Congratulations to Coach Britton. Franklin County is a great place to live (and fish). I believe He will be happy here. I know the players will be happy to finally have a Head Coach. As for "the talent level being down", I dont believe that in the slightest. There was a lot of talent that walked the sidelines for one reason or another last season. The mark of a good Coach is recognising what talent He has, getting the most out of that player, and playing Him in the position that will best help the Team. As much as I like and respect Mantooth, I dont think either He or his Assistants got the most They could have out of the players. That said, i wonder which Assistants he will keep and Who He will bring in?

They were naming the finalist today. Anyone know who they were?

Does anyone know anything about Coach McCurry? What kind of man He is and what His coaching style is? I know he played His High School ball at FC, and once Coached at Tullahoma, Moore Co, and Marshall Co.

Wonder if any Assistant Coaches at FC applied? I dont really care if the person has been fired or not. I really dont care if He is a 3 foot tall elf with pointy ears if He will be a good Coach. I just want the best man available to be hired.

You may be right David. Colquette was a proven winner at MC. I dont really know what happened at Grundy. The veere? never worked for him there. Has he applied at FC? I lost track of him after Grundy. I hope your right about the parents. I hope whoever they hire dont fall into that. (Not that the Tooth did, just dont want the next one to do it )

I have'nt heard a lot. I did hear that DeMatteo, Hayworth, and Rankin DO NOT have any interest in the job. Coach Carson was seen in the field house this week. He may have been for an interview, I dont know for sure though. Apparently, there are two assistants from Riverdale that have applied. I do not know thier names. If anyone else knows anything more, please post and If anything I have posted here is incorrect, please forgive me. It's like pulling teeth to find out anything around here.

I hear the head Coach at Moore Co. is the front runner. Just a rumour like everything else. I have also heard that they will be extending the interviews because a couple of men have shown interest but are still involved in playoffs. Still just rumours though.

You didnt start the thread, so u have no right to tell anyone what can be posted here. I do think a new thread should be started for the rumer mill about candidates. No one respected the Tooth more than me. I didnt always agree with his coaching, but I always respected the man.

Franklin County has a Head Football Coaches position open. Coach mantooth resigned today.

It was announced today that Coach Greg mantooth has resigned as Head Football Coach at Franklin County. I for one hate to see Mantooth leave. He is a first class Coach and Man. He will be missed.
