  1. One out of every four teams will get one.
  2. He was 24-60 over the three years at Ravenwood(3-5 in post season play). His "good year" was a 15-18 record. He went 8-27 against non-district teams and 16-33 against a weak district 11AAA. I think those could be some of the "reasons" you can't find. The Principal may very well be the monster described on this site, I don't know. But, she had all the reasons she needed to fire that coach. If you still doubt, have you considered his 9-36 record over the last two years at his new job? If you think that is a fair reflection of the available talent at Centennial, I think you are part of the problem. Those girls need a coach not excuses.
  3. When did he have success at Ravenwood?
  4. I find it hard to believe that a Williamson County school that size does not have five girls that can beat Hillwood. The volleyball team won 38 games this year. This team needs someone to care enough to demand a change.
  5. Not much, if you think the region will be tough. 12AAA is as weak as it gets. Hillsboro lost the twins from last year and Brentwood lost two good guards. Brentwood won two out of three last year in close games. I think Hillsboro wins a close one at home. But what do I know?
  6. Waverly in a close game.
  7. Well said. Do we know for sure that the tournament is still on?
  8. Here's a quick study for you. Hillwood has not won a game in two years and will not again this year. If you will check your third grade math book you will discover that 0 averages into ALL numbers at the same rate. The problem is that the teams that have to play them should not be judged for Hillwoods play. Try the "law of large egos" next time. The answer lies in not using a one to one ratio between your record and that of your opponents. It needs to be at least 3 - 1. The other solution involves point spread consideration and I don't think we need that.
  9. You are correct. Makes perfect sense, does it not? Look, I understand how the system works and that it grows more useful as the season goes along. I just hope Coacht can find a better program to enter the results into. One that considers that beating a weak team by 55 is not the same as winning by 1 in OT. Til then, it beats the heck out of nothing.
  10. Then maybe more weight should be given to the head to head side of the program. Having great teams on your schedule should not be more important than winning those games. You have got to admit, it looks bad.
  11. How can MJ be ranked so high with two losses to two undefeated teams that are still ranked well below them? that seems to be a pre-set bias.
  12. Here are some numbers to think about. Looking at 11AA vs non-district teams over the last three years in games before Christmas. 05-06 won 42 lost 15 74% 06-07 won 36 lost 23 61% 07-08 won 27 lost 19 59% When you look at the records of the teams 11AA has played over the past two years the outlook is worse.

Not so sure anymore. I think I spoke too soon, (can you believe that). FRA is 1-2 against average or better teams and close in thier last two games against teams with a combined record of 4-12. Is someone hurt? Does anyone have a P/C vs Hillsboro score? Did they even play?

  16. This will be the best defense Ezell has faced. I like Lipscomb to win in a close game.
  17. If you have any schedule or match up info, please post it for us.
  18. Grilled please, With Kool Aid to drink.
  19. The Cheatham score was a huge suprise. Who did Flippo replace?
  20. It has never been a rule that one has to be set to draw a charge in the TSSAA or anywhere else for that matter. That thinking is passed on by "experts" on TV from time to time, but is still wrong. If two players are moving parallel to each other and the offensive player turns into the defensive player it is a charge. If the defensive player is backing or running directly away from an offensive player and is overtaken by the offensive player it is a charge. The call is determined by who initiates the contact. The "you must be set" thinking comes from the part of the rule that says you can not take position in the path of a player after they leave the floor. However if you had position before they jumped you DO NOT have to give them room to come down. The TSSAA has a training film for this (at least they used to) and I would bet less than half of the current officials have seen it.
