  1. I honestly do not think this one will be close. Central's offense did not play a snap on Maryville's side of the fifty. Maryville will take of the football on offense and the defense will shut the Bobcat offense down. Both teams are very good and have had great years but Maryville is just too disciplined and will be ready to shut Central down. Maryville 28 Central 10
  2. I certainly do not want to start any gossip or make any false accusations. I am in the high school football world and any time the topic of coaches leaving, retiring, or being forced out, Pigeon Forge is mentioned. No one says whether or not the coach is going somewhere else or if he is just retiring so I thought I would ask on here to see if someone knew the truth. I am not a gossiper or an accusser...just a nosy football guy that wants to know the skinny on area situations. No disrespect intended. I was also wanting to know about who the Tigers lose to graduation and who they have returning. I do not have any personal reasons for wanting to know this info I assure you. I do not want to work ar PF because that would be a vercy long drive to and from work everyday, I cannot afford to buy a house in Dolly Country, and everytime I go to Pigeon Forge I get a bad case of road rage because of all the tourist. I am just nosy.
  3. I guess they are not very supportive on coacht. Not one reply from a Tiger faithful. Are their any Tiger faithfuls?
  4. Does anyon know what is in store fot the Tigers in the offseason. I have heard that they may have a coaching change, any truth to this? If so, who are the front runners for the job, any names been mentioned yet. Will the new coach ( if there is one) be able to bring in his own assistants or will he have to use the ones already there (no disrespect to the PF coaches, just a question). How many quality seniors does PF lose and how many starters or good contributors are returning?
  5. FBEMeritus, Let me begin by saying that I have a lot of respect for the Maryville team and coaching staff. They seem to play and coach with a lot of class. Thank you for the prayers and concern for SD losing a soldier, it is a loss for everyone in America. To answer your question about the youth of South-Doyle's football team. Last week SD started two seniors on defense (one end and one linebacker) and two other seniors played (linebacker and corner). On offense, four seniors started ( two linemen, tailback and wide receiver). I heard that one of those lineman lost his starting job this week to a sophomore but i do not know if that is true. The senior tailback (Stephenson) is of course a huge loss because he is very good no matter what others may say on this site. SD is young but remember, they have a long long way to go before they can compete with the best in this region. Maryville will not blow SD out for one of two reasons. SD best game last year was against DB who was ranked 2nd in tha state at the time. SD played them better than anyone else played them except for of course OR who beat them in the playoffs. Secondly, GQ is a classy guy and he will not run the score up on anyone.
  6. Sounds to me like the parents just need to be thankful that their son has the ability to play football and the desire to be a part of the greatest experience in the world...high school football.
  7. I was just wondering how things were going up there in Pigeon Forge? How is the offense and defense doing? Are the kids playing hard and are the coaches coaching hard?
