  1. In every sport there is risk to injury wrestling is no different. Today the way TSSAA refs make calls for potentially dangerous postions there is only a slim chance for a wrestler to get hurt in a match by an illegal belly to belly slam or by getting put into a potentially dangerous positions. Saying that I think most long term injuries occur in the rigors of hard practices while going live wrestling.
  2. Father Ryan is going to surprise a lot of people this year. The irish have four things going for them 1. Great Coaches-Pat Simpson, Stephen Shone, Jim Miller, and Steve Peden 2. They have a lot of young talent working hard in the wrestling room this year 3 They have the desire to win 4. Tradition. All of these things will prove to help the irish in the next few seasons.
  3. What about Pat Simpson over at Father Ryan? He runs a hard room and is extremely knowledgeable about the sport of Wrestling.
  4. What about Pat Simpson over at Father Ryan. In the late nineties he won 3 or 4 state championships and added one in 2004 he runs a tough wrestling room and is extremely knowledgeable in the sport of wrestling
  5. This is sure to get a lot of different responses but who is hands down the best wrestling coach in the state of TN? This can include their win/lose record, different coaching awards, or even maximizing the amount of talent they have to win.
  6. Who has the best Dual Meet Team in the state for divisions one and two or overall?
  7. Probably Jimmy Hiller (Father Ryan) vs. William Simpson (MBA). I think it was two years ago Hiller won in the final few swconds off a great takedown.
  8. I think Patrick is going 125 this year
  9. Another great freshman is Patrick Marchetti who wrestled for NCW last year. He took Justin Cash into overtime before he lost a very close match. Watch for him to place in state this year for Father Ryan.
  10. I went to camp with Jeff this summer he was very impressive. I also saw him wresle as an 8th grader last year and he did very well against some good freshmen and middle schoolers
