You are right Alcoa did play a great ball game Saturday. But unfortunatly they didn't have 14 hits AC had 4 errors Giving Alcoa 4 or 5 unearned runs. The triple was only b/c an outfeilder decided to dive for a ball he that wasn't with in 10 ft of him or it just would have been a double maybe just a single b/c the kid that hit it did not have great speed but is a very good hitter and catcher. But over all Alcoa has improved hitting the Ball well and their deffense was awesome AC hit some pee rods and the infeilders would just snag'em or knock them down and throw out the runner. Alcoa will be tuff to handle if they keep playing this way.

Last i heard Russell moved up north somewhere and is now living in a monistary training day in and day out on how to become a Monk..

Seymour was on top last night winning 4-3 with Church on the mound and Kyle K. closing in the last inning. Sophmore Eric York started for AC pitched great just left 2 pitches up that left the ball park. AC had plenty of chances leaving baserunners stranded numerous times. Great game to watch two good teams playing great fundamental baseball. Defense was good for both Seymour scoring all their runs in one inning with a 3hr and a solo hr. Kyle closed bringing the heat AC had the gun on him topping out at 91, living in the 86-89 range with a little control problems at times. Overall a good game for both teams to start the season.

You know they might have been outscored that much in district!! But I believe that was about the same ratio between Anderson County and Catholic when they played each other all 3 times in the district last year. You need to have respect for your fellow baseball player. You can't go out and beat any good teams so you have to trash talk the weak ones to make yourself feel better. Enjoy playing the game and be thankful you get to go out and step on the diamond with your fellow teammates while enjoying the commrodery you will share with one another.. GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR SCOTT CO.

Seymour travel to Anderson County This should be a fun and exciting game. These two teams are hard nosed baseball teams that go after it hard on the field and have to up most respect for each other off the field. Everyone should go about playing the game this way.

First of all If you know anything about high school sports if you are even half way decent at a sport you will start recieving letters. Second of all if my kid went to perfect game and i spent all that money he better be getting drafted. I know kids who went to perfect game it is not all its talked up to be. Plus be sure these so called letters are not just asking him to come to there summer camp or somthing that i'm sure will have you writing in your check book! O yeah Anderson County has an outstanding sophmore class with Adam Guinn- started as Freshmen, Jordan Rorex- started as freshment, and Eric York- started as freshmen. Which is saying alot since this team went to state last year with a 34-7 record.

Thats a good question.. But its hard to tell who has their best line up on the field and who is just making sure kids get some playing time/ some experience...

Anderson County 12 Powell 7 Umpire Really hurt pitchers for both teams.. Had to throw it right down the middle to get a call but most of the time just prayed for a ground ball or fly out.. All the hitters knew not to swing unless it was down the middle.. Thats why their were so many runs scored.....

No JOKE!!!!! If Scott Co. keeps getting transfers in they will be taking on minor league teams before you know it!!!!!!!!!!!!! But here is a challenge for you.... Find me a high school baseball program worth a crap that does not have a transfer or a player who is not zoned for that school.. Think about it. If you keep up with baseball in this area you will not find one.. Matter of fact Rumor has it Catholic got a few Transfers in this year and last year..

I think loudon will upset of people this year.. I have followed them for years and every year you think they are down they wined up being pretty good....

I agree CAK will be good..But AC seems to have all their holes field from last year. Don't count them out so easily.

I agree Kyle mashes.. I heard he had a little tryout up at Walter St. and was hitting them over the score board on to the tennis courts... WOW!!!

Just wondering who will be on top in AA ball in the East since everyone is talking about the west..

Who has been recruiting????

I would like to see a team that has never had a transfer or a player come to that school who is not zoned for that area.. When a student/player is going into high school they have a choice to where they would like to attend high school for whatever reasons they want. People need to stop being jealous and just deal with it....

For that matter who did they recruit? Sounds like someone is jealous????

Very well said!!!!!!!!!!! The teams in this district over the pass years have been really good. Most of the time the 3rd and 4th place teams who don't even make it out of the district are better than most other districts 1 and 2 seeds...All you have to do is watch the rankings. I know their has been alot of times where their has be 3 teams out of this district ranked in the top ten in AA throughout the season..

Well all the talk about AC needs to stop. They are a very respectful team but lost their starting SS, 3rd basemen, Catcher, and centerfeilder. One of those being Jermey Chesney who was a very good pitcher in their rotation. Good luck to AC but they will be very lucky to make it out of their district.

Well the AC handed it to Catholic all 3 times last year. AC can be labled whatever they want..

Ok WOW! Well it shows you have not done your homework on this matter saying that this district has been ranked in the top 3 toughest district for like the last 8 or 9 years and same goes for the region too. I am not sure but if my guess is correct you are probably from catholic and you want to talk about an easy confrence/district wow just look at DII. I mean all you have to do to make it to state their is win like 2 games... So what year do you think this district has been weak?
