  1. thanks for scheduling then unscheduling us in next 2 yrs of football. Best of luck!
  2. thought being from Boyd Buch you'd remember the COMMANDERS after last yrs 2 baseball matchups & the last 2 yrs football semi's vs FC. May want to memorize Goodpasture mascot - Cougars- for future use. I'm saying them, Boyd, & Knox Grace will be seeing lots of one another in fall & spring title runs.
  3. who are the Crusaders? Just curious
  4. upset is what all of 1a will be after FC wins it this yr & Goodpasture rolls down to 1a for the next 2 yrs. They're easily the best team FC has seen each of the last 6 years minus 2011 version of Riverside/Gant. Estep can flat coach & they just reload the talent in Madison.
  5. i couldn't agree more. Each yr I see his team 1-2 games & I always leave impressed at how they do all the little things so well. Additionally, his kids swing it as well as any team at any level 1-9. Excellent coach!!
  6. FC 10-0 over Marion in 6 inn.
  7. please set down your black & gold shaded glasses daddy Illini. FC hardly got spanked losing to 6a Clinton MS 1-0 in 8 inn, 8-7 to 3a Houston high (who has owned MJ in baseball), foley Al, and another 6 a school for MS. Last yr FC won the same tournament. If you want to talk spanked look at that MJ vs little old Jackson Christian a former 1a school earlier this yr. MJ has over 1200 students while Jackson Christian has less than 400 like FC.
  8. actually there's little or no difference in pitchers 1-4 at FC. Godwin is the clear #1 based on last 2 yrs results. Swindoll & Remus are Srs and solid 2 &3 but jr Mike Hawks got the win vs Beech and has pitched as well as anyone this season. Of course if you remember correctly, commanderman, Sr Caleb Snider has beaten multiple AAA programs the past 4 yrs as well as some top A programs. FC is undefeated two yrs running vs 9AAA. Kudos to the teams that schedule them.
  9. wow, obviously your not from Watertown. First of all the football rings do count because FC attracts kids athletically because they compete in multiple sports. Several of those winning & wearing rings would not have been enrolled had a change in coaches not have occurred. Secondly, a TRUE-H2Otown fan would never make a comment like "FC should never lose to Watertown in anything". If your a player or coach worth their salt you should expect to win - regardless the opponent. Should H2O always beat RBS or Pickett in basketball? Maybe, but they haven't. I know most Watertown alumni from decades past expect them to beat FC. Their decision to drop FC In football however does reflect an attitude like yours. It will be interesting to see in Bradshaw decides to avoid FC for easier competition in the years to come. Which brings me to my last point of response. Yes, Bradshaw beat FC bad at Watertown. But answer this, how did they turn around 2 wks later and only beat that same FC team by 2 in the districts? I mean FC had only 1 upperclassman on the entire team. H2O has 7 or more sr's and at least 2 jrs.As for McNeal having more talented teams in yrs past. Maybe, but scheduling up recently and playing completion like Gville, DCA, TC in the regular season & Maplewood, in the preseason developed his team for the post-season. Good coaches learn from the past and adjust. I'd say Bradshaw has made some adjustments from the past. Thus leading to more success at H2Otown.
  10. wat? Yeah, you beat us once last yr, but DP wanted to win in football & knew that hasn't happened for Watertown vs FC since the 80's. Instead he chose FC & was rewarded with not 1 but 2 rings, MVP of the blue cross bowl, all tourney in the glass house, etc , etc. By the way, Is Patterson the only Watertown resident with a TSSAA State Champion ring? Maybe that can change next week, good luck from your friends at FC.
  11. still curious about how you could accuse FC of anything with Jackson County's girls recruiting MTSU's Laken Leonard away from RBS, or Jaycee Coe away from clay co. Or your girls starter from white Co this season. How bout the big 6'6 girl from Smith Co who mysteriously ended up in JC a few yrs back? If TSSAA had any case vs FC they would announce it & levy penaltys just like they have previously against schools like BA, MBA, TEMPLE, or Lake Co this yr. make no mistake FC chose to move to D2 on their own accord and on their own time frame. Besides regularly beating up on JC has grown old, like you!
  12. "Too hard"? LOL, when at FC Bradshaw had at least 3 teams with talent better than his team this yr. the major difference in those teams and his team this yr was competition in the region and substate was unbelievably better in years past. You had state champions & runnerups from TEMPLE, Arts & Science and Chatt Grace best teams in his FC years. Couple that with Bradshaw's love for playing easy regular season competition and it made it "too hard" on Bradshaw come post-season.I'm in agreement that it has worked out well for FC (3 RINGS later) boys. I'm all for Watertown and Bradshaw going into the Boro and winning their 1st ring and wish them best of luck, the competition from W TN will be for real. Good luck.
  13. Congrats to Watertown. After 102 years the stars have aligned and they have reached the big stage. I'd say Bradshaw stays in Watertown for the near future. The entire Region 4 was at its weakest level ever this season and Chattanooga's substate teams were terrible. I don't see a huge change in talent improving and everyone knows Bradshaw lives for the easy schedule. FC starting 4 sophomores this season and departing for D2 opens things up for continued success for H2Otown. Had FC stayed he would've bolted for sure. Next years purple tigers will be very young and .500 at best so enjoy next week. Of course more Lebanon zoned kids (3 purple tiger starters this yr) could end up living with "aunts" or SRO's and end up as purple tigers like this yrs teams but with Lebanon & their coaching improving it will be harder to get players for Bradshaw and co away from Lebanon.
  14. If seriously transferring and wanting to play above a mid major DI level in college & hes a RB he should pass on any Wilson county school other than FC. MJ had a great FB in mcCathern & a solid RB in Hopkins the past 2 seasons and neither got "big time" offers. This is with back-to-back years in the 6A semifinals.Wilson Central thus far has had a few players get some mid major or ivy league offers but not skill players. Linemen or linebackers mostly. This might be due to their playing 0 or one playoff game most years and not getting exposure deep in the playoffs. FC has a definite D1 QB who will sign next yr with offers already from UCLA, SMU, Syracuse, etc. additionally they have a sophomore lineman getting serious D1 looks and invites already from programs like Vandy & Duke. Playing DII going forward should only enhance the looks FC players will get. Of course as a RB or skill player the Rutherford & Sumner county schools seem to be putting out the most big time D1 talent yr after yr.
  15. Ha, you would know about JV teams fanatic. Seems like your beloved JC fields one every season in varsity football, varsity baseball, varsity softball, varsity soccer, & varsity volleyball. I tried to count how many times in the past 5 years a JC season ended at the hands of the Commanders or lady commanders and couldnt count that high with my shoes on.Congrats on a great tradition of lady's basketball. It is most definitely a program to be proud of for all of JC. But before you start talk of playing your JV you may want to refresh your memory on all those times FC has played their JV (football, baseball, boys basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer) as they ended another blue devil season. By the way weren't you previously a celina fan? Oh yeah, just kidding!! Rest easy now.
  16. No doubt, that's why y'all have had continued success, TC will play anybody - anytime & expect to win. Playing TC has made FC a better program, but know this - FC won't be bullied or intimidated!
  17. Dude, we ain't trying to catch you. We're looking in the rear view mirror at you!! You have a football trophy case hidden at the end of a long dark hall in your gym. Our state titles are spread across EVERY sport and most academic competitions as well.
  18. maybe, but doubtful. I already know of a couple "new" difference makers to spread that pressure out and weren't you saying this same crap prior to the last 2 meetings?I mean c'mon man, all that huffing & bullying might scare some teams but then sooner or later that bully gets hit in the mouth and he ain't so tough anymore, ex. see what happened 11-11-11. Look it up on you tube under FC vs TC, I think you'll see what I mean. Your soph's are good but they are winless in Nov and yet to be seen in Dec. y'all might shoulda took hints from Gville, Watertown, & Boyd and politely declined games vs FC.
  19. Not to mention any possible transfers each team may have between now and August but FC's 7 sophomore starters & 1 Fr from last season will also be a year older and stronger next season. They been in the weight room too. You may wanna take off those purple hazed glasses and realize their physiques ain't too bad either. Of course those 2 or 3 gold rings they wear look pretty good as well. Kinda gives them a Mr T look.
  20. FC took the air out of it and made Watertown play a 1/2 court game. Similar to last years Watertown vs clarkrange regional upset Watertown struggled when they can't get transition buckets or score to set up their press. They are very average in a half court offense. However, let them score in transition and press off made buckets and they are very comfortable. Cleve had a solid game plan and the youngsters FC have and the lack of depth are much more suited to this tempo.
  21. You are hilarious, really. There is a very good chance Watertown will focus on baseball after 2 more games. They just beat a team full of sophomores and freshmen by 4, have a schedule full of wins vs sub .500 teams, 1 district title in the last 50 years, and have a history of choking in regional play.I wouldn't be making any reservations just yet for the "Boro". However, should the glass slipper finally fit and the water kitties make it, ask any FC fan or player and we can give you directions on how to get there and what it takes to win it!
