i dont know where u got 42 min unless u were counting down time, but u are exactly right. Union City A team won the first half by 32 and the 2nd half was won by the B team. weddle didnt shine bc he spent 3/8 of the time on the bench

weddle will show up when he plays for more than 12 minutes a game 13 points in 12 minutes...thats on 3/8 of the game if he had played the whole game scoring like he was he would have had approx 34 pts not bad in my book

i saw the last 6 min of the game, granted that is only 6 minutes and the last 6, but i wasnt impressed by what i saw. neither team was making their shots and appeared slow(it was the end of the game i understand) but thats no excuse, watch UC play humboldt or Lake county, it doesnt slow down(true athletes) im anxious to see this amazing gaurd cj hammonds i think. we'll see if HIS amazing quickness is enough for UNION CITY'S amazing quickness. best of luck to both...UC by 15

so i have heard. fortunately the two games r back to back friday. i'll get to c what grave is talkin about. people were saying all week that cosby would beat humboldt. i have heard taht cosby is better than grace and quicker, tahts wat u need, speed, to keep up w/ w. tn

yet another surprise to humboldt and UC, ok not really. it really is a shame they only let us send two teams to state. friday's games should consist of UC, humboldt, halls, and lake county .....bias? maybe, but u cant hide their abilities. im pretty sure lake county would have won today against cosby and would win against grace also as will humboldt and the same for UC. halls was very strong also this year. now, to ur topic, sorry, humboldt will appear in uniform saturday to play against teir good 'ole buddies union city. we saw how the region championchip ended, one of the best games ive ever seen, expect great things saturday

there u go haha, look at it that way. the cloudland highlanders contained marquis weddle, mr bball, to 13 points. did u notice how many assists weddle had tonight? UC played as a team( the whole team hehe) and won as a team(even if it was just the b team playing the last 12 minutes of the game. i would also love to c UC come over to cloudland, but that sure is a long way to give lessons. now, i dont usually get on here and get tacky but this post just rubbed me the wrong way. #1, i congratulated cloudland above for winning, u made it to top 8! thats an honor #2 everyone also rant and raved that UC would for sure lose to middleton at middleton in the sweet 16 to make it to state, well we won that too #3 im all about u cheering for ur team and being proud, but dont criticize UC because they won i agree, if u won the 7 games(?) straight, u deserved to be there, but no further than semis, bc apparently there are better teams taht deserve to move on. no offense, but i really wish today's games would have consisted of appearances by lake county, halls, UC, and humboldt. the top four schools in district 14a, and possibly the 3 or 4 best in class a in tn. u won the games that mattered, but apparently u didnt play enough, i wish u could have come over to w/ tn for a weekend to see that there are teams taht are far better than cloudland taht UC and humboldt played all season that should be there. go w. tn, represent it d-14a UC vs. Humboldt saturday morn count on it

well, there has been lots of degrating on the cloundland team. im sure they are a great team in their region. UC did play very well. all 15 of them. im curious what the score would have been if the starters had stayed in. the second half was controlled by UC's subs. their b team, and players that didnt make that. there were players that played today that havent played since UC played regular season games with a typical blowout. congrats to wayne co. on their win, dont let it go to ur heads. just like cloudland, hold ur heads up high. u have made it to the final four, but ur journey ends there. go UC

congrats to cloudland. you did win the games taht counted up until this one. u did make it to the 'boro regardless of how tuff ur schedule or district or region may have been. u won what u need to win to make it. now, i guess u see y the west tn teams were talkin "smack" and "trash" as u highlanders accused us of...but i guess we see it was prophecy(no blasphemy intended) hold ur heads up high, u were in the top 8. go UC

stong statement, exactly how many minutes did Weddle play in this game. i believe he went out with 3 minutes left in the 1 quarter. went out with 4 left in the second. dont rememer much about the third quarter and did he appear in the fourth. congrats to UC. how many times does nearly a whole team's roster get to pay in the state tournament?

very valid point, within obion county, just 9 miles away, there's another school, Obion County Central High School, with an enrollment like you would expect from a city the size of union city. Central, teh school mentioned above, is located in the very small city of troy(according to a 2000 census, has a population of 1273) the school had an enrollement of 861 in 2000, which i have heard has grown to 1000+. union city high school has an enrollemnt of 391 last recorded. therefore u can see that many of union city's students apparently go to neighboring schools such as Central and Westview High School(in Martin TN) numbers dont lie, with an enrollment of 391, UC is right there with the rest of them in 1A ding ding, round two, UC continues their domination in the 'boro after a victory over cloudland

i agree, middleton was ready for him and that did cause him to have further difficulty in making shots, but he didnt take many shots, probably bc middleton had him gaurded so well, but just bc he has had one off night all season, and possible his worst of his career in highschool, doesnt mean he shouldnt be awarded with teh award. regardless of everyone's opinion, i dont think it matters because he is the only finalist whose team is goin to state. good luck UC

coaching position...from what i hear there's a dude over in UC that can play ball and i bet he could teach henry county a thing or two. he played in high school, broke a few records if i remember correctly. i have yet to see someone play like him. i dont know a whole lot about his collegeing but that doesnt matter... give him a call 281-330-8004 ask for Mr. Weddle

well, guys, and possibly girls, im glad yall decided to back me up on this argument. i will admit, i have never seen any of the other class finalists, but i know what marquis brings to the floor. there have been 5 or 6 games i havent seen him play in and only once have i been disapointed by what he did, and taht was at middleton(but we all have bad nights) i dont have much against u slamdunker...i just found it outragous that u made a post such as that. who knows, maybe u just wanted some attention. i have yet to see a high school player play like weddle, granted i have not seen any games of aa or aaa this year and i have only seen teh teams in our region taht UC has played, but i will still stand strong in that i believe marquis is if not the best on of the best players in 1a basketball, and maybe all classes.
