  1. Both TSSAA and Tennesseerunner.com show the individual finishers, but how do I see the Team placements?
  2. I heard 14-0 CPA at halftime. nothing since.
  3. He was wearing a boot on his right leg/ankle during the 2nd half of the game Friday night. Can someone give more details, like how bad was the injury and when will he return to the field?
  4. Fromthetop knows what he is saying. According to the Tennessean stats, Brentwood was penalized 14 times for 126 yards, and Smyrna 7 times for 65 yards. That doesn't count the declined penalties! It's always been said that if you looked closely enough, you could throw a flag on every play was almost proven Friday night. And Bwoodbruins, whoever you are, get a grip.
  5. I have heard the old saying that you could throw a flag on almost any play in football if you look hard enough, and that was certainly true last night at Smyrna. I don't know the exact numbers for the game, but at one point Brentwood was flagged on 5 or 6 sequential plays, though some were declined by Smyrna. While I am not saying there was absolutely no fault involved, I did see that only Brentwood's offense, an occasionally it's defense, was heavily penalized. Smyrna's team is younger and less experienced than Brentwood's, and I find it hard to believe that they were that much more composed on the field. It truly seemed that Brentwood was being picked on by the officiating crew. The end result of the flag-flurry was a fired-up defense that rose to the call, held Smyrna's offense and blocked a field goal attempt and later a punt. I don't know if there are plans to lodge an official complaint about the crew, but I hope someone does.
  6. Just want to give a big THANKS to all who are reporting updates and scores on the boards!! I can visit CoachT, but can't interact from work and you are my lifeline for scores. Keep sending 'em!!
  7. Must have been an april fools joke--I watched him pitch a few weeks ago. If he's giving up baseball, he's not smart enough to go to Vanderbilt!!
  8. Look back to the Tennessee Copperheads to find a group of freshmen to be watching. Sonny Gray, Brett Lanning, Matt Williams have already been mentioned and played for the team in the past. Franklin High has Matt Headley and Casey Dykes seeing varsity play, BGA has Zach Brannon who is looking to get into the mix and Brentwood High has Ben Burgess. Several other Copperheads are playing JV and/or varsity, as well.
  9. You all have me really looking forward to my trip to Knoxville next week--we get to play at least one game at Farragut. I've seen many of the stadiums that are mentioned, but not Farragut. If you want to differentiate between outsided funded stadiums and school funded stadiums, I think you have to list Brentwood as one of the contenders for a school funded stadium. Maybe not the top one, but getting better every year. (Yes, I'm a BHS mom!) We try to put on a good show during the Varsity games, too, with trivia question give-aways and ticket drawings.
