  1. I think it is AAA Hendersonville and A/AA CAK's to lose. They have a little bit better talent but of course that doesn't win games all the time. D2 is the one that is wide open imo. There are about 9 teams that can compete well on any given day. Brentwood Academy beat a solid McCallie team which demonstrates the parity in this division. The easy pick is CBHS but I'm going to say BGA will pull it out this time. With that said, the interesting thing in the middle is that between MBA, PJP2, Father Ryan and BA, two of these teams won't even make it to state.

    state tournament

    Too many possibilities out there in AAA and AA/A to predict. In D2 I like the following possible 1st round match-ups: CBHS - W1 vs. Father Ryan - M3 McCallie - E1 vs. MBA - M2 BGA - M1 vs. ECS - W3 MUS - W2 vs. Baylor - E2 Possible 2nd round match-ups: CBHS - W1 vs. MBA - M2 BGA - M1 vs. Baylor - E2 Possible final match-up: CBHS - W1 vs. BGA - M1 Final: BGA in an upset over CBHS

Granted I don't know much about PF football but I do know the new coach you are getting and he will instill discipline, commitment to a strong work ethic and generate some renewed enthusiam around the program. Don't second guess why he's at PF and the other HC jobs he's had. I'm certain the AD knows the details behind his recent stops which for those that don't know, have nothing to do with his coaching ability or results. Besides Coach MB being a good fit occupationally, PF is getting a great family along with their new coach. Count me as one West TN fan that will be rooting for PF next year...
  4. Yeah I agree on the scheduling being a challenge for the A/AA school in West TN. Even if you could play in the more competitive tournaments you have so many league teams you are required to play and you have a limit on the number of total games the TSSAA lets you play so it's tough to play the same quality competition during the season that you will see in the post-season (i.e. Westview last year).
  5. Nope....what do you have against FRA? Their 5-0 win over JCS is no different than your 5-0 over Milan. FRA plays a better schedule and will be better prepared come state tournament time than Madison imo.
  6. Jamboree results don't count for anything other than a tune-up for the real season.
  7. Agreed. MW should have a strong defense this year anchored by their GK. The concern with Farragut is how do they replace two of the top players in the state who graduated? This could be the year for a shift or at least more parity in the East.

  18. Here's two cents on the official and unofficial polls. The Eurosport official poll in general looks pretty good with the exception of Hume Fogg and DCA in A/AA which should be switched, Father Ryan and Baylor should be switched in D2 and Collierville should be ahead of Oak Ridge in AAA. In the unofficial poll the only thing that looks entirely out of whack is Baylor #4. They should be higher. With polls there should be some deviations. If anyone can get the official poll to release their voters this might lend some additional credibility to it or at least make the voting coaches accountable. mjuhb will have the same credibility issues because this is just one person's opinion.

    As a collierville fan I would have to agree. What's amazing is that in their division hutchison would rank behind two other teams right now according to the eurosport standings.
  20. The top half looks just as strong. There are no easy games in D2.
  21. When did Baylor change divisions? I thought they were D2.
  22. Who else is good in that part of the state AAA AA and D2?
  23. soccerinfo shows Houston tied Collierville 0-0. Does anyone in the west know if Collierville is that good?
