We'll see how impressive they are in 2 weeks when they finally play some tough competition - Oak Ridge, Farragut and Greeneville at their Fall Classic weekend tournament.
-
It looks like AA and DII really beat up on AAA this past week (at the Collierville tourny and CAK besting Greeneville)
-
Must have been a pretty weak tournament if DB was the strongest team
-
Congratulations on beating Bearden but that game was not yet played when the ranking was released so was not factored into my comments. The team I support has already played Farragut and won but Farragut has a habit of peaking late in the season and it may be a different outcome next time they play. Good luck with the rest of your season.

Fearless is an understatement. 1 on 1 against Tori and you're dead meat. She should have been the GK for the boy's team last year.
-
If they are current - there is some explaining to do - like how can a 1-4-1 team that has lost to 2 unranked teams can be in the top 20 let alone the top 11.
-
Thanks - my bad - it's so confusing having 06 scores and 05 standings. I'll try to be more patient. (Still think mjuhb's is the best).
-
I think it's run with a flip of a coin or a bunch of guys in a back room smoking cigars.
-
Well the rankings are in - finally - but I'll go with mjuhb's rankings any day. Centennial in the top 11 with a 1-4-1 record having lost to Maryville and Shelbyville Central?? Brentwood 4 below Gtown Houston when Brentwood just beat Gtown?? Farragut was given a gift at #10 Can't wait to see the comments today

check with your school's trainer or a local college trainer - they should have some. Also check with your local medical supply/home health shops. They may be able to get you one quick.
-
I wouldn't knock mjuhb or his polls. We all know something about 1 maybe 2 teams but he knows alot about many teams. He is a legend on CoachT and I suspect he will soon be inducted into the CoachT Hall of Fame.
-
Greeneville's Tori Hadjopoulos (GK) and Michelle Meade (Striker).

tough schedule for katie hunter

It really is a pleasure to read the posts between these 2 teams. There is certainly mutual respect concerning both sides. It is the epitomy of sportsmanship.
-
To the young men who played this game - I feel honored to have seen you play. It was a great game played to the limits. Don't let all this "other stuff" diminish what you all have accomplished this year. Good luck to Farragut - bring it back to East TN. Great season Science Hill - I watched you play 4 times this year. You are a great team. To everyone else. There are 2 sides to every argument and no one has all the facts. No one.
-
Wow. I'm eating my words right now. I really thought MW's defense would keep them in the game. Good luck to both Bearden and Farragut.

I wouldn't say there wasn't soccer played today. I didn't have a horse in this race - just wanted to see the game since I live in Johnson City (ok I was quietly routing for SH since they beat my favorite team) but I would say it was two teams trying very hard to win. I had never seen Farragut play before but I feel they played an excellent game very pretty soccer but they were also able to play it physical with SH. I was really impressed with them. Sorry SH but I do think they were the better team today. Congrats to Farragut. Your graduation tonight will be all the more sweet. Also congrats to Science Hill on a great season.

3 goals off PK's! 2 for Farragut and 1 for SH. The 4th goal for Farragut was with about 10 seconds left in stoppage on an open goal since the SH goalie was playing up at sweeper. Eddie Y shot some of those rigth footed rockets from the 18 hitting the upper bar but not the back of the net. Eddie got a red card deep into stoppage and wouldn't have been able to play the first game of states if SH won. I felt the game was extremely physical with players (mostly Farragut's) going down one after another. I think it was Ben B who was carried off the field in the 2nd half. He was fouled in the box AFTER his shot missed wide - that was a dumb foul on SH's part resulting in one of the pk's). I was sitting on the Farragut side of the bleachers and there was lot of fans complaining about the refs but I felt the center kept control of the game considering how hard both of these teams were playing. It was a good compromise between letting em play and not letting it get out of control.
-
you know Bearden.
-
Unfortunately for the Farragut players, they will need to get up about 6am to get to the bus, drive 2 hours, get to the field by 9 and warm up for a 10am game while the SH guys get to sleep in. That's not cool either. I guess there is no perfect solution to the situation. Then again, that's why winning for home field advantage is so important.
-
Actually, I don't think last night's goals are reflected in your total. Someone from MW correct me if I'm wrong - they gave up only 4 in regular season and 3 to Greeneville last week in tourny play. And by the way - MW only gave up 1 goal in play last night. 3 came on pk's after regulation and overtime play. Do they/should they count? They have a very solid defense. Possibly the best. As far as their schedule goes - they were hampered by the cancellation of the Barry Redmond where they could have proven themselves further. However, They have played #4 Science Hill twice winning one and playing them even for 110 minutes last night. I think that is proof they can play with the big boys.

Great news indeed! Thanks for the update. I'll be there routing for Region 1.
-
Yes - you are right. These 2 teams represent the best in Region 1 and both have the potential to move on past Saturday. I have not seen either Farragut or Bearden play and I am sure they are as formidable as always but neither game will be a cake walk for them as in previous years. Good luck to both Morristown West and Science Hill.
-
Both of these teams are very strong. As it should be, the 2 best teams in the region will playing. It will be an excellent MoWest defense against an equally excellent SH offense. Unfortunatley, one has to lose but I feel confident both of these teams will make this year's sub-state with Bearden and Farragut a real battle.

Great game, Science Hill. Congrats. SH completely dominated the game and looked like a championship team. Number8 - you looked good but Eddie Y - well he looked great. Good luck to both SH and MW on Thursday.
