I know that across the state that 9 #1 ranked teams lost to a #4 seeded team this year Just curious if anyone knows what the most #1 seed losses were in a first round? 5A had 4 #1 losses "half the #1's? Is 5A that close??" 4A no Number one seed lost 3A had 2 #1 losses 2A had 2 #1 losses 1A had 1 #1 loss

I think it would probably help if some teams were not ranked on thier ability to outscore oppenents. I have seen several rankings that showed them outscoring their opponents 253-31 or something similar and you just know that their were a few close ones in that number and one or two blowouts along the way and when that is way of getting natinal recognition then there will always be someone that wants to be recognized for it. think those over 60 point spreds don't help alcoa out ?? They could win every game by only 6 and no one would talk about them so much. Camden wins nearly every game by more than 30 points but they do not push it more than that the coach throws in all the second and third string boys the rest of the game and usually does a lot of running the ball to keep it fun for everyone. Heck I even told my younger brother that his games were boring to watch cause they are usually up over 21 points by halftime and you know its game over. But to put a rule in and at the same time have a national ranking based on who can outscore their opponent the most.....that would make some coaches want to keep in a first string D just to make sure the other guy could not score and then run the O right up to that magic number.

oh sure we call it the practice field course you will have a long walk but that is where the news crews land when they come in.

I just thought that I would mention that thursday night had 18 undefeateds in the state and this morning has 15. 3 undefeated teams lost last night. 3 #1 seeds lost to a #4 seeded team. Goodpasture is an awesome team I have nothing but respect this is a football club any coach would love to have the oppurtunity to work withthem, but never overlook anyone LC could find their O and I know that Goodpasture's #1 boys did not get scored on so no one can really tell any of us what the CHINKS are in Goodpasture's armor because no one has been able to find and exploit it yet. Camden is not overlooking CPA and I know that for sure. you can bet coach is looking at not just last nights game reel but reels for the whole season to see what has worked against CPA if someone else tried the same things how it worked for them. I know that CPA coaches are doing the same. However when you look at the amount of depth Camden has with all these second stringers that have alot of game time and compare that to how much game time CPA second stringers have been able to have well .. I think Camden scores quick on CPA I think it is a hard fought war but the chances of CPA wearing down the Camden boys is slim I still say Camden is going to win by more than what many in here think. I could eat crow and I have before BTW FBGIRL would you like to congratulate Camden for making it to the second round? I know you were very adamant that we would not.

Thank You!! I was about to say the same thing and you beat me to it .. Let's stick to what the topic is folks Camden vs CPA I am going to pick Camden on this one. I am sure they (CPA) had some things up their sleeve that they didn't bring out, but I love when people say well our boys are gonna give 110% and they have been waiting for this all year. Ok really what team in this postion is not gonna give 110? What group of Ballplayers would say ok guys we are made this far, who cares about anything else at least we can say we got this far. NONE Every young man on that field would play through whatever pain for the glory of making to the next step. Now if that pain is causing him to underperform then shame on him for not admitting it and letting the next young man come in and experience a little of the glory that comes with playing in a state playoff game.

5-2a has only one really dominant team 6-2a has two Camden and Lewis I do not think that CPA is going to be anywhere near the competition that Lewis was for Camden I predicted a Camden Win 42-14 and I do not think CPA scores early I know it will be a good game "I will be at this one" but I have no doubt that Camden will prevail. Goodpasture VS Lewis Co will be a good one too but I think Lewis will have their hands full this time. Goodpasture rolled over Fairview I didn't see the game so I can not say what caused such a huge swing SO Lewis county better come with your game face on so we can see another 6-2a team go deeper than 2nd round Camden makes third round and plays Goodpasture at ?? have to check that one maybe Goodpature Cause they are undefeated vs Camden first game loss.. Short answer Pretty darn close baby

Well MAYBE you were just looking at the wrong year Camden Waverly game. Camden did not have first string playing offense in the second half. Waverly I am rooting for you against CPA I would love to see the upset. Play Hard Limit mistakes Control the ball and remember their is a bunch out there still rooting for you.

I have not seen both teams and we all know that rankings do not a winner make. That being said I have looked at the win loss, who lost and won against who. I have not seen DCA play and I am partial to Camden seeing as how my younger brother plays there so I voted for them but I am gonna say this one will not be the blowout that they have been used to having this season.

Doesn't really matter if it was a desperate throw or a perfect timing I need to wait on the reciever one ... more.... second.. He threw it .. the other guy caught it.. end of story Those are the kind of plays that make history. Never seen a basketball game where a guy throws it across the court in a "desperate attempt" and it goes in ?? never seen a hail mary play that worked?? Those "desperate" plays are the ones that make records.

If you are going strictly off of region games well then there are more teams then just alcoa who have won every game in the region. If you go by undefeated well the only two in 2a are gatlinburg-pittman, goodpasture, and I am gonna throw in milan because we all know what the scores were regardless of the technical win loss ratio. I believe alcoa has lost two games <I don't care to who>. Region defeats only, well there are alot more teams that have not lost a region game. So if you want to call alcoa number on be my guest but don't say it is because they have not been beaten.

I do have to agree with you on that note, however there were alot of people saying that Camden has more breakout speed and manuverablilty <is that a word?> than what Lewis co has. But hey the game is over it is what it is anyone can come in and say all the shoulda woulda coulda's but that does not change last nights final score. If they do meet again and it is a dry night then that can put all the it was so wet talk to rest but then you will have people who will come in and say well if so and so had done xyz then this would have been that and on and on so lets not get into all that. Camden GOOD GAME GUYS Lewis Co GOOD GAME GUYS that was a hard fought game the first that most of these boys actually had to play the whole game. I sure wish I could be there I promised anohter person at work I would work for her because that friday is the night her church is having their halloween and it is the only night she can go trick or treating with her kids. when she figured out it was the lewis co camden game she tried to tell me she would work so I wouldn't miss it but I told her to go. I can make the playoffs though I really do want to be there I would understand if it were the only night I could go with my kids.. MY BIASED OPINION I love my brother he plays hard ball all the Camden boys do and I know Lewis does too but lewis won last year cause Camden thought they were ready and weren't I guarantee they won't make that mistake this year. We want region and deep state this year.

Well with Camden second string having more playing time this year we can feed them in and out keep our guys fresh. Course Lewis Co. can too I think this is going to be a game of depth. Which team can last giving 110% all game long, and which team makes a mistake I think are going to be the major factors in this one going to be such a good game wish I could make it.
