No she wouldn't be the 18 or 16 under pitcher if she was only 14. Maybe she wants to enjoy playing ball and not rush up to the older team. Just because someone plays an age group higher doesn't mean they are better (not referring to waters)

exactly, and thats why this website is here. To get peoples opinion of things. And if certain people want to talk about Waters, Perioni, Troglin, Millwood, Thomas, Fairbanks, etc. they can. I just know who I like and I am intitled to my opinion just like everyone else. Why does it bother everyone so much that waters has competition (not referring to only Troglin). Soddy is used to being in the lights and this year their bulbs got blew, but next year is going to be totally different, RB won't be the same, and neither will the other teams. My last comment is that I keep my opinions on here and not at the ballfield and i hope everyone else does the same, because when it comes down to it, its just a game.

I have posts about other pitchers also, and maybe i am a red bank fan. everyone else has one person they praise a lot so why can't I.

I'm not bashing other players, that sounds like what you just did with Troglin. I just said thats my opinion. She out pitched them sometimes, and they outpitched her sometimes. Maybe waters hasn't impressed me much either.

Best of Preps isn't a best team competition, its for the best all around players

one comment about how they can't wait till after season....when i was in high school, I made Best of Preps first team and they DID wait till season was over. I had to track my coach down to get in the school in order to get a uniform for the picture. Nominees are sent in before, but i didn't get the call saying I was picked to come in for a pic until a few weeks after season. Also, because they waited till season was over, they got to see the whole season and my coach received coach of the year which was a great decision. If they would of done it before the end, they wouldn't have seen my team go as far and he probably wouldn't have been picked.

I agree Bledsoe, Troglin pitched better then waters and a lot of the girls listed above her on Intimitadors list and her teammates helped out a lot. I haven't seen anyone like Troglin in a long time, she is definitly someone to keep your eye on in the future. But this is just someone opinion and mine.

well if the choices were left up to the right people (coaches), the right PLAYERS would have made it.

They can't base them all on stats because If I'm not mistaking, Kelly Troglin from Red Bank had a better record then Nikki Waters, and Nikki was out part of the season (not positive). I agree with what someone said before about RB won as a team, but Kelly should of made First team, and Soddy should not of had 4 first team players picked. Also, I think it is ridiculous that Soddy gets to share team of the year with Red Bank. They get team of the year, and didn't even win, and showed poor sportmanship in the champsionship trophy ceremony (well, the coach did). And I also hear that Soddy wants to replace Kirk with a coach that teaches in the classroom, and they are fining him for acting like he did!!

All the coaches nominate who they want from their team and turn those names in, after that, I don't know. Also, Its suppose to be better then All District, but i don't see how it really is because i hear no Red Bank players made it and they won state. Best of Preps should be best all around, but I heard someone say they only go by regular season, but if that is the case, it would be the same as All District

That is what I was trying to say. Kelly did get MEGA help from her defense like said before, and you are right, a pitcher is only as good as the defense behind them. I also wonder how they saw great plays but didn't see the strikeouts though, because she did have them and i believe you are right about the average of 7, which it plenty to win a game or two with the right defense behind you. Red Bank is definitly a team that can credit a state championship to their 9 players on the field, the few supporters on the bench, and the three coaches. They all worked excellent together. Next year doesn't look as good as this year, but winning isn't everything, and I know that Kelly and the other returning players will go out there with as much heart as they had this year, and try just as hard.

austin Eagles and Falcons will probably have a run for it. Eagles just got first place in a tourny at Jack Mattocks last weekend

Mandi Cline has done a lot with the Red Bank program, even if RB hadn't won state, I would still say she has turned it around for the better
