Listen carefully, Carlton Flatt is only as good as his talent. There is nothing ingenious about his I formation offense and his 50 defense. Why do you run an I formation? Because you have superior talent. Anybody that tries to run the I without a big O-line will get beat. Same deal with the 5-3 and man coverage. What did he do in his big comeback? Flatt is not going to bring instant wins to Eagleville unless he brings instant talent...........which is possible......... I hate to bust his EGO, but there are many many coaches around the state that would have won with the talent HE assembled in the 1990's. Barry Switzer is proof of that with his SuperBowl in Dallas, who wouldn't have won a SB with what JJ assembled before he was fired. Furthermore, as those people left Dallas, Switzer was exposed for what he is. Flatt will be exposed as well.

I started this mess, so I will try to finish it. If Antioch did a 6:00 minute running clock in the second half (as the box score does indicate that), that was the correct thing to do. MY BEEF with them is the 2 Q, (at the end of the first Q it was 31-2). I was told they kept pressing in the 2nd with their main rotation. That is my problem. I can't imagine pressing a team until the score was 65-2 with your main rotation. I TOTALLY agree the subs should play hard, my point is to call of the press and start putting subs in after the 1st quarter, or even with a few minutes left in the first (they were already up 20 and it is very apparant Stratford had no chance). GAMES are more about life than just the score. However, I guess Antioch did teach the Stratford girls something about life. Whenever you are down, some people still kick you! Wow, that is impressive! NOT! What kind of coach would do this? Yeah I know that goal is to win but this is ridickulous. Is is any wonder Stratford can't get players. Good luck to him. Not sure I would be spewing "four state championships in a row" when you only have to beat about 8 teams. But hey, its not his fault, well come to think about it, it is BA's fault for all of this. Anyway, good luck on the next level.

It is very hard to repeat, how many schools do you see winning back to back state championships, not many.

A coach the somebody should be giving a try is the definsive coordinator at DCA, I believe he has a ring and their defense is always one of the tops in the state.

Here are the facts 1. Some think TJ is unloyal and strings kids along until he gets a better job. (they indicate his past jobs) 2. Others say he does what he has to do better his family and job. Here is my opinion Contrary to the #1 opinions on this board, I have no problem what he did. Folks, this is high school football. Those kids will not even care half way through the season, especially if they get a good coach. TJ did not sign a contract. UNLESS he said (even verbally), I will be here for the long haul, then you can't fault the guy. One reason you go to college is so you can get a good job. One thing people like to do once they get a job is to constantly advance. This is business. To the guy (don't want to go back to the previous page and find your name) who criticized TJ and said he has worked at the same place for 19(?) years. I have this to say. Congratulations on your loyalty, BUT if your business owner was losing money, you would lose your job (see GM, Ford, etc...) in a heartbeat. So, don't get too high on your horse.

Yes they have a chance because they have a coach that really makes them hustle. I won't predict an upset, but a close game it will be.

Actually tcbasketball you have a good point, I have not ever actually talked to the man so I shouldn't say that. I am just going by how much they run the score up on people and from what hear from other people. I take back that part since I have never met him. I am sure your reasoning for running up the score is, "it is there job to stop us!" True, but when it is 48-0 in the 3rd and you keep scoring and scoring......................to each is own. Now back to YOUR list, #5 is wrong. TC went 3A a couple years ago so they didn't have to play David Lipscomb/Goodpasture in 2A. Now that each of them is in 2A or 3A, TC went back down to 1A. Perfectly fine and understandable. Just wanted to point out that TC is avoiding the privates, not the other way around.

People complain about Trousdale because their coach is arrogant.

Here are the facts 1. David Lipscomb and Goodpasture are both private. 2. They both win. 3. People will ALWAYS complain when they win. 4. Fair or not, it is a fact and it comes with the territory. 5. Comparison: David Lipcomb/Goodpasture don't play DII because they don't think it is fair for them. Publics don't want to play these two because of the same reason. They don't think its fair. They only get the kids that are zoned for them. 6. Mt. Juilet Christian doesn't win 7. Publics don't mind playing them 8. David Lipscomb and Goodpasture need to have a few losing seasons and all of this will die down..........until you start winning again. Once again, justice is served.
