They have 1931 as a 6-6 tie. My records have it as a 6-0 MHS win.  They may have entered it wrong because 1932 on the site and my records was a 6-6 tie.

The DNA in William Blount came mostly from Friendsville High School back in 1978 where football was hit or miss but mainly a miss but basketball saved the school from total humiliation just as it's decendants at WB carry the same torch brought down from one generation to the next. Thomas Harper (and Devin) were zoned Karns and went to Karns. I worked with mom and dad. Dad was interested in moving them to Maryville and he asked me about MHS at work. Mom didn't want to move. They live about 100 yards from the Bearden zone, but they are across Amherst and the railroad tracks inside the Karns zone.

That ole blind hog found an acorn. It was the perfect storm, playing the game at Alcoa on a very sloppy track.

1978 Maryville was pretty good in AA. They beat Brentwood Academy for the State Championship.

I grew up in the 37742 and it takes me a few minutes to decipher these coded messages.
