  1. 11AAA is at ravenwood... the regions between 11AAA and 12AAA are at hunters lane
  2. ya its ok, don't give ravenwood any credit for giving them a good game... ravenwood threw a variety of defenses at them, which threw off franklin's rythmn. i saw as many as four different defenses not counting the end of the game where they tried to get steals. rhs was kinda sloppy on offense so that is probably the reason why they couldn't pull out the upset. it would be interesting to see if these two teams meet up again in the district or even possibly region tourney
  3. hillwood just beat overton, this is a rebuilding year for indy, they just won't except it... by the way, when is baugh getting back?
  4. ravenwood is more worried about hillsboro right now... if they win this game, this puts them 2 games ahead of hillsboro and a game ahead of centennial... and as for ravenwood thinking they can beat franklin this time... it's why we play the game... franklin has been exposed these last few district games, and they aren't wiping the floor with teams like they were at the beginning of the season. It's up to whitlock and his boys to see if they can expose them enough to pull it out. I don't think it will be as lopsided as it was last time they played.
  5. i say franklin wins this one comfortably, but the second game is the game that they could drop franktown... but being a ravenwood fan, we need centennial to pull out an upset tomorrow night
  6. ravenwood over hillwood BIG centennial over brentwood BIG Independence over overton BIG franklin and hillsboro? anbody? i haven't heard about this one yet ravenwood played well after that emotional loss on friday to centennial, and staying with centennial, they are playing well right now, i think independence is improving to and could be a surprise in the district tourney, i wouldn't want to play them in the first round.
  7. heard morris is probable, may have suffered a concussion on a "shooting" foul against independence... i think he is gonna play, would be interesting to see these two teams play against eachother without their "stars"
  8. Ravenwood will win, i'll bet my first kid on it... maybe my first girl
  9. i see brentwood coming out too hyped up and losing it big like ravenwood did, same scenario, team from the same city playing, its not looking good... anybody see the cheap shot morris took from independence on tuesday? i did and i almost did something i probably can't say on hear to the guy who didn't call it intentional after calling a technical on rhs earlier in the game. morris left the game for about 5 minutes, but came back bandaged up on brow and played well to finish up but is probable to play friday cause he may hvae gotten a small concussion... other than that, it was a great game of two teams going at it. ravenwood shot a game high season record 35 free throws! the reason the score was close was because they only converted 20 of them... if they want a shot at taking district they have to become aces from the line, especially if they can get there that many times
  10. thought you may have been not so harsh to me since my leave of absence, how'd ya'll do in your winter tourney? lol
  11. no lol, at the rate centennial is going, they won't make it to second place... and it's too early to tell anything in the season yet
  12. did franklin only get to play 2 games? and it looks like centennial is back to where they were supposed to be after struggling at the end of the first half of the season
  13. creekside whooped up on hixson, athletcism proved too much and raptors lose to northest by 12... was back and forth the whole game only reason the score was that far apart was due to perfect free throw shooting in the end by northeast when the raptors had to foul... ravenwood proved they can compete with a very good northeast team and if they progress more they will be able to beat these type of teams during the seasons ends
  14. regardless of who wins the championship it should be a good game... two different styles of play go up against eachother, two great teams who are both well disciplined, i'll be there
  15. creekside loses by 10 to northeast... ravenwood beats hixson by 1 after being up 16-2... buckhorn beats warren county by about 20... not sure about livingston acadaemy and harpeth... Championship game Northeast vs. Ravenwood Third Place game Creekside vs. Hixson
  16. to count what the tourney looks like right now centennial wouldn't even make it to region, but i'll bet that they make some changes and put it together... by the time region comes along i bet it looks like this District 12 antioch mcgavock maplewood hunters lane District 11 franklin ravenwood hillsboro centennial
  17. These are based strictly on district records... 1. Franklin (4-0) 2. Ravenwood (3-1) 3. Hillsboro (2-2), Brentwood (2-2), Centennial (2-2) 6. Independence (1-3) 7. Overton (1-3) 8. Hillwood (0-4) Anyone want to evaluate what has happened so far? Any surprises? And what is everyone doing for winter tournaments?
  18. one man team or not, they are playing terrible... they need to fix the kinks if they want to get back to what some said was "their" year. And maybe tnscout was right about brentwood haha
  19. i didn't realize mcgavock lost to whites creek... thats what happens when you don't come to play everyday
  20. The reason chs lost is cause they couldn't D up, they put up decent numbers offensively, but they gave up 76 to an inconsistent burro team, but hey i'm probably wrong, from what i see in here every guy that is posting seem to dislike me in one form or fashion... rebels by about 10ish
  21. are you taking into account the fact that the seniors for the rhs team played under coach thweatt for hillsboro just a couple years ago, and they seem to be on their game for that, they beat them during the summer as well if that means anything, and the juniors have some experience with him as well. 8 times out of 10 maybe be a little drastic, i'm not pulling for rhs, i'm just mentioning the x factors. this season and the past two rhs is 4-1 against them so they are starting to get the best of them. but lets not talk about matchups in the 2008 portion of the season, friday nights thoughts anyone? Really interested in the burro-rebel game, overton-indy should be a great fight as well, especially after botht eams got thumped on tuesday
  22. hmmm, this is getting out of hand, lets all be adults and take it to the district 11-AAA forum
  23. i'm as shocked as you are chs... anyways here is how the district fared tonight... Hillsboro 76 - Centennial 57 Ravenwood 63- Overton 48 Franklin 73 - Independence 43 Brentwood 66 - Hillwood 45 No close games tonight huh? the hillsboro game shocked me, and i thought the overton ravenwood game was gonna be closer, everything else i expected though, here are the matchups going into friday night to end the district race for the first half of the basketball season. Ravenwood (8-2) @ Hillwood (3-6) Hillsboro (5-3) @ Franklin (10-2) Centennial (10-2) @ Brentwood (3-6) Overton (4-4) @ Independence (4-6) i may be off on the records a little bit but o well my bad, the tennessean isn't the most reliable resource. first game i say ravenwood takes is +15 Next game i say franklin by 10-15 Centennial by +20 i think they are mature enough to step up and put it on brentwood, this game will prove to see if they are for real finally i say indy by less than 5, robinson should be gettin more minutes
  24. if you care to know philly i am a big memphis high school fan /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  25. hillsboro talent = there... team unity = not so much, those kids could go far but they have a problem argueing with eachother on the court, if they could get their heads straight watch out, but as of right now i'll have to pick chs by 8
