  1. I can remember Westmoreland running thier mouths a lot about this time last year. Me thinks they will have similar, maybe slightly better, to last years results. 1. Goodpasture 2. White House...lost a lot, but always does. BDP for a reason... 3-4. Greenbrier or Sycamore - very evenly matched schools 5-6. Macon or Westmoreland - still the bottom of the barrel
  2. I think it will be a slugfest in the mud and muck and wind and rain. Sycamore knows Aussie #6 is a really good player and expects Dixon to be healthy and play as well. Turnovers will be the key...
  3. Creekwood won the game and I do think they had the better team. Both teams made their fair share of mistakes (both had bad snaps, both fumbled, both had missed assignments, etc) and both apparently had missing key players. I do think Sycamore played with a lot of heart and that #6 is a freaking beast. That 70-something yard td run was very impressive as he ran over at least 6 of Creekwood's players...unbelievable run! Taking nothing away from Creekwood as they are on a roll and having one of the best years they've ever had.
  4. Funny you say all this bull Sycamore is talking smack when most of it is Macon fans saying statements such as this: by tigerpride14 » Wed Sep 16, 2009 9:42 am ...WIN FRIDAY NIGHT WHEN WE PLAY SYCAMORE!! GO TIGERS! 48-38 And some others said Macon 17-7 and 41 to something and so on. And really the only one talking smack for Sycamore is the Cheatham County Cubs play-by-play radio guy! And good luck to them playing Mont Central tonight. Im a fan of Sycamore, but make no predictions as both teams dont appear to be very strong. Neither teams scores in the 40's as some Macon County posters have stated. I think the game will be tight and low scoring...and sloppy!
  5. Cheatham played with a lot of heart last night and never quit....typical for ALL Cheatham County schools. I think they may be pretty good in a couple of years with all the young kids they have playing. Sycamore has a lot of sophomores playing too and that #25 is a player for them on both sides of the ball. The score very easily could have been a lot worse as Cheatham only had 1 threat at scoring and then their youth showed with an unsportsmanlike penalty followed by 2 more 5 yard penalties to kill their drive late in the 4th period. Neither team is great and their records indicate it at 1-3, but I think Cheatham will not win more than 1 maybe 2 games. I predicted Sycamore would be around 500...which is still a reality. Going to be tough for either team to make the playoffs, but... SYCAMORE OWNS CHEATHAM. Nuff said.
  6. [Macon is awful.....they will be lucky to win a game this year! How can you say Macon Co is awful when your team is 0-3 as well and the scores have been .... awful!!! Have you seen Macon Co play? Didnt think so. I havent either. I know they are 0-3 just like Cheatham and Sycamore. Maybe all 3 are awful. Maybe you are awful.
  7. Looking forward to this game. Hopefully be there as I will be on leave finally. Sounds like 2 teams under-acheiving. I know both are young tho.
  8. Sounds as if both Sycamore and Greenbrier are struggling this year. I havent been able to make a game yet and probably wont till next week, but hope things get turned around in Pleasant View this friday night.
  9. I could be wrong, but I thought the NE game was at Sycamore...
  10. Looks pretty good, especially 1-6. Haven't seen Westview in years and Lewis Co lost a good bit last year I've heard but most always seem to reload anyways. I noticed that Jackson Central-Merry is the only 3A team in their region (14AA). What do they have to do to get into the playoffs? This new format confuses me some still....
  11. I agree, especially in basketball!!!! Phil Carr is a dang good coach, but has been known a little in the past for recruiting. And "initial" contact is huge too! I know you aren't supposed to recruit, but open enrollment sure does make it much easier to hide if you do...and probably more tempting...
  12. What class would he have been this upcoming year? Jr? Sr? Hate to hear any kid quitting football, but then again football isnt for everybody. ..
  13. The opening of Sycamore High School is the cause for the big drop in Cheatham's classification. The north end (Pleasant View) is the area of the most growth of the county and feeds Sycamore. I wonder how open enrollment will affect the schools??? Cheatham and Harpeth students can't enroll at Sycamore, but Sycamore can enroll at Cheatham or Harpeth due to growth in the north end. Basically students can attend any school in the county, other than Sycamore...which will only allow for students within their zone...suppossedly. The county is doing this to try to avoid the inevitable of building a new Sycamore High. If they had built a high school instead of a jr high school back in the day, they wouldnt be having this battle just yet, but that's another forum. Will Finley and/or Loope and their coaches recruit in some way a little??? Cant blame them at all if they do! I think open enrollment shouldnt affect any team right now due to the short time frame, but possibly could in the future??? In a county with pretty good coaches and average to less than average talent, 1 really good athlete/player can make a huge difference. I think this will be a very competitive region. Mainly between Cheatham, Creekwood, Harpeth, and Waverly for places 2-5. Barring a massive plague, Creekwood is a lock to get to the playoffs in 4a. I think Camden and Cheatham will make the playoffs in 3a.
  14. He has been at Cheatham longer than 7 years including his time as an assistant coach. I didnt think Cheatham went to the playoffs last year???? You just told a lie.... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Joey was 1-2 vs Page in his day...
  15. Both have been there 6 of the last 10 years with Sycamore winning and advancing more in the playoffs. Sycamore leads the series with Cheatham 5-3. In Sycamore's short 10 year history, they have won more playoff games than Cheatham EVER has. Good night and I'm done.
  16. Nope! I had absolutely nothing to do with it!
  17. Admit you deleted it! Your not man enough though. I promise I didnt delete it.
  18. HA! You didnt even play all the teams in your county!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has Cheatham ever been to the quarterfinals? NOPE! Playoffs is where it matters! Joey Jackson for DA of the Decade!
  19. YOU deleted the post!!!! Not me!!! Doesnt bother me at all. I think its funny! Ok, here's some useful info for you: Cheatham plays in a WEAK REGION!
  20. Ummm last year counts too. So I guess that means Page owns Cheatham too??? Harpeth???
  21. What previous post you talking about? The one you deleted admitting you are gay??? I thought so. No I'm not interested. I'm straight. Nice signature! Maybe I should add somthing like 2001, 02, 04, 06, 07 County Champs. Oh yeah, that trumps the 3 claimed county champs by you. I'm sure you'll be offended by that. I could add all the years Sycamore has been to the playoffs which equals 60% of the time in Sycamore's history. Not great, but is better than Cheatham's historical percentage.
  22. Nice.... I haven't been called a "she" since like the 3rd grade! Come up with something better Joey. Bulldog was right, Page did own you (Sycamore) when you played...
  23. Page did own Sycamore then. I already knew that. Has nothing to do with me though. Jackie Bennett did a good job! Page owned a lot of people then. Series record is like Page 3-1 maybe...I'm guessing though. Ummm, that means Joey Jackson was owned by Page then too. Page hasnt done as well since around 2004 (did well this year) or so after the creation of other Williamson schools that took kids from them. Not a knock on them, but the truth. They did play some rough teams out of region then too like Ravenwood, Indy, and White House if I remember right.... Josh Garza was a great quarterback, competitor, and friend and foe. He was also a 4-year starter in college. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> He had many concussions, but his worst concussion came from Greenbrier! Twice!
  24. None of those of those guys are my superiors! A high school football coach is nobody's "superior." Got it???? Good boy. I have 1 superior and He aint a football coach. I can talk about whomever whenever I want. Got it???? Good boy. Cheatham beat Sycamore last year, but that does not make them the best team in the county. Got it? Good boy. Cheatham play and beat Harpeth last year??? Nope. Therefore Cheatham cant be the best. Got it? Good boy. ALL coaches at some point in their careers look "dumbfounded and lost". Got it???? Good boy. Bobby Bowden looks dumbfounded and lost all the time... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> And I'll see you before 9/11....
  25. You love to twist stories dont you! I said Cheatham coaches were "lost and dumbfounded" against Greenbrier. Look it up. That doesnt mean they are lost and dumbfounded people or coaches. Never said SHS owns Cheatham. I simply stated that they lead the all-time series 5-3. Take that however you may. Never said Sycamore woud beat or lose to any certain team either. Look it up. I just own YOU boy! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> So what's your predictions for both SHS and CCCHS hotshot?
