I saw Bradley doing that slow shift (Chavis' prowler defense comes to mind) and thought, If we snapped it a few times while they were milling about, we might break a long run or two.

LOL, how woke can a school be when they still have a confederate soldier as their mascot?  If anything, they are trying to hang on to the past as long as possible cause "them were the good ole days".

    MoronTot:

Maryville High School has been know by three previous nicknames — Red Elephants, Crimson Whirlwind, and The Red and Black — prior to 1936 when the school became known as the Rebels in response to sanctions brought against the football program. Maryville High was suspended in 1935 from playing any teams in Tennessee as a result of using two “illegal” players in the previous season, according to an Aug. 27, 2004, story. Its current name is attributed to a comment made by then-Coach Dean Bailey, who said his team was a bunch of rebels against the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association.

He realized that you can’t just pay people to come to your college like he did in high school.

You are a moronic troll. I think he is too clean to work the margins of what is right and wrong like it takes in big time college football. In my opinion, this is a libelous statement and you have just opened yourself up to litigation.

Yeah, I understand the rule and don’t really have a problem with it. Just seems odd that out of 30 games, this is the only one that has a higher seed traveling.

Not exactly the same, but Alcoa and G-P are both #1 seeds, and I would think Alcoa would be the favorite. Alcoa gets to travel up the mountain tonight.

What gets me is nobody on here understands the significance of the Bradley walker game this year. Walker valley is dominating every team they play minus east which was a fluke… but to see Bradley do that to walker valley when nobody else can even touch walker is insane. Bradley mercy ruled them and walker is demolishing everyone they play. That’s pretty over looked if you ask me.

... Science Hill is always in the top 10 biggest state schools but they have never even come close to a championship.        Tri-cities football is a lot of fun locally and we have a lot of passionate players and fans, but in terms of the playoffs it's a dead end.

I wouldn't say the admin is shutting that door but the overall population growth in Maryville has shut that door.  Maryville is at capacity (Can't take tuition students now) and houses just the Sophomore-Senior Class at the High School.  Maryville is buying up property around the school to hopefully change that.

Oh, it's already bought. And they are breaking ground this winter.

The addition will raise the school’s capacity to 2,100 students, enough according to Winstead to serve the district’s needs for “a long, long time,” at a 1% annual growth rate over the next 25 years. - https://www.thedailytimes.com/news/maryville-moving-high-school-fort-craig-projects-forward/article_ce085882-250c-11ee-b63d-2fb929519d53.html
