Blue I don't think that Turf meant that #14 wasn't the best. He just meant that they play as a unit and none of them take all the credit. Which is what a team is all about. #14 wood can lay em down. Proud to see him each game go farther and farther with it -

turf - You make a good point. Glad our 71 is fine. He is a Big dude. Hate to be standing across from him waiting for a "nail". That DEFENSE made for some shaked players friday night. You guys practice your hearts out and show them what the underdog can do. You guys play as a team and will win as a team. We are proud of you! You are an unselfish player turf and I am proud of you and all those guys that have stuck together. Seems again, like you aren't suppose to win this one. So, really no pressure. Just like last week. Just take it in stride. Play your best and remember we are all behind you in BDP land. Get on the field and tell them all- "Say hello to my little friend" DEFENSE

Dandy after reading the posts on this thread, it is obvious that some of the folks watching the game last week fail to see that our DEFENSE has been getting better and better- Our DEFENSE played the best game it has played this season. Those boys will be ready. As for ND being undefeated... well, let me say- I have seen many a game where the UNDERDOG WON and thumped out the undefeated. Maybe it is all wishful thinking on everyones part that we lose. I remember hearing lots of folks saying that the underdog last Friday night was going to lose. We weren't expected to win. No pressure on us. Well, we might as well had not showed up and said forget it. But that isn't BDP- No matter what the end senerio- Our Boys will go out there and play the best game they can. I really wouldn't count them out. Greenbrier fans- It is sad to lose. But- I remember riding the bus to Melrose last year and seeing your busses passing by and every one on our bus was saying and chatting that we hoped you all took it to the end. When we were on our way home we even tried to find out if you guys won! In hopes of supporting you- I remember Portland going that way many years ago and we said, "Well, if it can't be us, then I am glad it is them!" I heard that many times. What most WH fans feel is that we all represent this region and area. We are happy for the neighbor that can take it to the next level. Even if we got beat or they beat us- we still supported our area teams.

Yep! Those guys will be practicing again this week. One game at a time... one step at a time to the final goal- Racial slurs directed to our Ricky is just uncalled for on any field! It makes me furious- His mom was sitting down on the first section and I sure hope she didn't have to sit and listen to any of that kind of talk. This kid... well- Can't say enough good things about Ricky. He is very deserving and his team mates know that! Did you read my other post? Directed towards you and my not replying - computer problems ... ugh

Titans you still out there? Sorry didn't get back to you. I didn't see your post about meeting until a minute ago. Computer problems. Down and couldn't get on here. Amazing what being away from reading the threads can do to you- you miss so much if you are off here a couple of days. It is all in fun- right? I don't think I could have found you Titans if I wanted to. I looked down at both end zones and saw folks lined up from one end to the other. I was stuck in the stands like a sardine-I couldn't have gotten out to go anywhere if I tried. That place was packed. Congratulations to our Blue Devils As for my new found "plant friends" from GB ... sports-EZ- Cat- I would have said the same to you guys if you all had won- Both of the teams played hard and they were excellent football teams- That is the kind of ballgame everyone wants to go and see on a Friday night. I am just glad that I was there to see it. Somebody was going to win and somebody was going to go home with a loss- Both sides played good ball and didn't get out there "trash talkin" the other side. It was a clean and fun game. Hard fought but a great one! To our seniors... you get one more week! Proud for you- Another show of class- on both sides. Hand shakes from our players to theirs. Then, I saw our WH#10 walk over to GB's#2, who was laying on the ground upset with the loss. I am assuming this was what he was doing. I saw the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago with #29- He was laying on the field upset. Our # 10 helped the kid up off the ground, pat his helmet and hugged him. Would love to know what those boys said to each other. This is the same #10 that knocked him during the game. I just happened to be coming down from the stands and just waiting my turn from the top and saw this. I am sure there were others doing the same thing. I just happen to witness this with my own eyes. If any of you WH fans want to bicker and talk trash... think about that for just a minute. It is hurtful when these kids lose- Not to the fans. But to the players who give their all. If they didn't hurt, then the game doesn't mean anything to them. Who cares about a streak- who cares about it? Think I also saw a show of compassion and hugs of joy from the WH Coaches to thier players last night. Quiet frankly, WH staff, I haven't seen that on the field after a game all season. Good for you Now, on to next week...

But, don't tell TSSAA-LOL I shall be bringing my Blood Pressure Medication and heart rate monitor- I'll be so easy to spot, as I sit down periodically and check vitals... I will be planted in my seat the whole night taking in the atmosphere-

I just couldn't see Ricky back talkin- It just isn't him. He is a good kid. You're right about the BDP thing- As for the Ryan Mash QB thing.. (thanks for not going off on me.) I agree the current kid couldn't help what happened to him. But I have to admire the Mash kid. He goes out there before every game and warms up passing with him. I even see him at times trying to help the other kids technique. And yes, what good is being a WR if you can't catch the thing! Even the CSS folks mentioned it. So many folks sit in the stands and talk about what "CLASS" Mash has doing that. I hope this kid knows that - We are proud of you Ladd and Mash- You set a fine example of what BDP and being a team player is all about I wish for God to cast many blessing for these kids...

Hey Greenbrier Cat2- Well, considering that I never had to get there as early as I am this game... LOL You know.. what I am saying. There will be folks from all over. The players and parents who are finished with there round 1 will want to be there. They will want to see our teams play again since they missed being there the first time. Will be great for Greenbrier. Also, it has always been dark and I just didn't notice at the time. I appreciate your help. I hear it is going to turn off cold again so bring on the hot chocolate. Thanks CAT your a real fine dude. ps/ like Mexican.. will it be open after the game? That is the problem, if we all eat later, everything closes-

jonboy, what was Ricky Ladds reply? I bet he didn't did he? The kid has class about him- I have to admit... it would be hard for me if I were out there not to yell back at that dude. But, as I said, Ricky has lots of class. He knows what he can do. I hope none of our WH fans ever do that to a Greenbrier kid. It is embarassing for the rest of us. Luckily, we don't hold that one persons actions against the rest of the crew. As for the QB statement. I agree. I thought Mash was the QB. He looked good all those scrimmages. I still say... what little bit I know about the subject, which isn't much... is that he wasn't done right! But... I will keep it clean and leave it at that-

Josh you know what I remember most about that game? When Hargrove came out and butted his way through- He was determined. I think we will see that again. Another thing I remember was the de-cleter "crack back block" from Mash. West? Well, WH is going to fortunate to have him back- He is a great kid- but also has that drive. We have lots of talent on this team. They have gotten better and better. Don't expect they will lay down and give it away. - I think we will see this type of playing and more this time around. I am still going with your score predition. Remember? It will be a great game. No doubt about it. When I mention a player with a specific style it doesn't mean I think the others can't do it. By no means. I love to watch Ricky. He is also entertaining and when I see him run that ball my heart races with excitement. Why, just wondering how far the kid will get will make you stand up and pay attention. But, I do agree we have many other players that are good at what they do. Max is another one that does his job and of course sometimes is un-noticed. With his position though, it is a matter if the player messes up as to when they get noticed. Know what I mean? So, Max is doing great! Josh, I asked a friend of mine about you. He said you were a good kid. I have respect for your prediction. I will exhale- then, inhale again and hope none of these guys get hurt. See you in Greenbrier. Oh, do you know of some good places to eat after the game. I am not familiar with the area.
