not sure but I'd guess it's been the West teams lack of success offensively the past few yrs in 2A vs middle/east teams. TC is very potent offensively this yr.

FC won last year 30-0, TC won this yr by a similar score.

Cardfan, how does this years adamsville team compare to last years? I thought Neary was a very good player last year and I'm sure he's even better this yr but would like to know about the rest of them team. How is your OL & DL compared to 2012 and the qb? Do y'all still dress 60+ players?

Yes, we played Signal Mtn the same yr they destroyed & hung half 100 on an over rated TCA team in the finals. The difference in our game vs them was we lost in the last minute at Signal. TC also lost to them that yr late in the 4th. TC had won back to back gold balls prior to Signal Mtn & we won back to back after Signal. Use the off season to work on your defense TCA and remember offense sells tickets but DEFENSE wins GOLD BALLS!! That's why you have none.

TC ain't gonna be surprised. They've played Gallatin, Goodpasture, Grace, Marion, & FC just to name a few. Adamsville has played an over-rated TCA team who is very one dimensional with 0 defense. No doubt Neary is a good player but Trousdale players have seen Great RB's their entire careers. For starters they scrimmaged CPA, then faced Beech each if the past 2 preseason jamborees. Not to mention they've faced the past 3 State champs in 2A as well as last yrs 1A state champs with a Great RB. You may want to get out of that glass house you live in Jackson, cross the TN river and come watch middle tn football. Most round here would tell you it's tougher to win the old Region 4 with TC, gordonsville, & FC than the state title!

Bring it back to region 4 district 8 TC. Hands down the most dominant region in TSSAA football in ANY class.

dont kid yourself Raven it was never in doubt! Looks like another title for TC and the old Region 4. If so it will be 6 titles in 6 yrs!! Good luck jackets! Man that's hard to say.

Of the 4 teams in it I'd say TCA is least likely to win it.

Tca's problem is it's been 3 years since Signal Mtn embarrassed them with that blue cross beat down! I guarantee you Adamsville still has last yrs whooping on their mind that's why their fans are a bit more respectful this time around.

whoa step away from the pipe your smoking!! I guarantee they have seen 2A teams the past 3 years with more athletes than anything your TCA or aville squads have. Look up the past 3 state champs rosters & scores of the championship games. The west is laughable!

No thanks! On a serious note GRACE has great athletes. Having seen them on tape vs Boyd last yr & against our guys in baseball the past 2 yrs I can say they will pass the eye test when they exit the locker room. However, there is a lot to be said for playing sound competition and being able to impose your will on your opponent. TC kids are always 2 things: Mentally tough Fundamentally sound Add to that they will be more athletic than anyone grace has played at the skill positions. If I'm mckamey I do anything it takes to get a 2 score lead (9 points) which is a lot tougher than it sounds. Once TC is down 2 scores their base Offense becomes a huge liability because regardless of what TC fans say, they can't throw it enough to beat great teams. Conversely, TC's staff has faced great throwing offenses before and have had success. In 2009 they were the only team to shut down Lee Maasen and FC's high powered aerial attack. In 2010 they held eventual state champ Signal mtn to fewer pts than anyone and nearly beat them. Last yr they slowed fc's aerial attack but couldn't stop the run, however they were very young at that time.

GRACE being at home is huge. Not that it's going to give them an advantage but just the fact that the rams won't have to go to the creek bank. Knowing GRACE's knack for choking in Nov it concerns me that they haven't really played anyone as physical as TC and they haven't been in a situation where the other team is as talented. Friday night they will face a team and group of kids who have faced (on the field) multiple state champs in their careers. TC players and staff have seen first hand & beaten quarter finalist GALLATIN in 2013, they've seen last yrs 1A state champs gordonsville, TC faced and competed with the last 2 yrs 2A State champs FC. These jackets have seen & realize the level of play needed to win it all. It concerns me that GRACE hasn't even faced an opponent who has been on the field in Cookville.

as a follower & fan of FC he was at the dance too. Unlike you he had a big ole state champ private school grin on his face at the end. I have the utmost respect for TC football & it's tradition after seeing it first hand for 30 years. However, GRACE is talented and more than capable. I picked Grace last spring. Prove me wrong again TC.
