  1. Rubberband man I should have clarified my statement better early Rommel does have bad hearing problems though. Anyways I got some bad news for LC Allen Bean ,starting DT, went down at practice yesterday and he told me that the trainers said it is probably a torn MCL. However he also told me that he still may get to play, but have to have surgery after the season. Also, LC has had some rough practices this week and if they go light for the rest of the week will defenitly be prepared. I still think that LC wins and it is deliverd on the legs of Rommel, and maybe one big pass play by Cusick. If Bean is out which looks likely you will see a lot of lineman go both ways. LC 14 CC 12
  2. Lenoir City is a year away with their front seven. But the secondary has some solid players and that is where the experience lies. The offensive is highlighted with a big o-line with RT being 6'3 290 and the LT being 6'6 290, but behind the offensive line is a very good tailback Rommel Hightower. Rommel is about 5'8 180 and can run around 4.5/4.6 speed. He is hearing impaired, actually deaf, so they use signals to show Rommel audibles and such and Rommel has improved on the mentall side of the game to become a solid force at TB. Zach Cusick is the QB and is 6'3 180 and has a canon for an arm, but seems to struggle making quick decisions. However, he did throw for 430 yards against Fulton last year in ONE half. The WR are solid but not real big. Overall, LC has a solid base of talent it is all about if things come together for them whether or not they can pull some upsets this year. I have never seen CC so I can't underestimate or overstate their team, but if their main playing style is runnig the ball they might have a chance to pound the rock. My PREDICTION, very close and low scoring. The weather could be wet acording to future forecasts, but you know the weather forecasters. Lenoir City 14 CC 12
  3. Just got back from Loudon Jamboree and Lenoir City was impressive. Even if it was Sequoyah High School. Rommel Hightower, on LC's opening play, ran a 40+ yard TD. Then the second string running back ran for one the following drive after just two plays. On the third drive they grinded it out on the ground for another touchdown to cruise to an impressive 21-0 win. I don't know how well Loudon did, cause I left early. Someone respond......
  4. First, Tennessee gets who they want to get and they do this because they know what they want. It is their jobs and they are darn good at it. Second, when you throw Chad Pennington into players they haven't recruited that they SHOULD have you are wrong. Coming out of high school Chad was lucky to get a Scholy from Marshall he was getting mostly DII offers. Also, he was no where close to being ready for the SEC at roughly 170 lbs. Chad wasn't good in college until late in his career when he had Randy Moss. Pennington himself has said he didn't deserve an offer from UT (Manning and Martin were on the team) and has worked extremely hard to get where he is. Next, you can say UT is miising out on a lot of the best in-state prospects but look at Dardin and Cozart two of the most highly rated players to enter UT both flops. What I am trying to say is you never know. The only two star player UT signed this year was out of Miami and is a WR Ulysses Alexander. Alexander was a huge pickup for UT, he is a big WR who was hurt for the entire SR. year, but had a big JR. year. He would have been a four star player if not for the injury these are the special cases that UT will look at and evaluate and decide. Time will tell with Alexander, but I would rather risk a Ship on him rather than a A Star from Tennessee saying Alexander's competition is much better down in Miami.
