Thinking back on the season, there were some great games. I am a strong supporter of Mid TN soccer and have been for a long time now and followed most of the top teams in the area. Here is my list of some of the best games I saw this year, what are yours? Father Ryans: Ryan @ BGA. Ryan was down 3-0 at half and looked more than overrated, but they showed why they won state in the second half coming all the way back to tie 3-3 against a very talented BGA team, watch out for them next year. Ryan vs. Brentwood: In a game the pinned 2 of the top teams in the state against eachother, this game had both high drama and high class. In one of the cleanest games I saw Ryan play all year they came out on top with one of Gallagher's throw-ins, hence why he is on the all-midstate team. Ryan vs. McCallie. the Irish again showed they were destined to win it by coming back not once, but twice against a very talented McCallie team after going down a goal with 2 minutes left in the 2nd OT. Plus the game went into pk's, need I say more? Ryan vs CBHS: Wow this game featured one of the top forwards in the state in Ramsey against the Irish defense. With a back and forth game and Gallagher throwing the ball in again, and from what I hear called his shot, and CBHS answering and the McWatter's penalty kick save that was nothing short of phenomenal. Brentwood. Now Brentwood has already mad one appearance on the lsing end but this one on the winning side Brentwood vs Hendersonville(part II): This game went back and forth with Ogilvie proving why he is the player of the year and is probably the best mid-fielder in the state. To add on to his 2 goals, the game went into pk's what a way to end a championship. Hendersonville: Hendersonville vs. Parkview (GA) Don't know too many details on the game except that Daniel Kelly hit one of his volleyed free-kicks, the kid is just phenomenal and that game put TN soccer on the map with some of the best teams in the nation.

Did a little more research and here is my final Mid-State First Team: Fwds.: Kelly, Lowder, Rodrigues, McDonald, (Not sure if Rodrigues will be fwd or mid). Mids.: Ogilvie, Gaffney, not sure who else Defense.: Ravenwood has a good one, not sure of the name, Gallagher, T.J. something from Hendersonville, and Rhoda might get it from MBA or Bristol from BGA, I think is should be Bristol. Goalies.: McWatters Boyette Prince POY: Ogilvie chose hime over Kelly because 1 he is a senior and thats what usually happens, and 2, he is a moer complete player

Well with the all Mid-State team coming out tomorrow I am going to give my predicitions on who should be on it: GK: Boyette, McWatters, and Blackmans goalie Prince? Def.: Bristol, Gallagher, and one of Hendersonvilles backs. Mid./Fwds: Rodrigues, Ogilvey, Wonderlin, Lowder, Kelly, McDonald, Whitlock, Ryan Morgan, POY: Daniel Kelly

Thanks FairBall, glad to hear that the Ryan players didn't let the crowd upset them, and just fed off of it. As opposed to what I heard about their game with BGA earlier this year with players making the wrong we're #1 gestures to the crowd.

I heard that Gallagher and the CBHS fans were getting into it a little bit when he would go throw the ball in. Any info to back this up if you were either in the stands or on the field? What was said or any gestures?

Now that the Tourney is over, name you All-State team for DII. If you want to give your explanation, feel free.

Few questions, I have read in the paper the past few games that Gallagher has had assists off of throw-ins and free-kicks, if it was that well advertised, and with CBHS coach having film from one of the kicks, how did they let him find what constantly seems to be his target Rodrigues? When do all state teams come out?

Now, I didn't catch any of the games on Saturday, which I greatly regret, but it was said that Hendersonville is ranked 9th nationally, now how is that possible when they have virtually the same record as Father Ryan, and lost to Father Ryan?

Well here are my predictions: First Round Father Ryan vs. ECS- 2-0 Ryan, ECS doesnt have the overall team to keep up with Father Ryan MUS vs. McCallie- 2-1 McCallie in OT, toss up? Knox Catholic vs. BGA- 3-2 Knox Catholic, dont know much about either, should come down to the wire CBHS vs. MBA- 3-0 CBHS, word on the street is that MBA is slow in the back, should be a cake walk for CBHS, plus they have something to prove from last year Semi-Final Father Ryan vs. McCallie- tough one to call, but I say Ryan gets revenge and wins 2-1 or 2-0 Knox Catholic VS. CBHS- 3-1 CBHS, they want another shot at the title, score 2 goals late for the win after going into the half 1-1 Final Father Ryan vs. CBHS- in a game that could be the top final out of all classes, I am really not sure who to take, I think the game comes down to OT or to PK's which would be awesome if it were to end in OT, so with that said I am going to take Father Ryan 2-1 in OT

The D2 state tourney is shaping up to be quite the event yet again featuring many top teams from around the state. The format is as follows: Father Ryan vs. ECS MUS vs. Mcallie BGA vs. Knox Catholic CBHS vs. MBA who wins these games and what are the scores? try not to be biased

Ryan and MBA go into their heated rivalry on Thursday night with the region title on the line. Last time Ryan got the better of them winning 3-0 and MBA not doing to much. MBA is coming off of a huge win against BGA(way to back up the trash talk) and Ryan destroying BA. Who wins this game, why, and game is at Ryan at 6 if MBA fans go I will go to because that should be fun to watch, fight last weekend between football players, and Ryan will have their fans there too. p.s. MBA fans please come, its makes the atmosphere that much better when both sides are there

where do i go after i get there?

yeah, probably should have gone to a school outside of d2 if he wanted to win state in the next 2 years, but he wont now because of sophmore sensation Tyler Davis from Father Ryan
