  1. I will have to respectfully disagree with that statement. From what I can tell, its not the case on the scoreboard or on the competition they have played different from the Patriots. But of course, we'll find out in about 48 hours... Go Big RED!!!
  2. If last week was any indication about being calm, cool and collected when time was ticking - then they passed the test. I am anxious to see how Dodson does against this run defense, having to try and run all night and then be nimble enough to play stud LB without rest...interesting. Go Big RED!!!
  3. Thanks but I cant get it on the work computer...will like it for ya on fb at home
  4. Whose your team oldfan? I didn't review the numbers, but does it seem that the Cougars are a 60/40 run v. pass team? Also, doesn't #25 also play linebacker - a both ways player?
  5. Its not often that the game of the year is the last game of the regular season. But this one certainly fits the bill! I am anxious for this one, have been all year. The Cougars stumbled early, as did the Patriots - and then they both pulled it together to get to this game undefeated in Region 7-5A. This will be a fantastic game to watch with two of 5A's best defensive units on the field. With this shaping up to be a defensive battle, I like our chances... Go Big RED!!!
  6. Its GameDay once again! Senior Night at Patriot Stadium and looks like the weather is going to be perfect for some action on the gridiron! After a two week break, I know that the Big Red faithful will be out in full force tonight. Let's go Patriots, come out with fire and take care of business... Let's Get it ON!!! Go Big RED!!!
  7. wingman, I'm disappointed. Its the first time on a Henry County thread I have seen you support the opposing team! Go Big RED!!!
  8. Very quiet thread. You wouldn't have thought this one would be that way. However, I did see where on the Brentwood Bruins Football site they are talking about a bus trip to Paris with BBQ tailgate pregame. Sounds interesting! I hope they bring a good crowd. I know there will be some great BBQ tailgating going on the HC side... We're only one more day from the return of some Big Red Football!!! Can't wait!!! Go Big RED!!!
  9. Brentwood won't be making the long trip to Paris to lay down and play dead. They have solid coaching and will work to expose what they can about our Defense. I agree that if we come out and play solid, fired up football - then we will take care of business. If we come out and get too wrapped up in the Senior Night activities, then it will be a battle. Looking forward to seeing this one! Go Big RED!!!
  10. What are you doing posting "A" in nearly every topic?!?!?
  11. No worries rb! I don't think you got ahead of yourself. At least we have a start on the discussion now. I hope there are some Bruins that get on here this week! Though I appreciate MJ getting on here and adding some spice. There were quite a few HC fans last night at the UC v. Dresden game. We love our football. But I'll have to say, that's a very different kind of crowd experience over there. Nothing at all like Patriot Stadium on a Friday night! Go Big RED!!!
  12. Ok, now we are officially in Brentwood week! The boys are having their Saturday morning meetings like normal and gearing up for a battle Friday night at Patriot Stadium. Does Brentwood travel well? I don't remember since its been so long ago that they traveled here. My understanding that this will be the biggest test for the trenches, on both sides of the ball. Ready for this one to get here now!!! Go Big RED!!!
  13. Maybe next week you'll get more of a rise out of the HC faithful for your "daring" prediction... Go Big RED!!!
  14. Hey Pilgrim! What was that thread that you posted the ratings and updated region 7-5A weekly? Or did I miss it this week?
  15. And a week off makes many of the HC fans a little more subdued than normal. So this equals a quiet thread that needs to be bumped until the date gets a little closer...
  16. This will be senior night for Henry County. Hopefully the Patriots will bring that high level of intensity to this one and come out firing on all cylinders. If that happens, then I like our chances. But without a doubt, Brentwood seems to be the largest line (both O and D) that HC has faced this year. It is going to be a challenge, but I feel good about our line play at this stage in the year. Its been a long time since we've played Brentwood! Looking forward to it, though its a week+ away... Go Big RED!!!
  17. Thank you JacketLover! For we feel the same way about you guys! I find it hard to call "classless" when a group of kids that don't get much playing time are out there trying to prove they can play. You ask the starting QB who is up by 14 to take a knee. You don't ask the 3rd QB who rarely gets in to lay down, he is trying to gain experience! Great game by Dickson. Particularly the first two touchdowns, impressive. Like MSU said, we were without two key DB's last night and it showed. We will keep improving. On to the next one - Brentwood in 2 weeks!!! Go Big RED!!!
  18. Well, Dickson week GameDay is finally upon us! Can't wait to begin to renew the rivalry. Hoping for an injury free game and one that stays dry - but the forecast looks a little poor. Looking for our Patriots to come out and make another Defensive statement. Without any further adieu... Let's Get it ON!!! Go Big RED!!!
  19. Great nostalgia! Love to think back to those teams, fond memories and lots of fun watching them. But watching this Defense play is alot of fun too! Its Thursday and one day away from the Battle of the Barrell! Can't wait to see this one! Go Big RED!!!
  20. Thanks again Pilgrim, I look forward to this each week!
  21. One thing is for sure, it just doesn't add up for Dickson to be down for as long as they have been. Prior to this year, Dickson was always in the largest class of high school. Meaning that they were larger for school population than Henry County was. So one would surmise that with a larger population, you could pick from the talent pool. Now, Creekwood did arise and reduce the school size - but not enough to bring the school down from 6A over the past several years. So why is Dickson down? I don't know the answer. Coaching? Feeder schools? Talent? Only someone inside the system would have that answer. I just want to see Dickson as competitive again - a good rival! Doesn't mean that I don't want the Patriots to stripe them good Friday night, but I hate to see a storied program in the state that it currently is...
