Some notable wins from Section 2 Single A… - Tyson Click (SESI) (9th grade) over Maddox Gilkey (Hixson) (12th Grade) Fall: - Daniel Odom (SM) over Keanan Cummings (Marion County) 6-3 decision. Keanan was leading 3-1 before Odom got a takedown and three near-fall points late in the third period. All around a great match between two great wrestlers. - Elijah Turner (SD) over Wyatt Howard (PF) 3-1 SV-1 (Overtime). There were plenty of great matches today with Signal Mountain wrestling great and taking 1st with a team score of 164. Nine wrestlers from Signal will advance to the State Tournament next week. Pigeon Forge took second with a team score of 155. Nine wrestlers from Pigeon Forge will advance to the State Tournament next week. Soddy Daisy took third with a team score of 129. Eight wrestlers from Soddy Daisy will advance to the State Tournament next week.

A couple of upsets from the Region 4 Single A tournament…. 152 - Anthony Copeland (East Ridge) pins Logan Rawlinson (Soddy Daisy) in a back and fourth semi-finals match. 285 - Johnathan Davis (Soddy Daisy) pins Daniel Odom (Signal Mountain). Davis had a 4-1 lead before the pin. Odom currently leads their series 2-1 but there is a good chance that they will wrestle again in the sectional tournament next weekend.
