Well they've officially made a decision. I'm not sure who, but full disclosure I made this account as a burner to ask about the school after I applied. The Principal emailed everyone who applied for the job informing us they made a decision, but they didn't blind copy all the emails so I can see the email address of everyone who applied (never seen that before). Looks like 20 applicants, and 21 if you count the official hire.

pdover1776, since you seem like someone involved and from the community, what are the actual issues with Sunbright? Is it really just a matter of the size and there not being enough boys in the school to consistently field a team? Or are there other issues with the program an outsider wouldn't know?

Has there been any update on this job yet? Admittedly I'm not familiar with the area, but is there something about this job that would be scaring off applicants? After looking at some Hudl and a full game from last year that's on YouTube, you can tell they aren't playing well but it's not like they look drastically different than your average small, rural school.
