The Canes were a roughed-up a bit in the last game, but I think that the game was closer than the score showed. Take away a few busted coverages, and East is right in the game. I think Coach Smith will have his men ready for a big rivalry game, but i do not see a repeat of last year.

And from what has been shown on film this year, he is not half as good as he was a year ago. He seems indecisive and afraid to mess up stats.

That was last year, didn't East win two years ago; if we are taking a ride on a time machine. And wasn't that during East's homecoming? Watch out hornets, you are going to play a real football team tonight.

East has had some struggles early this season, but they have been against 4a and 5a teams. Carter may come out on fire, but as has been seen on film, if East holds strong for 2 quarters it will be a Cane victory. Carter is a one half team.

Garrettson is questionable for the game, but since it is homecoming he will probably play. Even if he does not play, East is more than up to the task of handling this one. The Canes have a few suprises in store, and I stick to my earlier prediction; no matter what the knoxville journal thinks.

After seeing some film on the hornets I think there are quite a bit of weaknesses in an overated team. First off, they have awful special teams, especially kick-off. They have given up a big kickoff return in every game; the pigeon forge one almost cost Carter the game. Another weakness seems to be in line play. Even in the blowout against a bad cocke county team, the line seemed to give up too much penatration. East is a team that has good talent, a good staff, and they are playing at home on homecoming; Canes by two touchdowns. East- 24 Carter- 10
