I played for Jamie at another school, and I must say the he is a great coach. I wish him all the luck and I hope to see him coach some in the upcoming season.

Whoa, Ledbetter is a great guy, but is he the right man to lead a school that big? What past high school coaching experience does he have, besides being an assistant at Cookeville? I feel that prediction is alittle far-fetched.

So, Kennedy gets to pick his successor? That's alittle odd, especially knowing that Shanks is at the helm. I thought it would be better to get to know your coach, and him know his team, as soon as possible. So, it is a wise move to let Kennedy keep his choice a secret until he leaves? BTW Does Shanks ever come out and help the team any? He was one of the best coaches back in his days at Upperman. I wonder if he has thought about getting back into coaching?

If Cookeville wants to win and have a coach who is committed to stay there, they should go back and offer the job to Butch Chaffin. The only problem is that he might not accept it since he was treated so disrepectfully the first time he held it. He is a man who loves the game and would not leave the job anytime soon.

Coach Ruehling is an outstanding coach whom I have great respect for. What is he up to these days? He will be a great head coach.
