overton finished first regardless, you said ravenwood would kill overton every time they played. overton has heart! overton 13 Ravenwood 1 last time they played
Who pitched for Overton. I thought overton was going to have an off year because they lost a lot but they are rolling. Hopefully they keep it up and get back to state
Overton has went 6-1 in their past seven games including wins over Farragut and Riverdale. The pitching staff has a very good 1,2 punch in Goodenow and Johnson. Hudson and Sutherland are ripping the baseball and Overton looks like a solid team. I think Overton has a shot at state
overton went 5-1 this pre season and there only loss was to smyrna where they pretty much gave them the game. I think overton will be a very solid team and has a good shot at winning the district. Everyone has Ravenwood way better than everyone else, but Franklin has a better lineup and maybe a better team than Ravenwood
Overton really worked as a team instead of individuals. They had a banner season and Coach Morrison did a terrifice job. If there was an award for "Coach of the Year", he should definately receive that award. The Juniors and Seniors not only worked hard on the field, they became great friends and supported each other every step of the way.
Goodenow is being heavily scouted by MTSU, Vanderbilt, Lipscomb and Austin Pea. In addition, he has been invited to Yankee Tryout, MTSU Showcase and has been and continues to be scouted by the Pirates, Yankees, Marlins, Detroit, and more.
With the 2005 season ending and all the Seniors moving on, what should we expect out of the Juniors moving up to Seniors. What team will stand out. What players will excel? Any comments on college scholarships or MLB interest?
Congratulations to all the Bobcats for a fun, successful season. Many of you will move on, several will move up to Seniors to carry the load and ALL of you will remember 2005! thumb
Just wondering what Richie Goodenow from Overton what looking to do next year. I've heard he's been scouted by several Pro Teams and about every local college is after him. Any inside information?
Richie Goodenow has everything going for him, including, or so I've heard, good grades. He is a powerhouse on the mound, a vacuum at 1st base and one of the best DH's around. He has been heavily recruited by both college and pro teams since he was a sophomore. He will definately receive a free ride - probably to the college of his choice - but don't rule out the pro's, he still has another year to shine. I wish my son has such tough choices when he's a junior at Antioch.
