Congrats to Goodpasture, they won a hard fought game. They made the plays they needed to win. They seem to be a good bunch of kids. To the Mustangs and the Seniors in particular. You played in a totally stacked region and only lost once in the regular season. Beat the Dawgs twice in one season which in itself is an accomplishment. Nothing to be ashamed of. Yall represented the town real good. Be proud and you juniors and sophomores get ready for next year. We can second guess the strategy in the overtime period for the next 9 months but the worm had to turn eventually. Good luck to all who compete on Friday nites!!! GO STANGS truth out,

O.K. Goodpasture scouting report. When you see them on the field Fri Nite your going to say to yourself this team reminds me a lot of Martin Westview with one key missing ingredient. MARKIE GUY Yep, no one that even slightly reminds you of Mr. Guy in their backfield. Good dependable hard nose backs but none of them can make you pay with that lightning quick burst. Big Offensive line that likes to lay on you all night. Hint, this team would be in trouble if they fall behind by a couple of TDs. Dont look like they play catch up well. They love to pound the ball, 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Occasional pass play but no prolific air attack. If we play balanced football like we have so far throughout the playoff, control the turnovers, we should have a nice celebratory ride back from Music City late Fri Nite. Dont overlook em boys, play every down like its the 4th QTR and your 7 points down, Seniors continue to lead your team. Just play your game, back to the boro one game at time!! Bulldog fans, you should be proud of your squad. They were down 14-0 and got up 21 to 17. We won the 1st and 4th Qtr, yall won the 2nd and 3rd Qtr. Dude, take it down a notch. Nothing but respect from the Mustang Faithful. Milan is still the program that all others are measured by. That was one strange sequence of events. I still dont know how the Carver Coach got to stick around. Should have been tossed. That block in the back call on the touchdown was lame also. The worse officiated game I have seen in a long time. Refs looked confused and unsure all night. Make a call and stick with or dont make the call. I really think the refs got a little intimidated. Whatever, Im just glad we pulled away in the 4th Qtr. Dont want to go back anytime soon. I really think this game will make us more prepared for the showdown with the dawgs this week. We will probably not see anymore overall team speed the rest of the way in the playoffs. Im serious, they had speed at every position. Take care of business this week STANGS! You know the deal you will have to play the entire 48 minutes, nothing less will get it done

Well the Mustangs got out of a tough game tonite. Came away with a W which is all that matters. Carver had plenty of players and their QB is the real deal. This game should give the boys a real shot of confidence. Way to go Coach Wambles. Made some great adjustments in the second half and took advantage of the Cobra's defense. The entire team turned it up a notch in the second half. I know the band dont block and tackle but I for one never want to go to another Mustang football game without the band being there. Real weird feeling all nite at that stadium. Dont know who or what needs to happen to make sure this dont ever happen again, but someone needs to make sure the band goes from now on.
