How many girls graduated last year from GPS and Baylor? I know Baylor lost their pitcher (right?), anyone else?

Top teams in the Memphis area (in my humble opinion) should be: St. Benedict Houston Bolton Millington Briarcrest Top of my head, probably leaving an obvious out.

I disagree, just got on coacht to see if anyone was talking about my alma mater HCHS and I found a new hero! Prophet, anyone who doesn't get the sarcasm isn't trying very hard and just wants to pick a fight. I got it right away..............by the way, loved the Holiday Inn Express remark, I laughed out loud! Go HCHS!

GPS and Baylor both have great teams, no argument here. I guess we'll just have to watch and see how it falls out.

GPS didn't make it to state last year and St. Benedict lost to Baylor in the title game bottom of the 7th by 1 run. Who knows what will happen this year - but your statement eliminates some talented teams that maybe you haven't seen.

I don't know where twanky is from, but I can tell you that the pitcher from St. Benedict was not high fiving because she hit a Goodpasture player. She actually gets very upset whenever she hits someone. Her teammates were trying to tell her to shake it off while the hurt player was being attended to. Any "obscene" gesture was taken out of context I can assure you. Our girls don't play like that.

My point being, we play good teams from all over. I think many feel West TN teams don't play good enough competiton; hence the "no press". Baylor was and is a great team. We've watched them play a couple of times this year. Of course, we'd love to see a rematch, too; but I think Father Ryan may feel differently. We play them this weekend. SBA only has 6 hitters with 1 or more homeruns.

Thank you so much for bringing us up! Sometimes it seems like we don't even exist in Tennessee softball. There are some quality teams in West Tennessee. St. Benedict is 30-6 and we don't just play at home. I can practically drive I-40 to Nashville with my eyes closed. We've been to both Hendersonville tourneys in addition to Lincoln County and Hoover, AL. We've gone deep (4 and 5 games on Saturday) in many of these tournaments. In state last year (Div. II) we came in 2nd losing to Baylor in the bottom of the 7th - and that was with two sophomore pitchers. Our lineup is solid, and we're only losing two seniors this year.
