didn't mean to leave those out pujo, i kinda consider lunceford a star now and he doesn't play JV, so thats why i didn't mention him. Roop i have some very serious doubts about. I can name 2-3 other player that was his size and really just mounted to be a gap filler. Roop needs to be tougher, and he is running out of time. It is a shame that he hasn't had football mentality to match football size.

Hampton's JV put up some tremendous numbers this year, losing only one game and that was to.......you guessed it...Johnson County. Other than that, they embarassed most other teams. Future stars.....Jared Irick, Dustin Jaynes, Dustin Milhorn, Jonathon Lyons. They all have a great deal of Varsity time already with the year Hampton is having, and most likely will not skip a beat next year.

Hampton gave up a measly 65 points in regular season in the late 80's. Sounds pretty decent, right. 21 of those came in the first game against Johnson County, so that's 44 points in 9 games. Sounds even better, right. First game in playoffs, Gatlinburg-Pittman throws up 34.(oh yeah, we lost) But our defense was pretty good i'd say. Not many teams can boast those type #'s, except for the 34 in playoffs.

Personally, i played against Coach Orr's teams and a friend of mine, Randy Birchfield played for him and was probably the most respectful team we ever played. Don't remember ever having any harsh words with other players during scrimmages and games. The field is named justly for that, and it is a shame that Lunceford can't have somehting like a seating section named for him up there.

KING, your a riot........to bad you wasn't as good a football player as you are a trash talker, and that is all it is.. My predictions go as follows ( keep up with me KING if you can...I'll go slow..) Elizabethton erupts... 37-14 Unaka rides the moral victory 40-6 Cloudland struggles again...27-8 Hampton ends all doubt 35-14....make that 34-14, potter is good for 1 missed PAT
