With 2 series left, 3 teams basically control there own destiny. Big series between Blackman/Siegel. One probably knocked out. Riverdale may have advantage with LaVergne this week, then Siegel. How do you see any situation to where Siegel would get knocked out? If they can win one game in each series they will be in good shape. Yes both Blackman and Riverdale are talented enough to sweep each series and Siegel has some work to do to finish it up. But they are far from out of it. I am sure each one of those teams would love to swap records with them. Blackman has lost to Smyrna and Riverdale. Riverdale has lost to Smyrna, Blackmand and Oakland. All three teams are beatable. Should be alot of exiciting games over the next two weeks.
  2. Loved all of the scores. Glad to see the northern part of the county to start getting in on the action. Gotta love how this district race is coming down to the wire with a lot of it starting to take shape after this weeks series.
  3. Thank you David for keeping all us posted on the up to date scores. Also, what has happened to everyone, nobody seems to be posting anymore, not even Riverdale man? I am actually starting to miss all of the talk about the district games and who is going to win it all this year.
  4. Doesn't Warren county do a radio broadcast of their games? If so, what station?
  5. Who does Drew Hayes play for? I watched all three games at Siegel yesterday and believe that McKenzie will win that bracket.
  6. Your directions are correct, but you don't turn on Siegel road. The field will be a couple of hundred yards past Siegel road on the right. Can't miss the fields, they are not a hundred yards from the highway. Good luck, and be careful going over Mt. Eagle.
  7. Is this the same Lexington team that lost to Siegel 23-1 in the Warrior Classic?
  8. I don't believe that Blackman will be forgotten. This district is very tough and it looks like all of the teams returning may be better. It is a very balanced district, which makes it fun. Good luck to both Riverdale and Blackman.
  9. Is Warren County only having one returning starter? Is Lebanon only returning 3-3 starters? That's losing alot of people. I know Siegel is losing 4 starters and a DH. Oakland is only losing one starter. Riverdale is losing their pitching and 3-4 starters. Don't know about the other three teams?
  10. Aren't you guys tired of this? Killian is a great pitcher. He has beat Siegel everytime he has pitched against them except once. That's baseball! Siegel has beat Warren Co. several times when Killian is not pitching. That's baseball! Siegel is a good team that can make it to the region. So is Warren County. They can go far behind a great pitcher. If he gets to pitch twice in the District tourney, they will be a force. But lets not forget that half the district(Blackman, Siegel, Warren Co.,Oakland, Lebanon, and Cookeville) basically finished with a .500 record. This is a balanced district. Anyone can win it. And I really believe, as good as Riverdale is, they can be beat. Good luck to all.
  11. [ * If Oakland and Blackman win and Warren loses, Oakland takes 2nd based on its Blackman sweep. Blackman 8-6 Oakland 8-6 Warren Co 7-7 Yes - Oakland swept Blackman so Oakland 2 and Blackman 3 (Me being a Siegel fan, this looks like the most likely sernario to play out. So, if this happens the seeds would be 1-Riverdale 2-Oakland 3-Blackman 4-Warren Co. or Siegel 5-Warren Co. or Siegel 6-Cookville 7-Lebanon 8-White Co So, Siegel and Warren Co will go at again on Friday and would have to be in the Riverdale bracket.
  12. Heard that Sonny Grey got hurt this past weekend and may be out for the season. Is this true? I sure hope not.
  13. Neil Robinson-Freshman for Siegel. By the end of the season, will be one of the top pitchers in the district.
  14. Congrats to Tullahoma for a great Victory that I really believe that behind Morris will carry them to the State. I was very impressed with their fan support coming out last night to the game. It was the most students that I have seen at a high school game this year. The ump behind the plate did have a really bad night. Not that it would have made a difference, but he was reading the catcher more than the pitch. Even the Tullahoma fan beside me made reference to that. As for Siegel's errors, it was just an off night. Believe me, Coach Reavis has these kids ready to catch ground balls. It was just a off night. Not much difference in talent between the two teams. Siegel said good bye last night to 3 seniors. Thats right, 3 seniors! Not bad for a second year school. How many high schools left in the final 32 had less senoirs? Siegel has a very bright future and a great coach to lead them. Good luck to all...
