Seems more like another stepping stone hire to me … would be a good hire just something tells me Comer would only be there a short time not a long time but that’s majority of 1A now a days. Lake County should be a destination job where Longevity and continuity isn’t a problem.

Camden , Bruceton, Mcnairy County , and Lake County, Lexington..any word on the coaching searches for these programs? I’ve got a pretty good idea of Brucetons but then again maybe I don’t

If/when Milton transfer’s to mckenzie , that obviously changes things . Those other two you speak of could very easily be placed at WR however .

Swenson will sure as heck run his star QB in the ground though and give him knee problems in the process. Seem like he would want someone to get them tough yards besides his star QB but that’s always been his way as HC .

It’s a great job to have for sure .. probably top 10 for 1A ? It’s at least debatable It’s just been a stepping stone job recently though .. hopefully y’all find someone who will stay and build a legacy there

He’s been the OC there at least 2 years, maybe 3 ..had a large part in that offense since at least this SR group coming up have been Freshman .. but you are entitled to your opinion.. if you don’t think he will be a good Head Coach who will stay there a longtime that’s fine.. i’m sure LC goes another direction anyway.. like a middle school coach .

Yea i’m sure it’s something that has been discussed at the least . I asked some Mckenzie folks around the program and they confirmed it … so who the heck knows . There’s even a promising young player at Mckenzie looking to transfer because of it as he feels he should be a starter . If Milton transfers, he would be a better fit at Huntingdon IMO

It’s because it’s remote and in the middle of nowhere and it’s in poverty . I’m not downing Lake County , I actually love it, there’s just something about it that’s mystifying ! This is why I think Xavier Garmon would be a perfect fit , he played and lived at South Fulton … was a QB for Memphis and a couple of other Universities… the fella above said he’s only got one year experience as OC and that’s just not accurate… he’s been there at least 3 years and he’s a successful black man that would do wonders at LC .

He would be the perfect hire .. he’s the type I couldn’t see leaving .. the only reason I think he wouldn’t leave for LC is because this coming year has a chance to be special for SF or maybe he’s the coach in waiting to take over once Coach Knotts retires.

Nothing official.. look for it to be Clay Mcmackins though … I only personally know of two candidates and one isn’t likely as he’s living all the way in Colorado but it definitely perked the ears of many in that area as it was a former alumni and mr football winner for them . The board is a mess over there right now . Clay would be an excellent hire as he’s got experience as a OC and many other positions in college.. but we shall see

I’m a Huntingdon alum, Huntingdon should never go back to 1A again BUT we know how that works . Peabody either , and i’m going to add Mckenzie as well, if your school has a multi million indoor facility you don’t belong in 1A. If your town has a Lowe’s and Walmart, should not be in 1A .. with the exception of Humboldt, I actually believe there dwindling numbers lol.

Union City being in 1A is more questionable.. i’m sure Peabody and Huntingdon drop back to 1A as well . The numbers game has always been a joke , fixed to meet the needs of tssaa

Camden could be a sleeping giant with the right coach , it’s insane the amount of players you see on the sidelines every single year and yet it doesn’t produce anything, the town support is huge… nice facilities, new field FINALLY lol … Mcconnell was supposed to be that and it wasn’t that long ago when I was playing when Camden VS Huntingdon was a huge rivalry , we couldn’t stand Camden .

What’s next for the Camden Lions ? A lot people seem to want Josh Wolfe, has he even been coaching anywhere ?

I was doing some research , Coach Dowland was a head coach before at Caruthersville High School and once a offensive coordinator at shelbyville .. just thought it was interesting he has a background on both sides of the ball
