  1. Monterey by several. Don't really know a lot about Clay this year but Taft is never very good. Of course, Upperman isn't much either but they sure were excited about beating Picket county 61-0. Some win huh lol
  2. You are a Grade A Moron!! Get over yourself and quit tryin to find something to complain about. I'm assuming you got your socks beat off by the Lady Buffaloes at some time. Maybe you should experience the excitement of a state championship before you post something like this. Im guessing that has never happened for you though.....Anyway, off the soap box.... As for as them being the best CLARKRANGE team ever, I don't know, but I have talked to several people who have been watching them for years and they thought so. Who knows? As someone already said, only Coach Rogers can best answer that question.
  3. I know exactly what you're talking about with MAM flopping. If you watch their warmup routine, they even practiced taking charges before the game with the ball handler barely touching them. They knew what they were doing.
  4. WRONG!! Best team in AAA is Hillsboro /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  5. Ok first of all get your facts straight. There is only one player on CR's team who hasn't grew up in the Fentress area and she even has family who lives in Clarkrange. They were also the state runner-ups last year without her. They may not have been AS GOOD without her, but everyone knew coming into this season who had the best chance for a state title. Morons like you need to stay off CoachT before you get on here and embarrass yourself like that. . Plus im guessing you created an account just to make posts like this one. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Congrats Lady Buffs!!! You deserved it Bring home another next year
  6. Maybe you can't read but my post says "would compete" with any team in the state. I did not say Clarkrange would for sure beat them, but simply that I would place my bets on Clarkrange considering I have seen them play a lot this year and no team has even came close to stopping them in the long run. I think there would be some great games between these teams and would like to see it but thats not gonna happen......and that's good you have a girl who is putting up this kind of numbers..it really is pretty impressive but Clarkange doesn't have a "single" standout player either. They have too many weapons for one player to do that... Enjoy some A basketball tomorrow /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  7. Very well stated. That about wraps things up for this one lol /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  8. Good luck to LA!!! Pull another upset!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  9. well there's no way we'll ever find that out so you cant say that for sure but I would place all my bets on Clarkrange in any game, in any classification (A, AA, AAA). They are too deep and every player is a threat so double teaming isn't very productive. They have seen just about every defense possible this year and none have worked thus far. Teams have tried to slow play and run with them; none with success. I haven't seen Gibson or Memphis Central play so I'm excited to see them tomorrow; however, I do think Clarkrange would compete with ANY high school team in the state...... From what I hear about Memphis Central though, they would be the toughest opponent by far so that would be an interesting matchup... If only there was another tournie consisting of the 3 state champs, which would name the BEST high school team in the state...........but that would be to much of a risk for AA and AAA schools to get beat by a single A team (which could probably be the result with Clarkrange this year). /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Good luck tomorrow Lady Buffaloes!!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  10. Clarkrange didn't really use multiple defenders on KC. They didn't have to. Green guarded her just about the entire game and KC looked like she just gave up. Her shots weren't falling and it was just frustrating her even more as the game went on. Once in the 3rd quarter, she sat on the bench with her head in a towel and looked like she didnt even care about coming back in. I think the comments her and her coach/mom made last night on Knoxville news gave the lady buffaloes a little motivation to play even harder today. Congrats Lady Buffs and pick up that gold ball tomorrow!!!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  11. Should be Buffaloe's easiest game in the tournament. Clarkrange by 30 then the subs come in and get a little taste of a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP for about a quarter!!!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  12. Maybe you didnt notice the BOLD and UNDERLINED word "should." Obviously and as stated in about 50 other posts, the hard side of the bracket is undoubtedly on the left.... From what I seen today, no team in the opposite side of the bracket looked very competitive at all...... could have just been a bad day with the butterflies and such because I have not seen most of those teams play before today; but Clarkrange, OS, and Forrest would have more than likely beat all of those teams by 10-15 from what I seen. Once again I say, "should" be an easy championship game, but who knows? This year has been a year of upsets in all classes so anything could happen.
  13. Congrats to LA. Im glad they pulled the upset on this one......This game was definitely worth watching...The Sells girl came out of nowhere with 5 three's toward the end.... Noone in the gym can say they expected that from her... She put it away for LA and will probably receive an all tournament award solely from this game
  14. There's no doubt about that at all. OS is a pretty good team especially when they distribute the ball around. Christopher uses the attention on her to get it to her teammates pretty well.....and from the looks of the right side of the bracket today, any team on the left side would have strolled through the right... Whomever wins this game should have a relatively easy state championship game regardless if its Hampton or Madison...... Good luck Lady Buffaloes!!!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  15. I was a neutral fan in this and did not care who won, but the officiating was not very good toward Clarkrange....and for the comment about the Clarkrange student section trying to pick a fight is a little one-sided....The Grace student section showed no class whatsoever in this game (giving the "s**k it" sign directly to Clarkrange fans on hit free throws, singing "hey hey goodbye" at the end) That just makes your school look bad any way you look at it... There is a line between cheering for your team and disrespect.... Anyway off the soap box...Grace is a pretty impressive team and have a lot of weapons..They definitely have a chance to win it all from what i seen... Good luck
  16. Don't get me wrong....Im definitely goin for PC on this side of the bracket but let's be realistic....They were 4th in the district and are now in the state tournie... They did beat JC the time that it counted and I was right there cheering for it; but 9 times out of 10, JC would have won that matchup. You can't weigh a whole lot about that game....PC has done great to make it this far and I dont know a lot about Madison, but as much as I would like to see it happen, I dont think they will make it all the way.... I hope they prove my prediction wrong though...2 years in a row with 7-A teams competing (if C-Range gets through)...That's pretty impressive.. Good luck to both teams /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  17. That is very true..... He gets frustrated and out of his game easily.. but thats where Clark, Alderman, and Jones will have to come into play... Upchurch will have to use his attention to get one of them open at all times.. Alderman has to be big in this game.... Not the most talented player but he puts more effort and hustle into the game than anyone on the team. He has great defense and scores a lot of points on offensive rebounds and put backs... I think it will be an exciting game nonetheless.
  18. I would say Kayla Christopher
  19. Forrest will probably keep it relatively close through the first half but the Range will pull away big toward the end. Good luck to both teams. Should be one of the better games. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  20. Upchurch is by far their most dominant player and if he gets on it could be a very good game. Once he finds his shot, he'll shoot over anyone. Clarkrange's biggest weakness though, is not playing as a team. That has been their problem the entire season.... In games that they do play as a team, they normally win and look very strong....but when they get frustrated at each other and think about themselves, they fall apart. Also, I know that in the last matchup, one of the Range's starting guards was on the bench and he is usually the one who controls the tempo and pace for the team. .......One of two options for tonights game: Clarkrange plays a close game as a team or Grace wins big. Good luck to both teams. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  21. All Monterey's coach did is bring himself down to an immature level..... That is pathetic...Molly definitely deserved it
  22. Kayla Christopher is a great player and may win Ms. Basketball but it's a good thing they dont really consider the players attitude when they choose....she would be in trouble if that was the case.
  23. Let's just hope that history doesn't repeat itself. I think it was 2001 and also when the current group of seniors were in 8th grade that there was a similar record for the Panthers. Both teams had a huge group of talented players but when they reached high school, it only went down hill. Coaching staff at the high school level for Monterey basketball has been the problem for the past 6 or 7 years, not athletic ability. There have been several teams in the past few years that could have competed with just about anyone, just no one to show them how. With the coaching change to West this past year, we're showing a few improvements but nothing worth being proud of yet. A couple of rebuilding years could be in the near future but once this 8th grade class gets some experience, they should be tough to handle....or at least we can hope....Maybe if that doesn't work, we'll just bring Hoover to the high school level!!!!!
  24. I would hope so. They had absolutely no leadership last year at all. They relied on Caleb Miller to come through for them but things didnt go as planned and no one else stepped in. They will have several good players returning next year who should fill the void for leadership. I'm sure Heady is working his butt off everyday in the off season to get MHS back to par.
  25. I haven't heard a lot about softball this year but I would prob have to say that Monterey will be a little down even if Adkins wouldnt have left. Their long time coach Amy Stevens was transferred to Avery Trace just so they could hire the new girls basketball coach........i bet MHS is regretting that decision about now..Amy was a huge part in Monterey winning as much as they have over the years so I have a feeling they may be a little lost.
