  1. anyone know the outcome of the elizabethton game?
  2. what are the dates for the state tournament?
  3. Lady Cyclones should have their way with Johnson County tomorrow; however, it is quite obvious that the Lady Longhorns have improved tremendously. Hopefully the Cyclones will play good...they won't be at school...it's "job shadowing" day. Kind of hard to believe that after tomorrow, only 2 more home games left...that is, until sub-state (ps...krich I relayed your congratulations to Eden about both homecoming and dancing...her response: "Be sure and tell him thanks. People always ask me why and how I do so much, but I always just tell them that when you have a passion for something you have to do it, no matter what. For me, that includes a lot of things, but I couldn't see my life without any of them." ....at least that's pretty close). I also heard that Cameron had a little shoulder accident during practice today and had to leave early for therapy....? Can anyone verify that? I hope it's nothing serious...would hate to see that!! That's why I love girl's basketball, especially in this county. They're all so talented and have great attitudes. Good luck to all the teams this week, and especially my beloved Lady Cyclones!
  4. "But at no level can a particular School be represented by more than one player. " Wait a second, on your second team, Marti and Mariah are both from EHS...?
  5. Krich, I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad that it sounds like your granddaughter has a pretty good head on her already being a big Lady Cyclone fan you must be doing something right!
  6. Shew, Eden's list of activities was a mile long...such a wonderful, accomplished young lady. I hear she's dancing on Tuesday night during the boys' game. It was obvious she was the crowd's choice. AND Kelli Culler also won princess. Congratualtions girls! Krich, who's your granddaughter? Was that the same West Greene team that beat Unicoi? Or was it just a different Lady Cyclone team that beat West Greene...hm...I see Tuesday as being the game of the week next week. But I think the Lady Cyclones can take it to 'em if they keep up their defense! GO CYCLONES!
  7. It's about time. The boys won tonight at Chuckey Doak, following the girl's win. It definitely wasn't pretty, and there were some ups and downs in the officiating, but they came out on top. Charles got to play for the first time this season...and quite significant minutes considering the circumstances. Hm..his first game back and they win...any connections?
  8. The boys have have had so many close games this year...just ended up losing them...(South Greene, Happy Valley, gave Unicoi a struggle at first). They do play hard, and when they play smart, they aren't that bad. I agree they tend to have some selfishness at times on the court- get past that, they might step up come tourney time. Coach Wilson isn't all to blame, considering his past frew years with the girls. I hear a rumor that Charles Peters will get to dress/play this Friday...anyone know if that's true?
  9. The Lady Cyclones got their second conference win last night over Chuckey Doak. The Black Knights came out ready to play and led by 2 at halftime...but the Lady Cyclones' 20-0 run (or something close to that) in the third quarter and Christy Jenkins fouling out trampled the Knights and it was never close after that. Great win for the Cyclones! Everyone played and contributed. Conference win #2...getting ready for West Greene next week. Great Job ladies!
  10. Happy Valley and Elizabethton met each other a few weeks ago at Chuckey Doak for the Jamboree. They played a half, and after one quarter it looked as though the lady Cyclones would pull away with a W quite nicely. However in the second quarter the Warriors had different plans. They never stop fighting and ended up winning at the jamboree. But that's only a jamboree... Tomorrow the Lady Cyclones should have some deep revenge built up in them. Come prepared for a battle!
