  1. First off, both runningbacks were just stellar. Hawkins had 290 and Hightower had 230. Simply the mistakes killed LC, 3 interceptions won't win games. However, I am here to defend Zach Cusick. He has all the tools to be the best quarterback to ever play at LC, but just hasn't had the right things click for the success to occur. Watch for LC to use this game as a motivation for the rest of the season and it be a building block to future victories. Now to Josh Hawkins. I was being "super-sarcastic" with my comments about him. I have competed in basketball against him and even played with him a little bit, but he has really matured since then. Josh, man, you need to get someone to send your highlights out to a recruiting service or something. I have seen some fast players, which you are, but when you hit the corner you were just flying. Really though send some of your highlights to Volquest.com and attend the camps/combines to legetemize your SPARQ numbers. Not under scoring the rest of Loudon's team, but Hawkins = Cozart. Hopefully without the poblems. The play calling you all used was to near perfection. The fake punt and the fake-toss reverse. I hope Loudon fans know if the ball keeps rolling for this team and they upset Alcoa people will start to notice. Although, against Alcoa you will see LC's size but D-1 speed. It will take all the stops to win but play like you did against LC and it will be do-able. LC keep all your heads up and practice hard. The fan support will still be at the games. We all believe you are a good team and it's time to show it. JOSH HAWKINS if it hasn't been done yet send out the videos, because you have what it takes to play D-1. Maybe not UT but certainly somewhere. Both teams keep working hard and Hightower and Johnson keep doing what you all are doing. For the rest of LC's team the time is now to play up to your potential and roll up some wins. REMEMBER FULTON!!!!!
  2. I really enjoy posts like the one above by Newschoolredskinfan. It starts off saying, "well LC fans your all idiots," . Obviously you are a complete fool Newschoolredskinfan, read your very first line. "Well" should be capitalized and "your" should be you are, what are they teaching you? Also, have you ever heard of a run-on sentence. You do know that the first letter in each sentence and proper nouns should be capitalized, right? For example, Hightower and Hawkins should be capitalized. Lets see what else "u" should be you, GODS should be gods, "juss" should be just. Also, the thug comment was started by your fellow Loudon Nation spokesman. Hey Newschoolredskinfan, did you know that sry is spelled sorry. Now to your second irrational post Newschoolredskinfan. I quote, "oh yea one thing i forgot to put the to teams Lc beat was no better then greenback or SW and your a idiot if u think Lc can hang with loudon for 4Qs lc hasnt ran nowhere near as much as loudon or put in as much work as loudon did over the summer so juss keep running your mouth." Once again learn some grammer rules. I mean I know I'm not perfect and really no one is, but come on. "Nowhere" should be anywhere, "juss" should be just, "to" should be two, and don't abbreviate Sweetwater it's not hard to spell. I hope you wrote this message while you were on the phone, cooking, eating, and watching television, because if you didn't and you are a high school student you need to get some help with your writing skills. Greenback and Sweetwater would both get beat by Cumberland County and probably even Campbell County. Cumberland County lost to Bearden 7 to 6 and Bearden isn't half bad. Grant it Campbell County was pretty bad. Hawkins is no doubt your best player, both the Fritts guys are solid, I have real respect for Wiley Brakebill, Ben Everett, and those guys, but flat out Loudon's team is not better pound for pound than Lenoir City. Also Fan2Fan "pansies" I don't know about that. We are a tough team and are plenty capable of handling ourselves. We never said we were going to win state, we just said we would beat Loudon, and we will. Also, here's a little something for you Fan2Fan. Whether you want to believe it or not Lenoir City is growing, Knoxville is growing, and about every other city around Knoxville is growing. For example, East Knoxville used to be where the growth was occuring, correct? Now West Knoxville is growing, correct? Lenoir City is the next closest city to Farragut, correct? Okay so if the trend continues of growth towards the west isn't Lenoir City next, just say yes. Loudon County may have a population of over 55,000 when I graduate. Don't be suprised if Loudon ends up moving back up to 3A in the next few years. WE ARE GROWING AS A COUNTY. Unless another high school is built on this side of the county both schools will eventually be 4A and 5A. This isn't just an attack on you Fan2Fan, but what is the problem with wanting to be like Farragut? Face it we aren't good ole' country boys anymore, we are being urbanized and we should be happy. To sum this up, I would rather be called Farragut wanna be's, than Loudon wanna be's you catch my drift.
  3. Our Hispanic population is about the same as last year with below 100. And what has Race have to do with it. Also, we have thugs take a look at your own school and program before you start calling us thugs. The reason you had players suspended last year was because they were acting like thugs. I don't even know who the lady was who served the kids achohol, but I do know it was dealt with properly. Who is your biggest lineman? What 5'11 200 lbs. LC's line can't wait. The O-Line will just blow open the holes against a very small line.
  4. It's here the best rivalry game of the year, IMO. The Hawkins Redskins vs. The Lenoir City Panthers. If Lenoir City can stop the Pro-Bowl, All-American, NFL MVP Josh Hawkins they have a chance. He is, the greatest running back of all time, right Loudon? I mean Barry Sanders ain't got crap on Josh Hawkins. OK I can't take it anymore. Loudon let me give you a math problem LC>Loudon. OK math isn't your thing, here is a story. There once was a team (Team A) that was bigger, stronger, and had more depth than their opponent Team B. Team A has just as much speed at the skill positions and a RB that is as talented as Team B's. Team A beat Team B last year 34-0. Now pick a winner based on that true story. Here's a key: Team A = Lenoir City and Team B = Loudon. Ok, that was a little harsh. Loudon is the greatest team of all-time, I mean they did beat Greenback and Sweetwater, right. I mean who could possibly be able to beat such tough foes. Sorry FOES means enemy, I'll stick to simple words from now on. Where was I? Oh ya, why LC is greater than Loudon. I am sorry to break this to you Loudon fans, but LC and this side of the county is growing and kind of leaving you'll behind, thus Lenoir City High School is over 1200 students and predicted to grow even larger; while Loudon dropped a classification all together, we moved up one. The depth of a 4A school is just too much to overcome for a 2A school, just ask Alcoa. What I am saying is we have a lot more people to choose from and a lot more people to play in the games. Pretty much our depth should win this game. What I cannot believe is the fact that we are underdogs according to the Coacht frontpage. That will make the (UPSET) that much more shocking to the Loudon Nation. By the way be original with your slogans and don't just copy UT. My prediction is both LC lines play strong. The score WILL be close, but in the end LC depth wins out in a 30 to 29 defeat. Jesse Fritts is the new kicker and will be a big part of the win. However, if LC comes out motivated and mad from last week it could get ugly. That's all I've got to say, and by the way I can't believe Sim's ego would stop such a great rivalry. I think a non-partisan petition should be started at this game and keep this rivalry going. The county can't miss out on such a great tradition.
  5. Lenoir City is pretty good and you can't make the statement "they won't win" because they did beat Fulton last year when they were supposed to get blown out. However, I am worried about how we plan to cover Lee Smith and contain Watts. We should be fine slowing down the run game, but Lee Smith has the size and skill that LC has yet to see in an offensive player. IF LC doesn't turn the ball over and controls the clock they have a chance. Rommel Hightower needs to carry the ball 30 times and we need to get the ball in Jesse Johnson's hands. We should have a chance if we do those things. I am confident Coach White will have the guys ready and LC might shock Powell. LC players don't look ahead to the Loudon game!!! Take it one game at a time and good things will happen. I hope Brannum and Bean heal up soon. Defense just do what you did against Cumberland in the second half last week and you will do fine. Good Luck LC and stay injury free.
  6. Powell is freaking goo so LC will have to play good. Also, Powell is going to be pretty mad cause of there loss to Webb. But LC has the talent to win they just have to play there game.
  7. You are in luck. This is the last year of the rivalry between Lenoir City and Loudon. The rivalry is called The Battle of the Bridge. I don't know how long it has been going on. Before the game their is an annual food drive where the schools see who can raise the most food and the winner gets a trophy. Lenoir City will run the game ball to Loudon before the game and there are some other things that go to the winner of the game, like a flag, the football, etc. LC won last year in a blowout but really the game has been up for grabs every year it is played. I think LC is going to repeat this year what happen last year.
  8. Lenoir City wins and showed they can pull out a win even when trailing at the half. Rommel Hightower and Johnson played AWESOME and Cusick showed his running ability. Personally, I thought LC was just bigger than CC up front. But CC you have some scrappy players and showed great sportsmanship. Overall it was a good game. Now time for LC vs. Powell
  9. What were Hawkins' stats.
  10. Didn't Rommel have 71 yards RUSHING and a TD. But I think he also had a 60+ yard punt return for a TD. So if my math is correct 130+ yards of offense. Case RESTED.
  11. My pick for the game is LC 25 CC 23 Predictions Hightower and Johnson combine for 250 total yards Cusick throws three TDs CC runs the ball well to start the game LC defense gives up two BIG plays LC Total Yards 310 CC Total Yards 230 LC Turnovers 2 CC Turnovers 4 But, LC prevails because of some luck and some misfortunate option plays for CC. I will bet though that LC DOESN'T get blown out nor does CC. This will be close. Mad Dog, David Vinsol, Kevin Harmon, Brian Christian, Jake reed, Alex Cook, Studwell, and the rest of the front seven will need to step up to stop the option. SHUT UM' DOWN D!!!!
  12. With all do respect you all lost 7-6 to Bearden and you say you will blow LC out??? Also, LC was really only BLOWN out once last year and that was to FULTON, who LC defeated earlier in the year. I am not saying CC won't beat LC, but blow them out ya OKAY....
  13. I don't know anything about Cumberland County's team. LC's team played well against Campbell County and if they carry over that performance against Cumberland I think they win. What's everyone's pick?
  14. I was in the stands and saw flat out a CHEAP SHOT. CC your running back is classless and I am glad he is suspended for the next game. All we heard prior to the game was All-State running back this, and Johnson will run for 200 yards. Johnson stunk and was mad about how much LC dominated him, so he was trying to injure players. CLASSLESS. If all I knew going into the game was one of the teams had an all state back I would have have no reason to not believe it was Hightower. He out played Johnson and the entire CC D. But the game is over now and its time for LC to beat Cumberland County.
  15. Rommel was by far the best back on the field last night. Certainly the the most classy. I don't even know his stat were, but he defenitely was better than that Johnson dude. Also, on the Johnson guy that was the cheapest shot I have ever seen. Jesse Johnson for LC was all the way out of bounds and Johnson road him all the way to the bench and fence. Just mad cause Jesse and Rommel were dominating. THE CHEAP hit happened after a like 60 yard return. David Vinsol is a freaking beast out there along with Mad Dog. I give props to Kevin Harmen, too. Heck our whole defensive played well. Jason Studwell, Brian Christian, Justin Brannum, Alex Cook, Jake Reed, Matt Hammit, JJ, Kelso, and they would even be better if my man Bean wasn't out. LC might only lose two or three games this year with a defense playing like this. Zach Cusick throws that fade route perfect and JJ can catch everything. Oh ya Hightower ISN"T deaf, and he feaking dominated you CC. GET OVER IT AND I'M OUT......
