  1. Could not have said it better myself! No disrespect to this years team, but it's not really an even comparison. Even the Hampton coaches agree! What does that say?
  2. Just a response to this. Not in my words, but in Hampton Coach J.C. Campbell's words from the Johnson City Press Last Week. "This team and the 96 team are very comparable, they have similiar records and all, both had a great running back and an outstanding line. The only difference is that the 96 team did it in double A, and theres a huge difference there." Don't forget the 96 team ran the table in 2-A, and with all the private schools. They were the last public school standing in 2-A!
  3. hey bro-- didn't mean any offense. Just looking for some intelligent conversation, and some intelligent comparisons. But i guess intelligence is beyond your grasp. Anybody with any intelligent insights!!
  4. Hey listen, not rooting for Trousdale by any means. I hope like crazy that we win, but I am a realist. I just don't think we have played anybody yet, and when we do, like this Friday. We "could" not will be in trouble. But anyway, get em boys! Hey PUJO, you a coach for the dogs??
  5. ALRIGHT DIE-HARD HAMPTON FANS--LET'S HEAR IT. WHO'S THE BETTER TEAM? LET'S HEAR THE ARGUMENTS FROM BOTH SIDES!
  6. so pujo, are you a coach for the dogs??
  7. Hey man, I'm not disrespecting them, I'm there to watch them almost every game, they are great group of kids, they play hard. I just think there is way too much hype over a team that really has only played a couple of teams. Hey if they beat this team, then I will put them equal to the 1996 team. Almost everybody they played was tough. And if that team had not have had STUPID coaching calls, they would have had the 2-A gold ball!
  8. i've gotta say that ole farmboy sounds like me, a Hampton Fan but a realist. Who have they played this year. They squeaked by a mediocre Happy Valley team, 2-A, where Hampton should really be, and Happy Valley was what 5-5. Happy Valley is probably the best team they have seen this year, still not saying much. I hope that Hampton sticks it to TC, but if they are at all like they say they are. Well let me just say that I am a realist. Could be like the 2nd round game in 1995 with Meigs Co. for the dogs. Meigs 61- Dogs 8.
  9. Gotta say Amen to Farmboy. Being a long-time Dog Fan. I've gotta say that this team is ok, but they're not playing anybody. If they were still 2-A, they would have been lucky to win 7 games this year. If Trousdale is a for real team, Dogs are done. Sorry boys, but you have beaten bad teams too long. Now it's crunch time. TC 35- Hampton 21
  10. Are you kidding, did you even see the '96 team play, apparently not. Taylor set that record against real teams. 1996 Hampton's first three rounds of the 2-A playoffs, Alcoa, Notre Dame, and Knox Webb. Enough said, these guys are good at beating poor teams, but if they are 2-A this year, 7-3 at best and no better than 2nd round. Get real!!
