We have a couple going big time college also over here in Henry County. One going to UT and another who hasn't decided but MANY BIG schools in the picture. I see a semis matchup between these guys in the future!! Drove by the school the other day and saw several of the boys working out. We look like we are going to be hard to beat. Keep up the hard work boys. I have been busy and unable to post. I wanted to answer some of your questions. I am concerned about the defense, but I do think we will be fine. I did worry about how Wilson Central was able to run the Jet sweep so easily at times. (that is what we called it when I played at HC). I worry about the speed factor that we will see when we face Melrose and Hillsboro. That is the only worry I have. Other then that, I saw a team that is primed to go undefeated. I mean, Dickson is our toughest game. Be honest and you will agree with me. I'm sure we will have one close region game, but if we do, it will be because we didn't play good on that night. I really see us as being one of the top five teams in 4A /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

I think we could beat them in a real game. I'm sure that our coaches would prepare more for them and yes Allen and Teague would be more of the plan. We know Allen and Teague can play!!! We saw this last year. So, did Gaddis, os yes it is wise not to use them too much the other day. I am concerned with our Def. Front, but I thought they looked not to bad against a really good 5A team. I agree Wilson Central would give Melrose and Maplewood good games. I think they would probably beat both of them. Heck, they have more good players. Isn't that why they are 5A? They have more students to choose from, right? I am even more excited about next season after watching us go toe to toe with a very good 5A team. For once we agree. I did see what I thought was a very good 5A football team. We will not face anyone as good as Wilson Central this year. 10-0 is a long way off, but not that far when we will not face anyone as good as Wilson Central. IMO. That first drive was very good and very impressive. And the fact that Teague and Allen were barely used shows that I am right. 10-0 will be seen this year and this may be our best shot ever at getting to Murfreesboro. 10-0 will happen. Look at our schedule. Dickson is the hardest game you have coach. They are tough because they are 5a and they are always tough vs. us. I'd say a round four game will happen if we can get by Melrose. We won in the mound before, so I see it happening again. So, get back to coaching the team and forget about getting on the boys here. I can tell you coach. Allen will rush for a bunch of yards and Teague will score two TD's also. Wilson Central will do well against the so called weak defensive line, coach, but we will get better and will win the scrimmage. 10-0 here we come

I love talking Big Red Ball, but I must say you must be a coach. All you do is talk about how soft we are and I think you must be trying to calm down the boys to keep their heads on straight. Get over it coach. We are good and we will be back in semis against Hillsboro, probably! This time we get it done. Heck, I can't remember the last time we had two big time recruits! We will not be soft. 10-0 here we come! Maybe 14-1 at the worst!!!

I didn't mean anything bad when I said "should have lost Melrose game" I was just refering to a huge break, but I remember my coach telling us that good teams make their own breaks, so I know that is what happened. I remember leaving the stadium that night telling people that we would go to Murfreesboro because teams need some luck along the way. Not really with what we have coming back. We will go 10-0 and then kill someone from Memphis then play Fairley and we own them, then Melrose in the third and semis against Hillsboro or whoever beats them. Almost made it last year and we have our Big guns back for another season.

What will Dickson County bring to the table this year?

HC is no joke. It is not our fault that we are put in this WEAK region. We only lost to Munford when we were just starting to get things rolling here. We now have it rolling and it is a weak region. The only hard games for us next season are Dickson (they are 5A and always a rival game), Melrose (should have lost this one last year, but we got a big break), the semis vs Hillsboro or someone from Nashville and then Maryville in the championship!! Hate to state the truth, but that is the truth. If we get through Melrose then we have a date in the semis and this year we get over the hump /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

I didn't know people were on talking HC football. I just don't read the T as often this time of year. Glad to see it!! Yanker there is NO REASON to worry about this region. This region is a joke. I really just like alot of other patriot fans get bored going to the games until playoff time. I mean we go to the game knowing it won't be a contest!! ESPECIALLY JCM!! Although as a former graduate, I do like watching us dominate JCM!! Henry County will go 10-0 this season. I said it last year and we slipped up against Westview. Gaddis won't let that happen twice!! First of all, all I did was state an opinion. I do wish we had two high schools in Henry County and unless you are a board member and afraid you wouldn't get the job wih one school board then you could see where we would benefit from smaller schools. I also since you are always questioning my opinions, I went on coacht schedules and took some time to look at the football schedules. NO Dickson was 5-2 in their district last year and lost in first round. This is still good and this is not meant to take anything away from FB team. Last five years we are 31-29 overall. We have been in 4A for three years so you could take away two of those seasons, but I got tired and only went back 5 years. 2003 1-9 (1-6 vs 5A) beat Mcgavock 2004 2-8 (2-5 vs 5A) beat Mcgavock/Kenwood (now 4a also) 2005 7-5 (1-1 vs 5A) beat Dickson lost Rigeway (Rigeway semis in 5A) 2006 9-5 (0-2 vs 5A) lost too Dikson/rigeway (dickson out in 1st round/rige out in 2nd) 2007 12-2 (1-0 vs 5A) beat Dickson (out in first round) Now what is obvious as I stated before!!!!! We hire a new coach and things get better. But the MAJOR change was going to 4A see the records show. Now, I am for the basketball coach. I feel in time he will do the same thing Gaddis has done for football team, but that is why I said I wish we could go down in classification. I forgot that we couldn't go to AA so that is why I said two high schools. I am done with this. I have said my piece and the proof is in the pudding!!

I graduated from the city school system and then from Henry County. I am one that is for two systems. I always hated having to play with the boys from the county on the football team. Heck almost all of our starters came from the city. Just think what we might have done if we would have been in a smaller school!! Instead we all played for the high school and had to play teams like Hillsboro, Glencliff, HuntersLane, and Antioch. My dad had to drive to Nashville to watch us play. I am not the only one in this county that wishes the city would get a high school. The ones that are against it are the ones from the county. They know where the better team would be!! Aside from that. Great win last night. Go to Dickson with pride and play good!!
