Poor DeKalb. Seems as if they can't win for losing, but it does seem to be looking up for them. One story in the local newapapers was about former coach Anthony Fuller showing himself at the school board meeting. I also heard that he addressed the board in "an old, dirty t-shirt, cut-off shorts, and flip-flops." That goes to show that he apparently didn't care about how the board took him. As for Steve Trapp, I think that he would be an excellent choice for the high school football team. I have watched him coach Jr. Pro Football, and he treated those 10 year olds as if they were 16 or 17. Imagine what he would do with a high school team. I think that this year will be rough for DeKalb Co Football, with or without Steve Trapp. But if they get Trapp, the years to come will be great.

Our prayers should continue to go out to those that are injured, but they should also go to those players who are still able to participate in sportin envents. The accident that hapened with the football palyer and the softball player goes to show you that any athlete risks being injured every time he/she steps onto the feild, court, etc. I will mention this to our church so that we can lift these players, teams, coaches, and families up in prayer.

I completely agree with the fact that the players and fans do not show enough respect while the national anthem is being played. At our school (I live in a small town where most ppl are of Christian faith) most ppl are respectful so we haven't really been introduced to the controversy. I feel that if a school holds a moment of silence then it can be used to pray if you want to or if not just stand ther and be respectful. Our boys say the Lord's Prayer before they go onto the field and i think that is an excellent way to witness to ppl. It says 'hey, even though we're young, we still make a difference.' I feel that if more teams would do this before each game then more ppl would be respectful to the flag and what it stands for.

I think that LA is doing well this season, but DeKalb will be right there on top with them.

Why do you say that Moreland is tha best. I think that you need to do some research b4 you jump to conclusions about who's tha best.

One of the beat rival games to watch every year is Soddy Daisy and Red Bank. They get rough, and I'm not just talking about the players. Fans r sometimes ruthless! It's an awesome game to watch, even if you have no connections with either team.

I think that 7AA is tougher than it was last year. I think that it will be Dekalb, Smith and LA in top 3 but i'm not sure the order (I'm rooting for DeKalb! thumb ) As for mvp, I'm not sure.

DeKalb is doing AWESOME this year. Although their standings aren't as good as they were at this time last season, they have a great team. A factor that could be holding them back is they have more younger players then they did last season. I think if you give our guys a year or 2 to mature, then we will be unstoppable! thumb I'm proud of them because they want to win and they know thay they have the ability to do so!

Who is number 30?

At our school, the coach makes an effort to give every girl at least a little playing time, even if they aren't that great of an athlete. He plays girls who do not get alot of varsity playing time in the jv games...regardless if they are a freshman or a senior. I feel that if a freshman has more skills and could benefit the team more, then they should be able to play varsity over a senior who isn't that great.

I think that DeKalb County has the potential to be awesome this season. If it would quit raining so much and let our girls play, they could be AWESOME!! Their coach works them hard. I think that the time and effort spent will pay off! thumb
