absolutely, this week is huge for our region 5 1A teams. a win or lose has a possible impact on CW, CV, Eagleville, Richland, and WC in placement or even getting into the show!!!

There is a lot on the line in this final week for region 5 1A teams!

Ya, Eagleville has really put itself in a bad position...the upset with WC beating CW, which i did not see coming, is crazy. i dont see how that even happened honestly...and the fact that Eagleville lost to a WC team that should not have beat them is on the Eagles...however, the scenario you have is true...but i will tell you this, Eagleville has a 4-0 record at home this year and have outscored opponents 136-0...so if anyone thinks that Eagleville is just gonna lay down to Cornersville has another thing coming...anything can happen in high school football, we all know that and have seen some things that make you wonder...this Thursday night has a lot on the line for both Eagleville and Cornersville, but more for Eagleville because of the situation you mentioned above that could play out. its going to be a good game!! We know what we have to do!!! Lets have a good game and that both teams regardless of the score come out healthy!

Good luck with this game...Collinwood is tough, be prepared to stop the run...then they pass a couple times a game lol, but at least you get them at home, unlike our 2hr drive we had to take to get there. good luck.

Eagleville did not take care of their business. Scored 14 quick points then went flat. Defense played well, just on field too often. Offense started hot then started to shoot themselves in the foot. Anyway, we probably just about put ourselves out of the playoffs. We need lots of things to happen. We simply did not take care of business today. With 2min left, eagleville drove it down to the 5 yard line and could not put it in. Could have tied it up with the TD and 2 point conversion. Oh well... Eagleville 22 Wayne co 30

thanks brother...And MC is MC, so no hanging heads, lol! i honestly believe they will probably win 1A this year barring any injuries to their starters...and yes, its gonna be fun watching the kids play Friday....that's all i do it for man. i just love to see my kid play and out having the best times of their lives and some do not even realize it yet!

And Eagleville losses are to MC and Collinwood who is very underrated and is actually #9 now in 1A...and both were away games...WC just got destroyed at home vs MC. we have made some offensive changes and our starting center who was out against Collinwood and Huntland should be back this week as well...we will see, the trip always sucks going 2hrs away, but oh well that is playing County football.

Eagleville is coming off a homecoming game win over Hunland 35-0. Our QB is hot right now coming off a 4 total TD game Throwing for 270+ yards. Now the Eagles will travel the 2hrs to play Wayne Co in their homecoming game for a region 5 1A showdown...both teams need the win to keep in the running for a playoff spot in region 5...Lets go Eagles. Ok, so i agree with coaches decision...however, when the Freshman had that long run i thought coach might give him one more carry to finish the job and then maybe go ahead and get in victory formation. but it does pump up the junior and seniors when they see their teammates who usually are the scout offense and defense during the week...so i see where you are coming from brother.

Yes i agree, we have been trying to get him playing time every game...but, he was slung into action because of a small hand issue with our starter who swapped in and out at RB the rest of the game. Will, did a great job, and is getting better...this of course his first year playing football! he was slinging it...he threw 3TD passes and ran for one, great game for him.

We let our younger kids play the 4th quarter to get experience...no need to run up score honestly...doesnt prove anything...some teams just like putting up big numbers on inferior teams. Coach Walker is not that kind of coach, never has been. We have Wayne Co. Next. Hope we can keep rolling on this win.

Eagles win 35-0 over Hunland. Coach Walker called a kneel down aftera freshman, Johnathan Jordan had a 35 yard run down to the 1 with 1:20 left on clock. Respect. Good job Eagkes

Southtowner, you are right, both teams are really in need of this one...i really hope we (Eagleville) can pull this out...our starting center is back, and that is huge because we run from the gun 100%...but i believe our kids are ready for this week. If we cannot get this, we are in trouble!

Brother, i agree with you even being an Eagleville guy!! Dawson is just a great player and a game changer, i have had to deal with him at QB for the last 2 years watching our guys try to wrap him up, it is not an easy task! If he does not get Mr. Football for 1A, im not sure people voting know what they are looking at.

If Dawson White, QB Moore County, does not get this in 1A, something is wrong...this kid is not just good, he is a game changer and has proven it in every game they have played this year and last year...and im not even a Moore County guy. But that kid is amazing to watch even if you are on the other sideline!

Brother, yes! they were super pumped and lots of energy on their sidelines! it was also their 50th year of football Friday! but they are a very physical on both sides of the ball...they have some very big backs they wear the defense down cause they run a lot) and some good linebackers on the defensive side...i guess the test will be when they play Moore County...also they are pretty senior heavy, and i believe they are a sleeper as you said. We just have to take care of business and hope for some breaks...good luck this week to you guys. we have Huntland coming to Eagleville this week.

Eagleville was not on tonight. I am not sure what needs to happen, but it needs to be turned around. This performance was not like them. But, Collinwood played very well and they are a tough pretty good size team...especially their backfiled, goodness...some big ol boys! Anyway, hats off to collinwood...on to the next one!

Eagleville does not look like the same team that played MC. Energy is low, missing the starting centet. They are down 19-0 halftime. Shooting themselves in the foot. Hope they come out to play in 2nd half or we will be headed home with a big L.
