Monterey is not in it this year.

Monterey has started off the season good with wins over Livingston and Bledsoe. They play Gordonsville away tomorrow. Could be a good one.

Monterey shouldn't be #7. They almost beat Clay last week, but just had some bad breaks toward the end. I say 5

My prediction is that Clarkrange wins the district with RBS coming in a close second. I dont see Clarkrange losing a district game this year. Red Boiling will definately give them a run for their money but i dont think they can pull it off. Clarkrange may be a young team, with only one senior that I know of, but they are very strong with sophmores, Phillips and Snow, at post. Phillips has a great shot from just about anywhere and you cant hardly get around Snow. You cant forget about Lowe(sophomore), Green(senior) and Reed(freshman) with their outside shooting too. Once again, they also have the best coach in the district by far. Good luck to everyone in 7-A!

No doubt Pickett will be above all the other teams and will probably go undefeated in the district. Wright and Capps make a very tough combination, not to mention the rest of the talent on the team. I dont know about Jackson and Clarkrange being tied for 2nd though. Even without the loss of Chris, Jackson should still have the better all around team. Clarkrange should take a pretty easy third as long as they can hold strong for the first 11 games, which should be pretty easy as long as Upchurch and Duvall will step until then. Hermitage should definately not be ranked as 4th though. They still have a ways to go, even with the new coach. They will have tough games with Clay and Monterey. The way I look at it, is that it will be a throw up between Clay, Monterey, and Hermitage for 4th and RBS will be last. Who knows? Good luck everyone in the District. :justwrestle:

I dont know what coaches you are talking about that had magnificent careers for Monterey. Who do you think had such an awesome career? Hometown coaches can relate to their players better and know the town. When Monterey tried to bring someone from out-of-town, they were terrible. Heady does have the program moving in the right direction.

That is true. This is the year for Monterey to beat them. I dont think Trousdale has ever lost to Monterey have they? We'll see! Either way it should be a good game. Good luck to both teams

Is there any news of Trousdale's injured list. I know Satterfield is hurt and heard their quarterback is out too.

No news yet on Coggsdale, but even if he is out Monterey still has the transfer from Baxter, Nathaniel Lewis. They will be ok

Any predictions on this game? Monterey has been playing pretty good lately and seems like Trousdale hasn't been. This could be a good game if Monterey executes and doesnt play bad like they did against Jackson County.

Upperman isnt a bad team and Monterey isn't either though. I watched the Upperman/Monterey game and Monterey played a good game. They completely shut down Upperman's passing game except for a few short gains. It looked like Upperman just gave up when Monterey stopped them a few drives in a row then scored. Upperman should put up a good fight next week. Good luck to both teams next week.

I think Monterey has a good chance of competing with most teams in their region this year. It's obvious that Trousdale and Friendship Christian will have the upper hand as usual in single A. It should be a pretty good game between them and Gordonsville though. Whichever team comes out ready to play can take it....We'll see!!!!!!!Monterey actually has a three-way scrimmage with Coalfield and York Institute tomorrow.

With district tournies comin up next week, whats it lookin like with everybody? I think Monterey has the edge, with Clay in second, then Jackson and Pickett with close third. What are yalls opinions

Clarkrange is gonna be ready to play some ball after losing a tough game to Crossville on Saturday. With an easy district win coming up over Monterey on Tuesday night, they will have all their focus going toward beating RBS. Clarkrange by 10

Anyone who has played at Clarkrange knows how hard it is to win there so home-court advantage will play a factor in this game. It will be close thought. Still Clarkrange by 10

I got Clarkrange by 10 on this one as long as they will play to their potential. Clarkrange needs a big district win to put them back on track and this could be the one to do it.
