so when does Riverdale play the real Smyrna...? i thought Smyrna was suppose to beat them or atleast keep it close!!!!

coach t is a joke....people try riding a teams nuts then they turn around and say something about that team....its high school football just let them play on friday nights..there is no need for yall to start problems....both teams are really good....smyrna congradulations...riverdale congradulations....but this is turning into a T.O. and McNabb story just alot of talk.....OK good for sonny gray he can throw a football to his big wide outs....we are proud of him all im sayin is if the so called "SMALL" riverdale DB's get in Smyrna's stuff....then what you going to say....oh um.....Sonny was sick......he wasnt feeling good......its the same with Riverdale except i hear more talk coming from smyrna then i do riverdale...is it cause smyrna finally thinks they have a chance to win a tough region game for once....well...its not going to be a shut out...we know that....but its not going to be an ###### kicking either!!

i heard the game would be taking place at a different location instead of smyrna for two reason. 1.) because the crowd is going to be so huge that everyone won't fit in there stadium. 2.) i heard they were moving because of security and safety issues with all the problems that could go wrong at this game. I've heard MTSU and a couple other sites the game might take place at besides Smyrna...!!

well....this is possibly the biggest high school football game of the year in TN. So much hype has lead up to this game and there is a disgust between the two teams...Usually Riverdale uses it's Defense to seal the deal on Friday Nights.., but this week..i am seeing alot of scoring by both teams. Possibly the best offense..Smyrna...taking on the most diverse offense...Riverdale...There will be alot of big plays on the field for this game and it is going to be a great game..One thing i know for fact...is neither team will be shut out and have a goose egg on the board. Smyrna's offense is to good and they should put atleast 7 on the board. Riverdale's Wing-T will put atleast 7 on the board for two reasons: 1. Because Smyrna's Defense is not as good as Riverdale's and 2. They have a well balanced offense, many players who can carry the ball. I know the game is 2 weeks away basically and it's to early to be making picks..but if i were to go to one high school football game this year it would be this one....my pick would be Riverdale if the defense can get after Smyrna's offense and put pressure on SONNY BOY!!!

Siegel will win because Smyrna is going to be down on themselves about losing. Usually teams come back strong, but i see differently this game, score Siegel 21 - Smyrna 10....

i heard J. Mimms has been suspended and will not be allowed to play this week...if thats true blackman probably will barely even have positive yards....if any...

i think riverdale's problem this past friday against SHS STARS was exhaustion..the coaches have worked the team to much and not giving them the rest that rankin use to give....i think riverdale will comeback stronger in week 1 but this will be a great game.....i think if riverdale comes out with the right mind set and well rested.....they could play like the old riverdale and put up a blowout....if they do not get the right mind set or enough rest....we will see a repeat as the stars game....Riverdale should win no matter what....for riverdale...do not give up yet!!!! you are still undeafeated....

the only way Goree will win if he gets alot more aggressive and turns into an actual BEAST! alot of hype on him as well! # 1 CORVIN! has a chance from SHS i think. he will be a great star for the STARS. they will be riverdale friday if corvin does well!!

my prediction would be Ben Atakpu!! Solid Defensive player and is turning into a heck of an offensive player!!

ok...well he is not gaston miller..but trust me...compare the two in the weight room there senior year in HIGh SCHOOL McClain will be stronger..Gaston has him in speed and field awareness....McClain could do big things for riverdale, but he will need to improve more to be a gaston miller!!

from what i heard this wasn't really a scrimmage, just more of a really organized practice. riverdale scored more than brentwood, but brentwood made a few big plays. Riverdale has been struck by injury and may lose a couple starters for week zero action. Atakpu is back and will play in week zero action.

who will have the best game in week zero? which game would be the most intresting to watch? my guess would be lavergne and smyrna since both teams have alot to live up to this year about being best in the state! this should be intresting, winner is one step closer to riverdale loser one step away from riverdale. thats my pick for the most intresting game of the week. how about yalls?

has the heat outside been a problem for any schools? any injuries caused by heat at your school? i was informed that a young man in Atlanta, Georiga died because of the extreme heat!

Riverdale has a team loaded with plenty of Juniors with really great potential. A few of those names are: Ladarius Verge (possibly the best), Julius Worthington, Paul Boykin, Mike Brooks, Labryan Lawrence, Jeremy McClain, Josh Vanhoose, Trent Gander, Chase Patterson, and maybe one or two more but those are the big name ones for the 2006 season. L. Verge is starting DT and 2nd String O-Lineman. J. Worthington is possibly the most talented kid on the field and a really great wide out, from what i hear his attitude stinks though. P. Boykin starts Line Backer and is an offensive athlete, Running the ball, Catching the ball and throwing the ball. M. Brook and L. Lawrence both need to focus hard because they will hold down the secondary there senior year in 2007 season. Jeremy McClain maybe the next Mr. Football? Josh Vanhoose a heavy hitter, when he is focused plays better than everyone on the field. Trent Gander is just a weapon...very strong kid. and Chase Patterson, even though he is not currently starting and there is another Junior in front of him, i feel he has a good chance to be the starter for some of this year and most of his senior year.

from my school...Michael Rankins had up and downs points and the same with Zeke Anderson...but now i think they are better than ever and it will be intresting with these 2 guys playing against RIVERDALE this year... SHS STARS

you will see chad hunter out on the field.....promise!! he has to much invested into football, we know he is one heck of a baseball player, but chad has been there since freshman year playing football so he wont just give it up his Senior year...he will finish strong...the kid has to much heart to do that..
