  1. Good luck to the Lady Cats tomorrow night against Riverdale!!! Go out there and play hard, ladies! Good luck Lady Cats! Go get 'em!
  2. Good luck to the Lady Cats as they will make the long trip back to Franklin County tomorrow night to take on the Lady Eaglettes in the 8AAA consolation game!!! Good luck Lady Cats!! Go get 'em!!
  3. Good luck to the Wildcats as they make the long trip to Franklin County again tomorrow night to take on Coffee County in the 8AAA consolation game! Good luck guys!!! Go get 'em!!!
  4. Good luck to the Wildcats tonight as they make the long trip to Franklin County to take on the Lions!!! This group of guys has already shocked some people by making it this far, but I am sure more surprises will come from this group of talented young men. Good luck tonight guys!!! Go get 'em!
  5. The Wildcats lost last Thursday to Hickman County 51-42, but they came out and beat Lincoln County in first round of district tournament on Tuesday night. The Wildcats will now face Columbia tonight at Frankin County in the semis of 8AAA. Lawrence County is now guaranteed to play a first round region game, as well as tonight's game with Columbia, and either the Championship or Consolation game, depending on the outcome of tonight's contest. Good luck tonight, Wildcats!!! Go get 'em!
  6. Halftime score Columbia 26 - Lawrence County 21
  7. Good luck to the Lady Cats as they will make the long trip to Franklin County to take on the Lady Lions tonight! If some of the younger players step up as they did Tuesday night, Columbia will have some great talent to deal with tonight. These young ladies have what it takes to pull off what would be a HUGE upset if the game is played just right; it will take the right pace of game, substitutions, and game plan, but it can be done with the talent Law Co has available. Good luck Lady Cats! Go get 'em! Remember: The next game is always the most important game! A lot of people dont think yall have a chance, but always remember: 'The difference between the impossible and the possible lies within the Lady Cats' determination."
  8. The Wildcats should know by now that all-district awards are pointless, if you play for Lawrence County you are gonna get overlooked in the district. These guys have what it takes to show 8AAA that it doesnt take a team with "great" all-district players to win games. Hopefully they will come out with more determination than ever because winning this one game guarantees at least 3 more games for the Cats this season. Good luck Wildcats! Go get 'em!
  9. Tomorrow night is a HUGE game for the Wildcats as they take on the Lincoln County Falcons in a first round district tournament contest! Good luck to all the Wildcats! I am so proud of you all and know you can go out there and secure a spot in the region tournament! Good luck Jase, Josh, Jacob, Royse, Ben, Brady, Brody, and Matt! Good luck Wildcats! Go get 'em!
  10. I never said that Columbia wasn't good, I simply stated that there is no reason for an all-district team if half of the members are from one single team. This situation means that some team is going to be left out completely...I guess none of our guys helped to be fourth place in a fairly evenly-distributed district. After Columbia, the other teams pretty much split their contests in the season. And, yes, if we beat Lincoln County at home on Tuesday night, our guys will be heading to region regardless. Lawrence County fans are so proud of seniors Jase Duke and Josh Purcell for all their hard work and dedication to Wildcat basketball, as well as juniors Jacob Powell, Royse Maxwell, Ben Lowery, and sophomores Matt Roberson, Brady Hutton, and Brody Clanton! It's been a tough season, but it's tourney time now! Good luck Tuesday night, Wildcats!!!
  11. How does the 8AAA All-District team not include at least one player from Lawrence County? That is insane! The Wildcats have at least three players that are worthy of this honor. Every game at least two of the three has 15-20 points each. I don't see how one team in the district can have five players named to this team...Columbia is good, but they are NOT the only team in 8AAA. It seems like LawCo always gets overlooked when it comes down to all district team members. Last year as the number one team in the district, only one player was named to all district and he was the MVP. There is no sense in having an all district team if half of the players are going to be from a single team. It seems to me that players that work hard and contribute to their team night in and night out do not have a chance simply because they represent Lawrence County.
  12. Does anyone have the complete list of the 8AAA All District team?
  13. Tomorrow night's game against Hickman County brings the 2004-2005 regular season to an end for Lawrence County. Being the last home game, it will also be the night when Wildcat and Lady Cat seniors are honored for all the hard work they have put into making LC basketball great. The Wildcat cheerleaders have two seniors, Kim McCune and Courtney McCune. Both of these young ladies have brightened ballgames over their four years at LCHS. These girls are great cheerleaders, as well as displaying great attitudes and being wonderful young ladies. Good luck Kim and Courtney in all you do! Thanks for all the times you have kept the fans cheering!
  14. Tomorrow night's game against Hickman County brings the 2004-2005 regular season to an end for Lawrence County. Being the last home game, it will also be the night when Wildcat and Lady Cat seniors are honored for all the hard work they have put into making LC basketball great. The fairly young Lady Cats team has only one senior on the team this year, Rachel Meek. Despite a season ending ACL injury in January, Rachel has been an awesome part of Lady Cats basketball this entire season. Good luck with rehab on your knee, Rach! You are such a precious young lady. Also, good luck in both volleyball and basketball at Bryan College in the fall and in all you do! Good luck against Hickman County Thursday night and in the district tournaments next week! Go get 'em!
  15. Tomorrow night's game against Hickman County brings the 2004-2005 regular season to an end for Lawrence County. Being the last home game, it will also be the night when Wildcat and Lady Cat seniors are honored for all the hard work they have put into making LC basketball great. The Wildcats have two seniors on the team this season, Jase Duke and Josh Purcell. Both of these young men have been a pleasure to watch as they have grown up and improved in their four years at LCHS. This season has really shown Jase's and Josh's capabilities to step up and make things happen for their team. Jase has burned the net with the trey, and Josh's hustle keeps things going for the Wildcats. Jase and Josh have very bright futures ahead of them, as they are both great leaders as well as very intelligent young men. Thanks for all the memories you have given to Lawrence County fans, guys! Good luck against Hickman County Thursday night and in the district tournaments next week! Go get 'em!
  16. In my opinion, Lawrence County's Jase Duke deserves all-district honors as well.
  17. Congratulations to the Wildcats on their win against Loretto last night! That game looked a lot more like the Lawrence County team I know than the game at the Barn. Keep improving and use this upcoming non-district games week to prepare for tournaments! Good luck against Lewis County and Hickman County next week! Go get 'em!
  18. Lawrence County definitely has more than just a chance...if the guys come out ready to play, they will win this ballgame. Hopefully the illnesses that some players have been dealing with will be taken care of by Friday night. Rest up, Wildcats and give it 100%! thumb Go get 'em, LawCo Wildcats!!! Good luck guys!
  19. Golfinman23, in the game against Lewis County, Rachel Meek suffered an ACL injury. She had surgery on her knee last week. It was a season-ending injury, but Rachel is strong and she will be playing for Bryan College in both volleyball and basketball.
  20. Game Two of the tremendous county rivalry takes place at Lawrence County Friday night. You can bet our girls are gonna come out ready to play Lawrence County Lady Cats basketball and complete the sweep of Loretto this season. It will be a tough game, like most suspected the first round would go. This time around won't be as easy as in January at the Barn, but Lawrence County has what it takes to defeat the Lady Mustangs. Good luck Lawrence County!!! Beat those Mustangs!!!
  21. Good luck Wildcats...keep proving everyone wrong like you did last week! You guys have the potential to win games that 'you're not supposed to'. Good luck and go get 'em! Remember: The difference between the possible and the impossible lies in the Wildcat's determination!
  22. Congratulations Wildcats!!! I am sure you proved some people wrong tonight with the win over Shelbyville! We are proud of yall! Keep it up!
  23. Good luck tonight Wildcats! This is a huge district game and you guys have what it takes to come out with a win...just go out there and prove some people wrong. Go get 'em!!!
  24. Good luck tonight Lady Cats! This is a huge district game, and with the younger players stepping up like they have been...it's gonna be some great basketball. Ralph Benson Memorial Gymnasium holds the best atmosphere for high school basketball in 8AAA...the game, the fans - the atmosphere is awesome! Go get 'em, ladies!
