  1. How could you be allowed to make that kind of decision, unless you know what these young men went thru to get to State? Was there not a Tourney Director who could make the call? I've challenged the rule on certification and had it go my son’s way but it took Doctor's letters, and daily calls to TSSAA for 3 weeks. So the TSSAA rules have been bent more than once. So the so called "black and white" is a slow gray. It takes time and it is the exception instead of the rule. However, as we have seen in the biting incident at State Duals and the Seymour incident these rules don't bend easily. I was undefeated at 145lbs my senior year and went down to 135lbs as my coach requested. Caught pneumonia then didn't have enough matches to go at the lowest weight. I asked to challenge at 145 and my coach said no because it wouldn't be fair to the current 145lb (his Nephew) so I wrestled up to 160 plus in the districts. BTW-The nephew was beat by a kid I distroyed twice. I was smart enough to say "want I be giving up to much weight" and my coaches reply was you gave more weight than that in football against opponents. Won 1 match against a Hulk of a young man from MBA, almost had my Neck Broke by a kid who took third at state that year. Yep, I never forgot how I didn't have my shot my senior year but "Life isn't Fair" but if there is a chance to make things right, do everything you can to make it that way.
  2. U mean skinny and weak Will either one of those young men be at the Senior Nationals in Pittsburg?
  3. That's a cheap shot. How is Harless mediocre? He won the Chatolic, Bradley, Greenville, Halls, KIL, Region2 and then placed 6th in the state as a Soph. I might have missed one or got one wrong but that record is not average. Your post is less than mediocre.
  4. Just remember that Reviez loss against CH was just a few weeks after he was pinned by Ian Merridth of ND and that was his first full season wrestling. He's come a long way since RMC. Did you get a chance to see him this year?
  5. Thanks, I missed that one. I heard they BB/BL and a few other banned me from that tourney!
  6. Was one of them the young man in the biting incident?
  7. So D-II is really a 2 team Division? Of course looking at team the same could be said of D-1 except in the duals where there has been 4 different Champions!
  8. Wild Cards - If you are not qualified according to the criteria above, do not submit an on-line or printed entry form without permission. You may have an opportunity to receive one of the limited number of wild cards that are determined at the state level to highly-accomplished wrestlers. To determine who your state representative is, email the NHSCA at nhsca@nhsca.com So Fiscon the above wild card does not apply? I could have sworn that we had a kid there 2 years ago that was entered as a wild card.
  9. That's correct. Both matches were close decided by 3 or less.
  10. Go to the site and your coach and take your shot.
  11. two yrars ago the 152lb State Finalist for Farragut lettered in CC, Wrestling and Soccer.
  12. It's not the $5 cost that is the issue, it's being charged $5 every time you have to leave and re-enter. The non-Chattanooga area teams are living out of hotels and kids have to travel back for showers, food, rest etc. Some are paying for parking pass at the down town hotels. They need to sale a parking pass. They clean up on the folks that are going to the Tourney the first time and the teams. They got me the first time I traveled to State but since then I park up the road and walk. If they offered a parking pass with a one time fee like the hotels then it would feel like it's fair. The way niot now you feel like your being taken advantage of.
  13. I feel like the Joker in Batman " where does he get those wonderful toys" or stats in this case.
  14. Did Walker face the Clarksville kid this year? I think Frankie was i the zone at State. He faced Shane Reviez twice this year and each match was close. However, at State Frankie brought his A game and showed that during his last 2 matches.
  15. Just one bit of advice. If your studs are going to go on spring break prior to going then they need to forget about it because the comp up there is the real deal. 18. U better keep RCPs face off the screen or all the TV sets in Kingston will be cracked.
  19. Thats what makes D-I and pre-split days so great. Some young man steps up and is in the zone and wins it. Morgan wasn't a surprise @ 189 to the NE TN folks. We all knew how hard he had been working and that we had a tuff group at 189 from region 2. Justin Knox last years 171lb state Champ called it before the start of the match. I had never seen the 152 lb champ wrestle before so that was fun to watch.
  20. "Great coaching job by SD but Now the "rest of the story" without a pack of Irish, Commandos, Mustangs, and Red Devils you would not have that title, so give those Champions some credit. " Therefore, because of this one sentence, I'm a coward an idiot. Wow, you folks are insecure. Has the bears success and SD always being the brides maid made U guy's this bitter? You really had that chip getting bigger and bigger against Bradley, didn't U. Being kissing cousins and not winning a Championship over the past have made some of you write 3 pages over a sentence giving some other schools Champions some credit. I guess the Great Coaching was a slam. NOT! In addition, if you think Reviez is that bad what does that say for Letner? I think he does a great job for a young man that has only been wrestling for 2 full seasons.
  21. Bad enough to be the Coach but being the Dad brings on more pain. Tyler here's one more for you. My son was going to give up his senior season for a girl. It took the whole team and parents to get him to come out. He ended up as Regional champ and State finalist. Now 4 girl friends later. I'm sure he would tell you he's glad he stuck with wrestling. You can't pass on your god given gifts. We will give your dad some credit for good genes.
  22. He will be! He beat a state finalist and won region as a Freshman. This might give him the spark to take it to the next level. Tyler don't worry about the girlfriend. If it's meant to be it will happen, if not there are lots of beauties who love wrestlers. Good Luck
  23. Tim it's in Pittsburg, PA this year.
