That’s my exact thoughts and I was just saying that it really shouldn’t be listed as a stat cause it doesn’t come from stats. I wasn’t trying to rant or discredit the guys he was mentioning in the stats I was just voicing that a Mr football finalist really doesn’t play into the quality of player he is or talent he has. It’s just 3 more days and we will see who’s gonna walk away carrying that gold ball

I was just stating being a Mr football finalist as a stat doesn’t mean much of anything other than an opinion. He asked for stats I saw what was said. He also left out a DE that upperman has was also nominated for Mr Football that whole thing is stupid to me. If they actually went off the stats of a players it would mean something but opinions of a player cause he balled against certain teams doesn’t do anything. Mr Football finalist doesn’t mean much to me in this state. They have chosen some that deserve it and left others that really do deserve it off that list over others that really don’t even belong on that list.

Honestly Upperman responds very good to being the underdog. They have speed they have a very strong running game they can pass the ball short and long. Most of all there defense at all levels are strong and there defense line will force a QB to make mistakes. I have watched most of PC season this year and I really feel Greenville was a better team than PC. They are fast and have a power back and a QB that can sling the ball. It’s gonna be a good game to watch I can’t wait to see it.

I was reading this and I’m a little late to this discussion but all of these kids were part of the middle school championship team and the incoming freshman on this team are also from the 2021 championship team. Most of these kids all play basketball together and also baseball. Kids don’t leave Cookeville to play for upperman Cookeville schools struggle cause coaches play mommy and daddy money ball. Johnnys dad donates a lot of money to the booster club so Johnny is guaranteed to play at whatever position he wants. Upperman plays the best kids no matter what grade or what parent donates. Coaches at upperman don’t have relations with parents they inform parents and tell them what’s needed sorta like a co-parent relationship. So when you line up to upperman just know that every kid on that team has earned playing time it wasn’t just handed to them. And this post came after upperman has made there way to the state finals they have fought everyone in there path to get there.
