going to the city school system because they charge a tuition that is equivalent to the City taxes that goes towards the City school system.  It is on the parents or a family member to pay that.  If you are also a tuition student you have to keep good grades and stay out of trouble or you will be kicked out and they don't care who you are. (Ex. Greeneville had a QB (One of the best to ever come through the program) in the mid 2000's that started since his freshman year and got into a fight his Junior year going into his Senior year and was not granted tuition the next year.  The Qb's parents bought a house in the city limits and moved there so he could attend since the school can't deny access to a zoned student and @noonesfool can attest to this).  What makes these programs great is their dedication to the sport year round and the community support these programs have and will continue to have

I really shouldn’t have poked this bear because i knew that the teams that get rich off the talent in a county of say 75,000 people from schools outside their City Limits would cry foul. I’m Not a betting man but I’d conservatively say 1/3 of Greenville’s current football players come from Greene Co and not Greenville. Sure there’s some kids that don’t transfer probably because of economics and transportation and have to stay in their school district that are really good football players. I know Greenville has D1 football players come out every year. Can’t remember the last D1 kid from NG SG CD etc. . Is it really the “program” or do you possibly think that these County Kids that would be D1 regardless of where they played are drawn into the City System. Where’s  KEVO btw. Probably still in Bed. He seems like a night owl. Hope he’s doing OK. He seems to think Ballard created a Football Lab and that all the other programs got better when they copied the formula. I guess AC got in on it as Well since they road graded the Devils last season. And I’m pretty sure that Witten must be awfully impressed with what you’re doing that led him to becoming successful.
