  1. SO whats the word on Montgomery Central? I aint heard much news out of them. Any details? How they looking? I heard they had lost some key people. If they did ,Who was it? and why?
  2. Stewart County is big and strong but didn't put up much of an offensive struggle against Montgomery Central. Like I said above though..MC had a swagger, a attitude to play football. I belive that day they would have looked good against anyone. Stewart County will be ok this year. It's so early in the year..who really knows?
  3. In defense of Mongomery Central. 1A or 3A you still field 11 players at a time. Dont much matter how big or how small the school is. Agreed the talent pool should be bigger but its still 11 players. I still say MC will have a great year. 2 weeks practice with little to no conditioning work makes a big difference in anyones play. Attitude makes a huge differance. When MC scrimmaged Stewart County they had a swagger to them a take no prisioners attitude. They didn't walk on to Jo Byrns field with that same attitude. MC also made some 3 and out defense plays but with the nature of the scrimmage that dosn't matter. Not taking anything away from Jo Byrnes. The plays that Jo Byrns scored on were awsome plays. A couple great pass plays where MC defense got burned. They have the talent and it showed that day. A great bunch of players and very sportsmanlike.
  4. "jo byrns first team 3 scores mont cent first team 0 scores" That pretty much says it all. Reckon they didn't stay with the same game plan as they did with SC. 2nd team did score for MC, so thats a plus.......
  5. I think you nailed it pretty good Big Country. Montgomery Central lost some close games last year. Some that could have really went either way. With some minor coaching changes this year, the Indians will be much improved over last year. MC Indians scrimmaged Stewart County last weekend and looked very impressive. They played hard hitting smashmouth football. Like I said in another post, if they keep that game plan...there gonna win several more games this year.
  6. Montgomery Central @ Jo Byrns: Friday 12th.
  7. Stewart County @ Montgomery Central: May 8th MC Indians pretty much dominated the SC Rebels. They didn't really keep score, but the numbers I was told...Unofficial of course-in favor of MC. MC looked impressive. If they keep the same game plan for the future....should be an awsome year for the Indians. The Indians started off fired up and playing smashmouth football and stayed in that game plan all day. SC Rebels were big and strong. They should have a good year.
  8. At Montgomery Central 10:00am I think.
  9. Montgomery Central has a scrimmage against Stewart County 5-6-06
  10. Be paying attention to Montgomery Central offensive line this year. They just might sneak up and get ya!!!
  11. Looking for Pro's and Con's. Anyone had bad experiances? Are they worth the time. Does it help the kid get recruited?
  12. Has anyone ever used a Recruiting Web site to help get there kid recruited? What kind of issues did you have?
  13. Evan Harrison, William Rittenhouse- Montgomery Central
