  1. Does anyone have the stats on the tri county girls? ppg is alright but I would like to know some % stats of attempts for 2's and 3's. 12 point ave is alright if it isn't based on 3of 20 shooting. No special reason just curious about the top players esp. Eliz and UC
  2. A coach is only as good as the schedule they play. Weak schedule means wins and keep everybody happy. Then tournaments begin and they go home quick.
  3. Disable your firewall and pop up stopper when trying to add games
  4. Scores from Alexander Central. And could someone post UC schedule.
  5. What I can't figure out is who has Greeneville beat that makes them crow so loud? Other than Science Hill at HOME. Who have they beat? Jeff County record 3-19 2 times Morristown East 2 times record 7-13 Cocke County 2X record 7-20 Chuckey Doak 2x record 1-15 Cherokee record 13-10 Pigeon Forge 2x AA South Greene 2x AA Morristown West Split Record 13-9 Gat. Pittman AA record 5-20
  6. Get used to it at Eliz. home court. Most of the time all 3 refs are from Eliz. and if JP and Mr. Footlocker are calling game is decided by half time. They get other teams starters in foul trouble then its all over.
  7. The first week of December will show the cougars meow. Big time boys. In the class you are supposed to be in not playing AA teams now.

  9. Homecoming Queen dies in a fiery wreck. Brian Mills News Channel 11 Sep 25, 5:21 PM EDT Brian Mills News Channel 11 Send E-Mail Biography On Friday seventeen-year-old Courtney Hensley was over the moon with joy. She had just been crowned David Crockett’s 2005 home coming queen. “We said oh you look great wonderful she said don't you like my dress its kind of tight but boy I need a cheese burger”, says art teacher Kay Grogg. A family friend says Hensley and her friend Cortney Beard were on their way to Walgreen’s to develop homecoming pictures. They never made it. Instead they were rear ended at a stoplight on North Roan Street, their SUV becoming engulfed in flames. Beard is at Vanderbilt Burn Center in critical condition. She had been dragged to safety. “I went over and held her hand when she see me she's like Seth what happened what happened”, says school friend Seth Cochran. Courtney Hensley died trapped in the fiery wreckage. The school says her loss will be deeply felt by everyone at David Crocket High School. “ She was just friends with everybody there were several kids she cared very deeply about that were not your normal kids that people would care about she deeper than the surface”, says art teacher Kay Grogg. Hensley’s family must now deal with this senseless tragedy. “ The last thing when I went over to the house just now that her sister told me was to be sure to tell my daughter to hug each other and tell each other they love each other because that's important because pictures don't mean any thing after they are gone”, says Kay Grogg. But few will forget her joy Friday night. A joy that said world here I come. Sadly that dream never got a chance to reach it's full potential.
  10. It doesn't make sense to make a player choose which sport he plays. You take 5 good above average baseball players who are also real good in basketball or football choose 4 of the 5 will choose the sport they are real good in. It looks like the coaches should work together for the better of the school. Player for reference! Ross Garland from Happy Valley a few years a go. 4 sport and I may be wrong but all state in 3 of them. Put the sports back in seasons and close the other facilities when the other sport is going on.August - Nov. football. Nov.- Feb basketball. Feb through dead 2 weeks baseball.

  12. From what I've heard. Through Little League and Middle School this class was never beat by a Carter County team. Wasn't they ahead of the team that won the tournament 5-0. And isn't that team made up of players from several different schools.
  13. If it is like here in Upper East Tennessee. The J.C. Press looks they chose theirs simply by what school the sportswriters have family attending. They don't cover but certain teams.
  14. how does someone get hold of jarfly to talk about pitching lessons?
  15. Obvious the Johnson Ciy Press are the ones that chose the team. Player of the year and pitchers is about right. The rest is ????. Being as the only teams the press covered was the Washington County and Elizabethton games. How can you choose a team when you haven't watched all the teams enough to know who should make it?
  16. That is nothing for you to worry about. You chartered bus driver is the one that would have to worry. Point is. It is closer to Canada that Memphis.
  17. 1 field can play as many games as 4 fields if the games are scheduled correctly. Less travel time more convenient. Biggest reason is $$$$$$$$. You could play on less fields if they played more games a day. But if they do they couldn't charge for sessions. All broke down to spread out the money. More locations more money to hosts.
  18. Like some of the Halls fans. After game started came over and sat on opponents side. Every pitch yelling come on blue and laughing about it. 3 or 4 of them smoking like freight trains and the TSSAA officials ignoring it. No smoking at athletic events isn't it? Ride home smelling like stinking smoke.
  19. 2 brackets for baseball and softball. West Tennessee teams in 1 bracket East and Middle in other. Play West Tennessee teams in Asheville, North Carolina. Other bracket in Tri-Cities area.
  20. It could be worse Rangers. Have a 5-24 season like humboldt and stay home. Nobody in a state tour. should have to play 2 games in 1 day. Schedule is just poor organization. In a sport like softball where they can play 2 games in a day their schedule had winners and losers playing 1 game a day. Spring $$$Ka-Ching = poor management
  21. Spring KA-CHING is what is was all about. How many games was actually played in Memphis. At least it was in Tennessee. In the softball girls wasn't introduced, no P.A. announcer plus get this never was the National Anthem played. If you got a drink at concession it was a 15 minute wait. One window open 1 order at a time. Go sight seeing in town you are constantly being bummed. Local tournaments is a credit to this Spring ka-ching. $$$$$$$$$
  22. Softball hasn't had the respect from the TSSAA or anyone as far as the Spring Ka-ching is concerned. Mississippi has had more coverage than Tennessee.
  23. Since softball is separate from all other Tennessee sports. Can't even be played in same state. Let another city host it on its own. What a tournament it could be. Bring the top 2 teams from each regional tournament and have an A,AA,and AAA in Divsion I and the same for Division II keeping the private schools all in the same division 16 team each class State tournament. Four 4 team pools. Pool winners have a 4 team double elim. tour.
