someone doesnt know Les Trotter or Summertown basketball very wel. The whole team aint nothing but SHOOTERS.

I have seen the TP insurance work really good. IF the locals dont want to take out the insurance then the football plauyers still clean the yard, but its $10 a day. I have seen the homeowners bake cookies for the "cleaning crew", and it kinda turns into a party.

Here is the funnest Fund raising event I ever saw. You find a local company to donate a nice brand new recliner. THe week of homecoming you sell "chances" to sit in the recliner during school. Everyday you pick one lucky winner to be "king/queen of the day" The football players are recruited to move the recliner to the different classes and lunch. There is very minimal disruption of the day, if the recliner is put on a rolling platform, and the players are dismissed a few minutes before the bell. On friday the King of the day winner is allowd to sit at the side lines during the game is his recliner. To earn even extra oney, during the game chances are sold the the fans for a chance to WIN this recliner. Since it is almost Holloween here is another.....TOILET PAPER INSURANCE. You allow the locals to buy TP insurance, usually this price is aound $10. If there yard is TPd/Rolled. THe football team shows up and cleans it for no charge. You would be surprised how many girls TP their own yard just to get the football players to their house. LOL

Coach, i noticed that you can buy pics that are in the photo gallery. My question is can i copy and save a pic on my computer or upload it to myspace.com or do i need to purchase them first?

WHere is district 12A playing this year?

Pretty much the only games I get to go to are 11A and 12A. I have seen a couple of freshmen players this year I think you need to make a note of: Tyler Rice-Freshman- Wayne County-He can shoot inside and out-Tall kid with some ball handling skills-hits his 3s-not scared to drive to the basket Bubba Clifton-Freshman-Summertown-One of the best ball handlers I've seen-shoots when he has to, but prefers to assist-Quick on the court-smart play maker Both these players are already making contributions to their teams but given time they will shine brighter.

When is Mt. Pleasant going to realize that Marco is a football player and not a basketball player? He is one heck of a player on the field but on the court he is just ok. They look for him to be the play maker and in reality their team as a whole could have pulled off the win.

All the injured players are playin except for the sophomore with mono and he hasnt really been able to play yet. I do think they have a legit chance in this tourney. Startin seniors=2 Startin Juniors=3 6th man=Junior 7th man=Freshman 8th man=unknown at this time.

oh yeah, I forgot to mention the 6th and 7th man have both scored in double digits. So by no means is their bench weak. I also heard the 7th man recently had a CT scan for head concussion.

Ok i am not a huge fan of Summertown basketball but I am a fan of 12A. THis is the scoop-you are not going to get many fans from there talking right now. THey are tryin to stay quiet and fly under the radar. But this is what i have seen-----They have had a few serious injuries to contend with the past month. Starting senior playing with a broken had, and i hear they have a startin junior just out of the hospital with a serious virus and dehydration, sophomore out until Jan with a re-laspe of mono. THey only lost 1 starter from last year. They dont have much size but their speed will take them far. The team is only 8 deep, but any 1 of those guys can and will score. YOu dont know who to guard because of this. THeir 3-pt shooters have increased in their accuracy. In my opinion this is the best TEAM that Trotter has had in the past few years. There is not a super-star, but 5 guys willing to pass the ball. Look for them to pass the ball, be patient and take the great shot.

How can you list Richland as one of the top 10 in the state? Summertown in my opinion is a team that should make it to subsate. They are tryin their best to fly in under the radar this year, but i got a chance to watch them last Friday in Mt. PLeasant and they had 4 kids that scored in double digits. They looked good this early in the season.

Who do you think will win the game? In my opinion Mt. Plesant is hungry for a win. Last week they lost a heart breaker in McKenzie (football), and they need to jump start their basketaball with a huge win over district rival. On the other hand I hear that Summertown has had some huge wins in the past few games, but they also have had some injuries. They have a starting Senior with a broken hand and is out for a month, a sophomore just returning from 6 weeks out with mono, and a freshman that suffered a head concussion the other day.

There are also different types of good. There are good ball-handlers, good rebounders, good shooters etc. IT is hard to define the BEST ball player becase there are so many different aspects. Someone might be the best ball handler you have ever seen but couldnt hit a lay up if the court was empty. Or the other way around. I have seen someone hit 39 3-point shots in a row but couldnt dribble to save their life.

Bench scored 30 last night against Loretto. They may not be deep but they can score.

Loretto: Dooley 20, Mcdonald 16 (3 treys), Kimbrel 13 (1 Trey), Long 6, Shelton 2 If this game was suppose to set the mark for Loretto Basketball this season...............ITs going to be a LONG season.

Loretto plays host to Summertown. It will be broadcast on the radio at 106.7 (I think).

Why dont we wait and see how zion does in a few games first. Maybe they know something we dont know. THey might have a secret weapon. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Seriously, the next 3 weeks will tell the story, with Sante Fe, Summertown, Wayne Co and Perry Co all on their schedule. If Zion can make it through those teams they can make a run at state.

From what i hear Summertown doesnt have the depth on the bench that they have had in past years. The team only has a couple of seniors, probally 4 juniors, and only 1 sophomore. Thats only 2 on the bench. Is that enough to make a run for state?

i like it. It beats those where :who is the best, who is the worst, etc.

Have Summertown and Collinwood already flipped a coin for first place? I was under the impression they were tied for 1st.
