  1. A huge fight between Eagleville and S. Pitt. I hope the coaches of both teams take serious actions against those involved. As far as football goes not street fighting, Marco for MP has to be a serious contender for Mr. Football. He looks like he is in a league of his own. In team scrimmages he ran 5 plays in 2 series and had a touchdown pass for 50+ and a touchdown run of 50+. I dont think he played in the srimmages again. As far as teams go I think MP has a slight edge on SP and then Eagleville. SP can be really good if they can get disciplined. Eagleville has great coaching and should make noise in Region 5.
  2. ssssssss, someone told me who you are. If you are who they say, you should be real proud of yourself. If you are who they say, you played for the Tigers back in the early 90's. Now I know back then the Tigers werent very good, but those same boys are doing what these boys today are doing. They are going out there and putting their heart soul into every Friday night in the fall. You come on here as a former player trash talking your school and their football program. I know it might be a little jealousy and thats understandable I mean the Tigers are 31-6 under Coach Smith and his staff. Back to back undeafeated region championships, b to b quarterfinal appearances, three time Hearld Champion, and several weight lifting championships. Ok ok ok, I'll stop. I think you got my point. From what I hear, after coach Smith's first year most of Dugger's players got behind the school and this program. There were still a few who were skeptical and thats ok. They loved their coach. So get over the fact your name isn't mentioned in the locker room about how great a fierce competitor you are. MP has 70 of them now. Now about your quote about about Dailey and his line. Hmmmmmmmmm, from what I hear the wins weren't frequent in your day so to say you would't want to be in Dailey's shoes is funny. I don't think their is a former player from MP that wouldn't want to be in Dailey's shoes. As far as the o-line goes it appears to be a well oiled machined, as one great lineman leaves, their is another faster, stronger, and quicker lineman to take their place. Dailey and the rest of the stable of backs should be licking their chops for huge gains and touchdowns this fall. To end this thread we all need to realize we are making comments about kids who are 14-17 years of age. They just want to win and have fun and forget about all this other garbage. After talking to few of the coaches, they just love the kids and the game of football. They have a few coaches who dont even get paid a dime. So those select few who cant let go of the past, let it go and get on the bandwagon. As hardcore tailgater, I'll even grill for ya every Fri. night
  3. Congrats to Giles Co. on your new coach. Coach O'conner please build these kids back up to mental playing ability as the last coach had totally destroyed them to better himself AGAIN. You have a great bunch of kids that if you ask them to run off a cliff for ya they will. Good luck and turn GC around. The last guy was too scared to try.
  4. Sounds like another coach I know leaving Giles Co. Wait a minute, what is it you guys have been saying. "He is just bettering himself" This is too funny.
  5. Were you the same guy on another post that wanted a thread closed for coach bashing. Here you are a few days later bashing Marshall Co fans and coaches. WOW.
  6. I know I said my last post was my last but this time it is LOL. 9 teams in 18 years thats family stability. For pete sake for the love of the kids and families involved stay put at BGA for longer than 2 years. But we all know when Lincoln Co. opens up you will be there so I'm just peeing in the wind. Kids at Giles Co. stay strong, I know what happened to you was horrible and I tried to get your back here. Don't quit on football like I have heard rumored. The game itself is bigger than any man is. Take this horrible expierence that has happened to you and use it to make yourselves better men. Don't quit or turn your back on other players like you have witness what has happened to you. Peace out.
  7. I know its bashing TJ, but someone needs to speak for the kids. Really TJ is bettering himself, no argument there, the kids @ GC pay the big price here. Just in the future our administration and coaches have really got to put our kids first. I promise this will be my last post on it. REMEMBER: #1 KIDS #2 FOOTBALL.
  8. So now I'm on a high horse because I'm commited. Last I look Giles Co. school systems werent closing so I'm sure TJ would have had a job. I have nothing wrong with people bettering themselves. The problem I have is with TJ and the way he did GC. You know he went in there and promised the world. In one year he makes them better, then spits on them on way out. He was quoted saying he loved the kids in GC. He may have liked them, but he didn't love them. You don't do what he did to people you love. ThEn to top it all off, he is taking their best talent ot BGA. That sounds like a great stand up guy I would want in my corner. In the long run GC will better without him. Lastly to say kids dont care, you have really lost it. The whole high school level is all about the kids. In today's society administrations, coaches, and parents are forgetting this more and more often. I mean really just reread your post or are you to lazy to look back and find it.
  9. I dont mean to get off football here, but the world also says homosexuality, divorce, and cheating is all ok now. Will I play by those rules? NEVER. These young coaches were brought up different I guess. I have to prepare my kid when he gets to High School football to be prepared to have 3 different coaches. Like I said if I have to play by those rules then I'll guess I will be left behind, but I'll still have my dignity and pride.
  10. Yes. I chose my profession at age 20 and I'm still there today 16 years later. I have had better job offers but I have turned them down because I made a promise to my employer when I was hired that I would not leave. Like I said earlier I guess I'm not the norm as my parents raised me with values. I just wish these kids in high schools were able to be taught these values of commitment and loyalty. Its just not out there today.
  11. No. Its that simple. If I have made a commitment to someone I stick to it. I've been married 15 years and if a young hot 21 year old wanted to marry me, I would say no because I'm commited to my wife. I was raised with morals sorry, I know thats not the norm these days so I guess I'm just ole fashion. My word still means something though.
  12. You can butter it up all you want. The bottom line is he has a track record of using schools and administrations to get what he wants. The kids who play for him are being told lies and they are the one who are paying the big price here. So you can go look into your own mirror and look at the idiot. I thought as a coach the kids were the most important. All they learn from him is its easier to quit than fight through the tough times.
  13. 400 hrs a year. all that petro. WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS he totally distroys after promising them the world, and then he ups for something better.
  14. Exactly, its his choice. He doesnt care about the kids.
  15. How do ya benefit kids and make them better men when all they see is a man quit to better himself because he thinks the grass is greener on the other side. How can you benefit and make a young boy a man when you abandon them after all kinds of commitments in one year. You are right, I dont know all the facts, but I do know these are kids that are paying the price for this garbage. A real man sticks throught the good, bad, and real bad. Three years, three different teams. Ok I have bashed longed enough. Just stay put in one place for the kids sake.
