Dustin Linsdey from Alcoa, Gulmire from Oak Ridge, Revell Coffey from Oak Ridge, and Fileger from Alcoare some i remember seeing.

i have no excuses for losing that game because they would fall on deaf ears. i will say though that night in the snow in front of the world for all we cared i became closer to all of my friends on that team. so as far as im concerned we were the better team and noone can ever convince me that we werent. honestly why do we have to bring family into this. cant we all talk like mature adults. i mean honestly buck sweep what and where did you play????? and gray dosent brainwash people he does believe in them. after i graduated he was the first person to check on me even when i was outta state in kentucky.... that responce was to central bobcat. in 2003 we had the better team than riverdale. i met some of their fans this year and they even said that they stole that game from us. but time heals all wounds. my protege josh whaley did a great job of holding down the line. so did trent, eli, t lane, and alex stewart... oh yea gray also developed those players..... i hate to break it to you but connor was gonna be the qb this past year no matter who the coach was. if you think diferently you are just plaid dumb...... revell was a great ball player but he was a better reciever...nough said.... TC

i know that i started the idea of gray's stats but let me ask all of yall one question? have you ever went to him as your coach??? i played under him for 3 years. he turned me into an all state player. he interacts with the team very well. after all there is more to being a coach than records and points. how about thee kids. the bearden players respect and want gray as their head coach. the name of the post is what makes ron gray such a great coach??? ill tell you what,,,, his heart and love for the game, the players, and he loves coaching. if he is not a good coach then why is his name all over this website???? why cant you haters just shut up. when you talk trash about him your feeding the fire and thats a reason hes a great coach. hes not afraid to stand up and be heard, so go ahead tell me that the teams he coached against were weak, then that will make the whole oak ridge program look weak, and we all know that aint true....... the tradition at oak ridge is that the banquet is mostly for the seniors and their families. it is sorta of a final goodbye and thank you from the program. i mean the team it self is on the highest pedstal for the year they had but this is the seniors last dealing ever with ORHS footbal so it is their night. they had to wait their turn, just like others before them waited thier turns..... bhs man you are the reason that coaches like coach gray coach. if all players were like you bearden would never worry about being less than perfect. you are sticking up for your team and the people who you know will make you better. by no means am i bashing the previous staff, but im giving my opinion about coach gray. now im not saying that mr CDA has no reasons to be upset or not but instead of complaing try naming another coach to talk about. but until then coach gray good luck and bearden i wish y'all the success that comes to you. what makes coach gray a great coach? look at the oak ridge record books. most of the offensive records fall under his offensive schemes. he makes the players believe in themselves which makes them better players and people. he not only coaches the game of football but he helps in every aspect of life. even after i graduated he called and asked how he could help my family when my grandmother passed away. he stands behind his players and he supports his team. so answer my question why does he not deserve this job???? oh yea coach gray is a good teacher also. just thought someone had to speak up that he can teach also.....

what happened or did not happen to end the banquet?

i hate to tell yall but until stevens became the coach at oak ridge, we didnt get that much coverage from the news sentinel. and i know that some schools dont get the respect and coverage that they deserve but i do believe that everyone on that list does deserve the awards they were presented..... as a former player of ron gray he deserves this job he has been offered head coaching jobs but didnt take them so he could continue to work at Oak Ridge. so good luck coach.. TC 54

has anyone heard about the knoxville news sentinel prep xtra football teams. they are plenty of capiable people in the knoxville area to make a great team this year.

rapidfan i think you have never watched a football game at oak ridge til this year. this team has players playing in the same positions since i graduated in 04.... i mean the olibnce except stewart and lane is the ones that backed me up and manning even started some that year. it was know through or that conner was the next starting QB after scott. this team is a great team. there coaches are great, this is the complete package. the guys from bearden said it best abouit coach gray he makes you believe in your self. he took me just a normal kid and turned me into an all state olinemen. i hope he does get a head coaching job, cause he will see one familar face in the crowd. cats good luck and i hope that you bring it home..........one more time roll cats roll... What separates Gulmire and Summers from everyone else is simple: heart and leadership. If you had to have one yard late in the game, these two guys get the nod. There equally humble nature means that when either actually speaks, their teammates take notice. Which one would I take? I couldn't make that call. Would rather have both and make Shawn an option quarterback (check the stats from 1990 Anderson County game) with Spencer toting the rock. You would also have two great linebackers for defense. Finally, Shawn and Spencer both care about nothing more than winning. Not stats, awards or all the other hype, just the wins. That's why they play(ed) the game the way it should be (unlike Brandon Warren - for you OR nole)! I COULDNT SAY IT BETTER BLOCKING FOR SPENCER FOR 2 YEARS WAS AN HONOR. GOOD LUCK SPENCER AND HE GETS MY VOTE FOR BEST OAK RIDGE RUNNING BACK......

Spencer gulmire for back and i think that Josh Whaley is a diamond in the rough for a lineman. he has the size and the talent he just needs to be pushed. the linebacker for tennessee can be either Nick R. from farragut or the linebacker from riverdale.....

the real deal here is that miller's career is done in high school while both Spencer and TC Jennings get to play on saturday. so good luck to you both and let the games begin......

the only thing that the a stands for is how many people are in your school. it dosent tell you how good your team is... remember when Anderson Co. and Oak Ridge had the 2 years series. they were 3A and they played us tough. i started the game we lost and that was one of my toughest games i ever played.
